      Way to go Billy - bring a propaganda parrot to reinforce you "views". Why didn't you guys discuss USUK's financing of the "Orange" terrorists (2004) who were trained in Poland and Lithuanian in sabotage and assassination? Why didn't you discuss how USUK got their installed Puppet Regime to start a Gas War against Russia and the EU in 2005 which made Russia and Germany build the Nord Stream to bypass Ukraine.
      How was "Yushchenko" "poisoned" and was just fine at the same time? If somebody wanted him assassinated he would have been dead. They knew he couldn't get the votes so they created this propaganda BS.
      Why didn't you talk about the EU demanding "Shock Therapy" from Yanukovich (basically starve millions of pensioners to death like they did in my country Bulgaria), while Russia offered Billions in aid?
      Why didn't you discuss the attack on the Russian peace keeping forces by Georgia? Was Georgia really a "great" War and Invasion and "that proved yous right"?! Ridiculous reasoning!
      Also Ukraine is not a member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), so what is this buffoon talking about - "why didn't Putin send troops when we did the Coup of 2014" like Kazakhstan.
      You guys are not just innocently biased, or innocently ignorant, you are paid liars!

How did Russia manage to destroy two armies - the Junta's starting inventory and the one donated by NATO? How does Russia mange to maintain 100 to 1 POW ratio? GTFOH!

    Honestly, asking someone some version of "Have you committed a war crime?" in an interview is a bit pointless.
    Except in exceedingly rare cases the answer will always be some version of "I would never do something like that." whether it's true or not.
    And in most cases the "No" will likely be perfectly honest, but there's no way of knowing for sure, unless you have actual evidence of it.

The positive side of it is the ingenuity of all those new people. Who would have known that dropping grenades from drones would be so effective against Russian troops, even moreso than dropping different types of propelled grenades? At the same time, there are very foolish Ukrainian squad leaders that are taking reckless risks and I would say that is unprofessional. I think humvee teams would fall into a category of Ukrainians having zero experience on how to utilize them, so a westerner would make a huge difference.

    At around 44:50, of course it's complicated, and I don't expect a shooter like Yuri to be an expert on it, but it was around that time, with the Maidan protests, etc. that that sick ogre of a bli1ch Victoria Nuland and the U.S. was interfering with Ukraine, doing a typical State Dept. / CIA perception management campaign that helped generate all this Ukrainian nationalism, to the point where some heavily armed Neo-Nazis did their own pre-version of January 6 on the Ukraine Parliament building, taking over the gov't, which led to the victimizing of Russians living in Ukraine.
    I'll admit that I'm not an expert on it either (I probably know more about how the same types of players trashed a model international agreement - the 1954 Geneva Agreement on Vietnam, in order to get the U.S. directly involved over there), but yeah, it is complicated, and I could tell by just looking at Yuri's neurolinguistics that he probably wanted to avoid this subject entirely, since it entails U.S. involvement.

    at 22:10 he responds to his interviewee who was saying 'this is great! we were trading AT4s for BTRs'
    and says 'yeah a javelin costs as much as a new ferrari but it doesn't matter if you use it on a 50 year old BTR-60.'

    1:47:54 I am Serb and I really support Russia in this, but I also agree with everything you said, and everything Yuri was saying couple of minutes prior to this. What NATO did to Russia is bad, they provoked this war. But Russia should have found some other way to handle NATO. Ukraine was pushed into this by NATO, still, Russia should have found some other way to handle the bad guys. So much devastation - for what? Financial gain? I went trough this when NATO attacked Serbia, and with war before that one. I wish conflict would end today, and discussion would replace fighting, it can be years nehind a table arguing - but no more loss of life. I bet every Ukraine and Russian mother would support this. Just stop, pull a line, keep what you have in this moment and then move the border left or right by political means. Still I find USA responsible for this, and for possible conflict with China. I am so angry for what they did to my country, that part of me desires that their citizens feel what they inflict to others on their own ground. Other part of me just got my second child, and I would like them to live in peace and joy. If that means USA goes unpunished, so be it. Russia and China re same, people are same, politicians are the same. Differance is, politicians in USA change every couple of years (leaders), but in China and Russia they stay for decades - both have plus and minuses, and corruption is scourge of both. I truly wish no one else get hurt by war, Russian or Ukrainian.

