Been living in london for 3 years now. These cities are really good. Beaches and institutions are really important if you want your house to appreciate fast.
This . Cash flow positive cities . People don’t understand how important it is . For healthcare , community programs , infrastructure - the city needs to have money. I live in similar town called Ancaster which is in Hamilton region, I am here because of the reasons you mentioned / barring Indian community - my goal was a mixed neighborhood. I am very happy , 70 kms to Toronto , 70 to Kitchener Waterloo and London . 60 to Brampton and Mississauga. Has everything within 4 kms of my house - big box stores, restaurants, boutique shops ! You name it , you have it. It is better to not be stretched financially in order to enjoy life- we were okay with not living in other major cities. Hope you enjoy your new home 🏡

I believe you made a great decision. Living in big cities has many cons like the cost of living that is very high, traffic everywhere, no space to relax, stress and have to pay parking. The pros are the entertainment, food and sports. If you are lowering your the cost of living in a smaller town there's nothing wrong with it. It's a smart decision to get a good size house with nice patio for the fraction of Toronto's prices and taking care of your personal finances to save more money.
Windsor is near to border of America far better city than sarnia

I live in sarnia. An international student. Its best city to live if you like peace , nature. Community is so good for students. People are welcoming. Great choice sahil bhai . I hope see you soon someday in sarnia.

Brother was there any particular reasons of choosing Sarnia over Windsor? As I am following you since very long and saw your vlogs about Sarnia when your brother came to Canada and that city seems to be more smaller than Windsor so I was expecting it to have less opportunities, outdoor activity options, and restaurants. Maybe things might have changed now. So was it due to house prices difference between two cities only or any other reason?
House prices and Windsor is not in that 2 hour radius.

Living in London. The flashy lifestyle in Toronto is inviting. But I find peace in London and everything is within a 2-hour driving range. From Toronto to Grand Bend to Detroit.

@@Philosophy824 Both, Kitchener and Brampton are inside GTA, and lifestyles in both cities are quite similar. I think you should decide according to your university location and the city where you have some acquaintances.

To be honest with you all your criteria
Few hour from major big cities, University, Young crowd, Groceries, & lake shore is all met by Niagara. I was surprised when you said Sarnia. Even to come to Toronto it takes more than 3hr drive from Sarnia. Niagara meets all the criteria and most big cities are maximum 1.5hr drive.
I just knew Sarnia better.

But sarnia have some air pollution issues. Searched on youtube and i got lot of videos from local residents complaining about this issue
I also had similar criteria so my search led me to Chatham and I love it here after moving from Toronto. no more paying rent. let's meet up as we are 30 minutes drive away. I am also a dentist from India. I was in Sarnia yesterday.
