The glitch at 5:39 was the only one I found by accident. I became super sonic and was breezing through and i hit that enemy after a big drop, and it slowed the game down for a while and froze. I had to rewind to get out of it, but it was an interesting moment

In Aquatic Ruin act 2 as a kid I stumbled upon the "flaming animals" xD my mom was sleeping on the couch I tried to wake her in time so someone could see it, and actually I came here to see if it was a known thing. 😆
The reason Eggrobo in Death Egg zone starts disappearing when there's two of them is because the VDP in the Genesis can only display 80 sprites at a time. If the sprite list overflows, new sprites won't be rendered. This is exacerbated by the explosion spam triggered when you beat the level and further reduces the number of sprites rendered on the screen.
I know it's late, but here's a Fun Glitch: If you're playing the game while being in debug mode, die and while sonic is in his duying animation *press B* and place any object anywhere. The color palette will go crazy and the only way to get rid of that is to: 1. Actually die. 2. Restart the level. or 3. Restart the game. *OR* you can just keep repeating the glitch as every time you get out Debug mode, you alive again.
No, it's not. If you *press B* again AFTER the glitch, the level will resume like nothing happened. Then you can either *die*, or *press Start and then A* to get to the Title Screen, and from there to the Sound Test/Level Select.

I remember getting stuck in Green & Chemical. Also imagine playing Sonic 1 & you're like 7 years old and accidentally put in the code to go into Debug mode! That tripped me out not knowing what it was or how to repeat it.
A + Start, I hope you’re reading this. At the start of Metropolis Zone Act 2, I placed a bunch of capsules (don’t remember how many) and released the animals in all capsules, Also, a quick side note, the capsule’s Sprite is glitched. After releasing all animals in all capsules, the game skipped Metropolis Zone Act 3 and the game took me straight to Sky Chase Zone.
The life underflow glitch is in sonic 2 xl: get enough onion rings to get the final stage of fat, die of drowning, then be at the right time to die again of heart attack.
4:30 "9 times out of 10 you will get 3 matching simbols". Do people seriously manage to get 999 rings like that??? most of the times the 3 matching simbols are 3 robotniks for me...
I suppose the next Glitch video will be about Sonic the Hedgehog 3 then? If that does happen, it would be better to use Sonic 3 & Knuckles as Hyper Sonic can really help with some glitches.
Kyle Campbell not a glitch, but start up the game, go to any act, do not do anything for around 3 minutes. Sonic will say "I'm outa here!" and jump off the stage. This will result in an instant game over and progress wasted. This is frustrating because when I forget to pause and need to do something, my time playing was just wasted.
5:40 I think this is how crash happens. When Sonic falls at this speed, many sprites are loaded and lots of codes are running. When you kill rex, after getting on raising platform, game reaching maximum amount of codes and sprites and crashes.
I triggered this glitch as a child and was so gutted when I did. It was the first time I had ever unlocked Super Sonic too, which is probably why it was easier to trigger because I could just run off the platform and straight into Rex instead of jumping.

You've forgot the shield glitch: when you turn into Super Sonic next to a shield monitor the shield sprite becomes yellow, this happens because Sonic and the shield share the same colour palette, so when Sonic becomes yellow the same thing occurs to the shield

5:37 You can do that crash with perfect timing on the first one of that enemy you see in act 2. Just roll, hit the spring to be fired right and upwards, hit the rock, and then hit the enemy at the right frame of his rising animation. Hope you're using Bizhawk, since pulling it off might take up to 10 rewinds. I found it while playing the romhack "Sonic 2 Long Edition" by accident, and thought it was weird. I loaded up the NORMAL Sonic 2 to test it out on there, and it still worked.
you didnt mention this glitch which i did by accident during normal gameplay (this glitch only works in knuckles in sonic 2) as knuckles go to the part of the badnick on the wall with the tube in chemical plant zone act 2, jump into the tube but time a glide correctly and you are in the tube, wait for the badnik to hit you and very strange things happen such as knuckles going crazy in the tube while standing during lag occurs and you randomly exit out of the tube and you instantly lose a life. i discovered this during normal gameplay (i was not looking for any glitches) note that this will only work in knuckles in sonic 2 (obviously).