    Has anybody read the Minsk agreements? Why was this peace settlement ignored?

    • @cat793cdumpy
      @cat793cdumpy ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Because Russia was the only one at the table that was going to honor the agreement. German Chancelor admitted it was made to stall the fight to give Nato and Ukraine time to prepare for a bigger war with Russia.

    • @swirvinbirds1971
      @swirvinbirds1971 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      1. There are two Minsk Agreements, not just one. The first “Minsk Protocol” was signed on September 5, 2014. It mainly consists of a commitment to a ceasefire along the existing line of contact, which Russia never respected. By February 2015, fighting had intensified to a level that led to renewed calls for a ceasefire, and ultimately led to the second Minsk Agreement, signed on February 12, 2015. Even after this agreement, Russian-led forces kept fighting and took the town of Debaltseve six days later. The two agreements are cumulative, building on each other, rather than the second replacing the first. This is important in understanding the importance, reflected in the first agreement, of an immediate ceasefire and full monitoring by the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), including on the Ukraine-Russia border, as fundamental to the subsequent package of agreements.
      2. Russia is a Party to the Minsk Agreements. The original Minsk signatories are Russia, Ukraine, and the OSCE. Russia is a protagonist in the war in Ukraine and is fully obliged to follow the deal’s terms. Despite that, however, Russia untruthfully claims not to be a party and only a facilitator - and that the real agreements are between Ukraine and the so-called “separatists,” who call themselves the Luhansk and Donetsk Peoples’ Republics (LPR and DPR), but are in fact Russian supplied and directed.
      3. The LPR and DPR are not recognized as legitimate entities under the Minsk Agreements. The signatures of the leaders of the so-called Luhansk and Donetsk Peoples’ Republics were added after they had already been signed by Ukraine, Russia, and the OSCE. They were not among the original signatories, and indeed Ukraine would not have signed had their signatures been part of the deal. There is nothing in the content or format of the Agreement that legitimizes these entities and they should not be treated as negotiating partners in any sense. Russia alone controls the forces occupying parts of eastern Ukraine.
      4. Russia is in violation of the Minsk Agreements. The deals require a ceasefire, withdrawal of foreign military forces, disbanding of illegal armed groups, and returning control of the Ukrainian side of the international border with Russia to Ukraine, all of this under OSCE supervision. Russia has done none of this. It has regular military officers as well as intelligence operatives and unmarked “little green men” woven into the military forces in Eastern Ukraine. The LPR and DPR forces are by any definition “illegal armed groups,” that have not been disbanded. The ceasefire has barely been respected by the Russian side for more than a few days at a time.
      5. Russian-led forces prevent the OSCE from accomplishing its mission in Donbas as spelled out in the Minsk Agreements. It is an unstated irony in Vienna - understood by every single diplomatic mission and member of the international staff - that Russia approves the mandate of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) in Ukraine when it votes in Vienna, but then blocks implementation of that same mission on the ground in Ukraine. Because Russia is a member of the OSCE, and the SMM wants to preserve what little access it has to the occupied territories, the mission is guarded in what it says about ceasefire violations and restrictions on its freedom of movement. Privately, however, they acknowledge that some 80% of such violations and restrictions come from the Russian-controlled side of the border, and those that occur on the Ukrainian side are largely for safety reasons (e.g., avoiding mined approaches to bridges.)

      Because the neocons wanted a conflict so they didn't want a solution, unfortunately Ukraine is now in the unenviable position of being used as a proxy to fight Russia. I visited Ukraine in 2019 and wasn't impressed, the real economy was severely depressed because trade with Russia had basically ended. Nazi memorabilia could be purchased in the open at Maidan square and A3OB had a club house just off the Maidan. There was an air of fear expressed by the ethnic Russians that I met.

