great video angle to be able to see clearly, also thank you for showing just what I wanted to do, and that was to put a water cut off valve on. Looks like it would have came with one. DA!
Great video, I just replaced mine twice along with the vacuum breaker once and it STILL leaks into the bowl🤷🏽♂️ That being said I have a trip in two days so plan to add a shut-off. Great idea! It'll buy me the time until I can really dive in to find my issue.
I had to call a friend to help me with my toilet last week but not sure when he will be able to get back to it. So I’m here watching you and learning because I have to learn this stuff for myself since I will be traveling and can’t afford to call a repair person every time I turn around. I’m buying tools too so I can do these things. I can’t locate that crimper tool though. I’m searching Amazon and blowing up the video images of it so I know what to grab. An exact name would be so very helpful. Thank you for this video to guide me.
First off thanks for watching! The tool you are looking for is called a PEX cinch tool. They have a few different ones on Amazon but they run about 20-30 depending on what in the kit. I hope thus helps you.
Thanks for the strait forward instructions. The new valve is in and not constantly filling the bowl. I also installed a shut off valve, but couldn't find one that is chromed and has a drain. AAA+++
Great idea to put in a shut off valve absolutely dumb factory install them at least on the toilet My went out today after I got everything thawed and going Nice work
Thanks for the video! We just got a camper and noticed the toilet leaking but it is leaking from that plastic part that attaches the blue water line to the new valve. I’m not sure where to find this certain piece are you able to help with that? Thanks!
since these videos may be viewed years after they was published, the sellers links on Amazon may because obsolete. I have placed links in videos before and had people messages me upset because the links no long works. i have had several people in recent weeks ask for links, so maybe this is something i will start again. Thanks for watching.
So this weekend our toilet started leaking… the water is coming out on the round part of the foot pedal (the side of the foot pedal)when you flush! Could it be this valve?
Hello Dale. Is the leak still coming from the valve? A few thing to check, 1 is the leak coming from one of the crimps 2 did you get a bad valve 3 you may have a cracked water line.
@@millersinthemoment5427 no I didn’t check. Just bought trailer recently. Noticed one of the screws were missing. It would drip when pressured up and now it don’t drip when pressured up but when I flush it leaks from same spot
@@millersinthemoment5427 again no, valve only leaks when I flush toilet.does not leak with it just pressured up. It is a pretty good leak when flushing, kinda steady stream
@@mikepagan7529 the only thing inside the housing is the water valve and a lever to engage the plunger valve. If it's only leaking when you flush that means the pressure side is good, so the leak is on the top side heading to the bowl. I would pop the valve out of the housing and push on the plunger in the front of the valve and see where its leaking from.
Wish you would have shown how it was leaking before the fix and then after the fix. Unfortunately, we are RV newbies and just paid a tech $280 to replace this $19.99 part! 🫠😜
Very helpful and impressive that you were able to get such a good angle to show the work.
thanks
Great video! Very straightforward and loved the idea of adding a shut-off valve.

Just fixed my toilet, thanks to you! And soon I'll be installing a shut off valve. Thank you for the VERY handy video!
Great video. Stuff is starting to break in my RV and this is a perfect solution to allow water to continue to run throughout RV.
Thanks for watching
@@millersinthemoment5427el mio es igual le pucho y no sale agua, que será el problema?
Great instructions. Thanks for the help. I’m leak free and flushing.

Try loosening the screws that holds the valve, my thought is maybe the ball valve is slightly depressed allowing water into the bowl.
We had a small leak on our last trip and now I knwo how to fix it thanks to you and this great video. Thank you sir for saving me time and money
Your welcome, I'm glad it helped you out.

Thank you for the video. Have this issue in my 2015 25FB Flying Cloud Airstream. Gonna fix it today!

This video was great help thanks!
Great video! Thank you.
Mine leaks directly under the pedal.... Same thing leaky valve?
Thanks 😊
Great video, where did youget the shut off valve?
I ordered it from Amazon but most home box store carries the shut off valve. thanks for watching.
You should make a list of the stuff with links❤

@@millersinthemoment5427 that makes sense. Carry on😉
Ver informative
Do you have an Amazon link for the replacement valve? Do all RV toilets use the same valve
Thanks for watching. You would need to know which toilet you have and order accordingly.
Thank you.
lol all those shiny new tools.
There called otacur clamps and otacur Pliers
What if my water supply line isn’t staying in the screw on would that be a broken valve, or would it be the water supple line connection
Sounds like you have a bad crimp or a bad fitting.
So this weekend our toilet started leaking… the water is coming out on the round part of the foot pedal (the side of the foot pedal)when you flush! Could it be this valve?
thanks for watching. yes its sounds like the valve is leaking.
What size was the shut off valve? Or do you have a link for which one you used from Amazon?
Thank for watching. I used a 3/8" pex inline shut off that you can get at any
Hardware store. You could also order them on Amazon.
Hello, my name is frank, can I ask you where did you buy the shout off valve? Thanks.
Hello Frank. I got mine on Amazon, but any building supply store or plumbing store will have them.
I just replaced the valve in my camper, it’s leaking, any idea why?

This was on a plastic toilet.
@@millersinthemoment5427 gotcha! Is it any different with porcelain?
Fix and replace with new are not synonymous
I see what I missed the screw!
I broke the nut! I cant get it off to replace it!@ help
Are you talking about the water line nut?
Bought new valve replaced it n still leaks when I flush… buying new toilet
Mike, did you just get a bad valve? Did you check the lines themselves to see if there's a crack in them?
