It's Little Red birthing season and the first of our pregnant mums in care gave birth this morning.
We have 10 Little Reds overwintering mostly due to barbed wire injuries and as the Reds have left town to winter and give birth in Far North Queensland, we must await their return next summer to release our current lot.
Baby looks okay but I'm a little concerned that it hasn't attached to one of mum's two nipples as it should.
Mum is also a little shaky so I'm heading back out to check on them both.
Stay tuned for another video.

Brand new baby red! Mom said no paparazzi, lol!
I’m with momma - no one wants to be filmed when just having given birth! Gorgeous little one❤
Thank you Mrs. Batzilla for sharing this video of a little Red baby♥️🦇 being born to beautiful Red Mumbat!♥️🦇🥹🥰
Congratulations to all. ❤❤
Beautiful Mom and baby. Mom doesn't want to show off her baby quite yet. It helps to have big wings to cover up your baby. Bless them all. 😻😁😻
This is so special! ❤❤❤❤ I love how mommy covered the baby with her privacy screen. 😂
Awww 🥰 mummy and baby so precious ❤
She quickly closed her wings. She may have felt the baby let go with his feet.
Yeah, it looked to me like she was trying to keep the baby on her more than hiding them; then fussing to try to get her baby to latch on.
@@circeciernova1712 Yes , there was urgency like when one knocks something over and grabs for it.
Another little red! 🇨🇦🦇❤
Ya done good, Mum!
Precious gift thank you for caring about the batties 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩💖💖💖💖🦇🦇
Awwwww a little baby red fox, is really cute
Baby! How cute!!!
So beautiful!❤
Let’s hope that no more barbed wire features in their future❤❤
Hey red baby! Welcome to the world. Great job red mommy.
Awww, sweet mama and baby! I get the postpartum shakes every time without fail, too. ❤
Thanks for the nice video.
Aww, hello mum and baby! Lovely to see them both doing well! God bless you batzilla for your hard work looking after them all, 😊😊❤❤🦇🦇
Mom's so proud, but like, ugh, wish this placenta hurry up I need a snack. 😂 nothing is wasted right
What a good mum
So beautiful mum ! and her baby
Very cute bats
May I ask, why is the bat shaky?
She may be a little hypocalcemic so I just given her some diluted black currant juice and glucose gel. She's stopped shaking now.
@@BatzillatheBat Aw, they're so cute. That's good to know
Thank you for the question & thank you for the answer! I was wondering the same.
❤yea!!! I want to see one being born! Please post as much as you can!❤

😅❤❤❤
Congrats mama red. The baby is very tiny, but will get as big as her mom in no time. Is she shaking because the placenta hasn't been birthed yet?
Yeah, I'm sure it has nothing to do with the entire child she spent a few hours on crapping out.
She seems to be shaking, either from weakness or maybe she's cold?
💞
🥰😍❤💕💗💋👍👏👏
They just pop out just like that? Whilst mother is hanging upside down? Any chance the new born fall from heights of the tall trees?
I've seen a video where the mum gripped with her thumbs also, together with her feet, so she made a "hammock", during birth. I don't know if all species do that, but seems practical!
Mama didnt like disturbing her baby birth☹️😥😖 Its hard enough ❤
