She still is my favorite from ‘Saturday Night Live’ past and present shows!! Several years ago, I bought several gift cards that had her voice doing her ‘Roseanne Roseannadanna’ character. I kept one for myself, just to listen to her doing her famous routine (I listened so often, that it stopped working). Yes, if they had made a Roseanne Roseannadanna talking doll..... I would have bought one.

The oddity of it, from my perspective, was that the show utterly cratered without Phil Hartman in 1994-95, even with talent like Farley still present.

However, you have pontificated quite wrong in trying to blame one party for being unwilling to compromise. It is clearly both parties engaged in that game. Also, you seem to have overlooked the many compromises occurred during the Clinton administration when there was a republican controlled congress. Roseanne Roseannadanna, Emily Litella, and the infamous Baba Wawa. When I was a teenager back in the 1970's all the kids would run home on a Saturday night, and I'd ask em where are you guys going and they'd reply, that we're going home to watch Saturday Night Live. The not ready for primetime players made it worth watching. Gilda Radner was the best !!! RIP !!!

One of my ALL TIME favorite acts on Saturday Night Live was when Gilda Radner & Steve Martin were dancing (mostly spontaneously) all over the stage, trying to dance likel Fred Astaire & Cyd Charisse!
Steve was tap dancing like crazy, and Gilda was doing the same. He tried to hoist her up in the air, and nearly killed himself & her too, but they kept dancing & dancing!
    Hilarious!
    👍😂😂😂👏👏👏👏😘
    What a CLASSIC!!!
It’s like Johnny said ... “I laughed so hard, I almost did things grown up’s shouldn’t do!”
    Miss you Gilda & Johnny!
    And, Gene Wilder, too! 😢

I just finished Gene Wilder's autobiography. Gene was honest and true in what he wrote about Gilda. He didn't portray her as perfectly adorable goddess; he portrayed her as a human being, full of charm, humor, and childlike vulnerability. Gene found Gilda to be unique and full of life. That was the gift her talent gave us.