I've always had a question about a Sonic the Hedgehog mystery/glitch that happened to me as a child. I think it was Sonic 2.... in an underwater scene, for no discernable reason (not drowning), Sonic died, and the screen displayed a question mark. Then some melancholy music played that wasn't played anywhere else (but you could find it when you went to the menu and listened to all songs). Does anyone know what this glitch was?
The song you’re talking about is most likely Hidden Palace Zone, which was a cut level. There’s a couple prototypes of Sonic 2 that include this level.
that is the slope glitch, you can do it with sonic too on that zone...I called it the Airwalk the one where he comes back walking on air instead of flying while still being controlled by the machine

Their are some glitches you missed in chemical plant act 2 when going to the water part go into the ball form when going to those fast things and sonic will go upside down and get stuck in the loop (well sometimes) In casino night zone act 2 when going to part where their are two small bounce things that take 3 jumps to get rid of if you curl when going for the one on the left you will get slightly stuck in the wall In any act in casino night zone if you turn super sonic and go to the slots sonics color palate will be super sonics color but isn't the same (this isn't really a glitch) In hill top (act 2) hit the spring hit the rock and take out page enemy and sometimes the game will crash In mystic cave act 2 if you jump on those levers in a certain way sonic will be holding onto nothing In metropolis act 2 or 3 sometimes if holding left or right when in tubes you will fall through it
There's a glitch in the new sonic 2 remake for iOS or android where if your in metropolis act 2 the second platform after the move things and when you get hurt and the plat form that keeps going up and down will stop moving and your kind of stuck

There's a Debug glitch that soft locks the game it's when you summon a capsule near a checkpoint. As soon as you release the capsule, run and activate the checkpoint. Then the game softlocks. Do not worry. If you summon a spin post, and activate it. Then you De-soft lock it. But it will take a while...
I don't remember I met Metal Sonic. But I remember I could not become Super Sonic or enter debug mode. I didn't ever meet such many glitches. I don't know if the game version problem. But I remember in Megaman 2, I met the glitch that I cannot meet Dr. Wily and the screen is fully black and these's only Megaman in final boss.

Just roll, hit the spring to be fired right and upwards, hit the rock, and then hit the enemy at the right frame of his rising animation. Hope you're using Bizhawk, since pulling it off might take up to 10 rewinds.
I found it while playing the romhack "Sonic 2 Long Edition" by accident, and thought it was weird. I loaded up the NORMAL Sonic 2 to test it out on there, and it still worked.

you didnt mention this glitch which i did by accident during normal gameplay (this glitch only works in knuckles in sonic 2) as knuckles go to the part of the badnick on the wall with the tube in chemical plant zone act 2, jump into the tube but time a glide correctly and you are in the tube, wait for the badnik to hit you and very strange things happen such as knuckles going crazy in the tube while standing during lag occurs and you randomly exit out of the tube and you instantly lose a life. i discovered this during normal gameplay (i was not looking for any glitches) note that this will only work in knuckles in sonic 2 (obviously).

I've always had a question about a Sonic the Hedgehog mystery/glitch that happened to me as a child. I think it was Sonic 2.... in an underwater scene, for no discernable reason (not drowning), Sonic died, and the screen displayed a question mark. Then some melancholy music played that wasn't played anywhere else (but you could find it when you went to the menu and listened to all songs). Does anyone know what this glitch was?
The song you’re talking about is most likely Hidden Palace Zone, which was a cut level. There’s a couple prototypes of Sonic 2 that include this level.

In chemical plant zone act 1 if you place spines in a wall and tails is inside it and try go into the wall with debug mode it crashes and you have to start the whole game again

Their are some glitches you missed in chemical plant act 2 when going to the water part go into the ball form when going to those fast things and sonic will go upside down and get stuck in the loop (well sometimes)
In casino night zone act 2 when going to part where their are two small bounce things that take 3 jumps to get rid of if you curl when going for the one on the left you will get slightly stuck in the wall
In any act in casino night zone if you turn super sonic and go to the slots sonics color palate will be super sonics color but isn't the same (this isn't really a glitch)
In hill top (act 2) hit the spring hit the rock and take out page enemy and sometimes the game will crash
In mystic cave act 2 if you jump on those levers in a certain way sonic will be holding onto nothing
In metropolis act 2 or 3 sometimes if holding left or right when in tubes you will fall through it
There's a glitch in the new sonic 2 remake for iOS or android where if your in metropolis act 2 the second platform after the move things and when you get hurt and the plat form that keeps going up and down will stop moving and your kind of stuck

There's a Debug glitch that soft locks the game it's when you summon a capsule near a checkpoint. As soon as you release the capsule, run and activate the checkpoint. Then the game softlocks. Do not worry. If you summon a spin post, and activate it. Then you De-soft lock it. But it will take a while...

But I remember in Megaman 2, I met the glitch that I cannot meet Dr. Wily and the screen is fully black and these's only Megaman in final boss.