    NATO expansion wouldn't be a problem if the United States wasn't part of it. It should've transitioned into a genuinely European security apparatus, changing the name, changing who is part of it, would've gone a long way to ease Russian concerns. An inescapable fact is that the alliance does act, either willingly or without realizing it, as a part of our country's foreign policy. The way the alliance has acted since the warsaw pact ended and the USSR broke up, has been very different, than when those two factors were around. We could call NATO a defensive alliance back then, but ever since the end of the USSR, it hasn't been one.
    th-cam.com/video/TY2DKzastu8/w-d-xo.html Things like this, are why they don't trust the alliance at all and its just because of the United States. Whenever the issue of NATO comes up, its always about where our troops are, where our missiles, radars, and nukes are located. No other country within the alliance really bothers the Russians when it comes to security concerns, but they do view nations that will potentially host our military infrastructure as proxies, not even really as enemies, but pawns of another power.

      @@hochmeisterr I'm American lol but that still oddly applies to our history towards our neighbors to the south. As it turns out, NATO members, even NATO as a whole, has actually attacked and invaded more nations this century than Russia has... gee.. I wonder why they're so concerned about us.. couldn't be our track record betrays our words...
      At the end of the day, everything happens for a reason, we can ignore the 'why' and criticize them as much as we want, but while we remain as guilty as them, if not more, we really don't have a leg to stand on. It could even be argued that we set Ukraine down the path its been on for awhile now, knowing it would lead to a war, and giving them false promises that it would all work out for them in the end.
      But lets look at Russia's track record for the 21st century, shall we? The war with Georgia is blamed on Saakashvili, officially by the EU, so there's one conflict that can't be called invasion. They were invited to Syria by the legitimate government, along with Iran, and were the only two powers there legally, the rest being invaders regardless of whether they recognize the legitimate authority or not. Kazakhstan officially requested aid with civil unrest that is suspected of being staged by our NGOs operating in the country. And now we have Ukraine, a complicated quagmire that reeks of US meddling in the internal affairs of Ukraine since 2005. How many countries has the United States invaded, intervened in, bombed, staged coups in, just in this century alone? How many of its NATO partners participated in these actions alongside us? Yet Russia is the problem country...
      One can argue, that until the security concerns Russia has with NATO are ironed out, pushing to their borders should've been easily recognized as a point of no return where they would respond to this as a threat. Yet we encouraged and nudged along Ukraine with false promises of membership, that by our own rules, we knew we couldn't keep because of the Crimea and Donbas issue. Which would lead the Russians to believe that forcefully resolving both issues in order to join NATO, would be the natural next step towards that goal, as demonstrated by the use of water as a weapon in Crimea for 8 years (which is a crime against humanity btw), and the intense shelling of Donbas in the month leading up to the war.
      The revelations brought forward by Angela Merkel, François Hollande, and Petro Poroshenko about Minsk 2 being a deception for a military solution supports this belief. The insistence of the British acting on our behalf, to sabotage peacetalks, and our own government's position of demanding no negotiations take place at all, demonstrates the foreign policy nature of NATO that has warped the alliance into a tool of our power projection. For as long as this remains the case, NATO will always be considered a threat to them because of the nature of the United State's role within it as overlord.

    I knew this guy was clueless and nothing more than a propagandist when he said that Russia suffered a humiliating defeat when they were repelled from Kiev. You don’t take a city of 3 million people with 30,000 troops. But you can use them to apply political pressure to force a negotiated settlement.
    And it worked because the 2 sides had come to an agreement in the Istanbul talks which led to Russia withdrawing their troops from outside of Kiev. It worked until the deal was scuttled by the West and Zelensky back tracked.
    Also if that was a bad defeat for Russia then that 30 mile long column of Russian tanks and troops would have been smashed by the Ukrainians but it wasn’t even touched because the Ukrainians had no capability to do so. That’s because the Russians were in control.
