    She was a brilliant comedienne. The world became a sadder place upon her passing.

    OMG this is a heartbreaking interview. I remember them both so well because my parents were huge fans. Such an honest and real interview. I wish people today gave them.

    Gilda was one of a kind, her different characters on SNL were hilarious. I know what Gene was saying when Gilda would take out her anger on Gene, what she told him is exactly what I saw so many times and explained to friends and family members of my patients. I am a retired oncology nurse, the patients were so vulnerable, filled with fear and anger and of course all the physical side effects, the pain and nausea, they did not want to take that out on their caregivers, but a spouse, adult child, dear friend they could let it out knowing that person loved them and would always be there for them. How happy I am to have been able to enjoy all the laughs Gilda brought to the world, and how sad she passed too soon.

      The fact is, he moved on. It's good that he got over the loss and found happiness with someone else. If you can do that when a loved one dies, that's a good thing. They wouldn't want you to live on in pain and sadness.

    I think Gene was a product of his generation and knows how to compartmentalize. But what this is is honest, raw and real. Relationships are so complicated. This was one.

    Oh ok wow, he just expressed his feelings and words in context..that's often very hard to do regarding talking of how you feel about someone. I always loved Gene wilder, he had/has a warmth about him that I can't describe more than that.

    Bruising up in Scotland.. We didn't have SNL, I didn't even know about it. I would see Genr and Gilda etc in the movies. Gilda could make me laugh like no one else at times. She could make something hilarious or of noting but a look. She was brilliant.

    We met, we got married, did 3 movies, she got sick and died. Not the most memorable way to recount a relationship....but there was some admiration there and definitely sadness. He deserved happiness after that tragedy.

      I guess what Gene meant to say is that he didn't expect to go on the roller-coaster ride he did with Gilda. You get married, you live happy ever after. Instead she got ill and died. You can tell that Gene is still visibly shaken by it all.

      He wrote a really great memoir and talked about Gilda. He said she was often sad because she wanted a child. Heartbreaking. It’s called, Kiss Me Like A Stranger.

      Well, think about hiw many times he's been asked the same thing, over and over. The world knew what they meant to each other. To retell it fir the umpteenth time must get so hard for him. He loved her so much and was so devoted, and he still misses her.

    Gene Wilder could never tell a lie. He seems pretty blunt here but you know everything he says about Gilda is genuine. And that's the man she fell in love with. Love that apartment story.

    Ovarian cancer to me is one of the most scariest cancers.. they still don't have good screening tools and it's so deadly

    • @lemurianchick
      @lemurianchick 28 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You're looking at it all wrong. Cancer doesn't drop from the sky. There is cause and effect in the Universe. It's probably caused by birth control pills as well as hormone replacement therapy for menopause. You're in the Matrix and brainwashed with what the medical mafia tells you to do. Screening isn't the effing point! 🤦‍♀️ That just justifies poisoning a person with toxic waste like chemo. You can't poison yourself to good health! Alkalinize! Alkalinize! Alkalinize! Cancer cannot survive in an alkaline environment. Fresh fruits and veggies for the win!
