So here's my story. Wifey flushed our toilet last night and released the pedal and it continued to flow full force. We quickly turned the water off. I found and watched your video. This morning I ordered from the link you posted at 8:30 am. I payed $12 extra and it was delivered by 11:30am!!!. Installed about 3 hours ago and used the Teflon recommendation. Dry as a bone! Thank you so much for your video👍

Thats awesome, glad it helped. I keep a spare valve just in case now since this seems to be a common issue and don't want to get stuck without one.

This video is AWESOME. It was so easy to understand, even I understood. And even I could do the repair. My issues were my age (70) and my lack of flexibility. LOL. The leaking valve did not have the clips attached and no screws. I found the broken clips inside.
    THANK YOU!!!!!!

Thank you so much for the simple, yet complete. instructions! I'm a 69 year old woman who is determined to do what I can for repairs as have had some pretty bad luck with mobile RV repair people. I'm going to keep an extra valve kit on hand - one of those things that isn't too expensive but could be worth its weight in gold when needed!

I recently discovered my camper toilet leaking and this was the 1st video I came upon. Straight forward, easy repair is going to save me a ton of hassle of taking it into the shop. Its still under warranty but since I've had the camper, its been in the shop more then I have had it out so any time saved is time well spent!!! Thanks, and ordered the part from your link!!!

Thanks Man, you added the important cautionary & thorough maintenance tips for a successful repair when dealing with scary WATER issues. My pump would not shut off (intermittently started).
Took awhile but there it was, toilet valve on a 2 yr. old rig. RV service recommends carrying 2 spare items with our other various nuts, bolts, wire etc. a toilet valve and water pump. Maybe, personal choice.

Thank you so much for this video. I am Texas and just had everything freeze up on me. Ran out of propane so even stuff inside froze, including this valve. I can't even flush now, but even before the Great Texas Freeze of 2021, when I put this toilet in Brand new it was doing the same thing as yours, though not continuous but it does continue to seep out for 5 -10 minutes. I think it is just a junk part from factory. I do notice that on the one on Amazon it says "re-engineered" so hopefully it is better than the one from factory. Anyway, thanks so much for showing how this thing comes apart, I don't have quite as much space behind as you but am going to attempt this hopefully without removing the toilet.

Thank the Lord for You Tube. :) And thank you sir for your concise video. I came here after wrestling with trying to get the valve off my toilet and "OH, lookee here, there's a hidden screw at the back keeping it all together" !!
Don't know if it has been mentioned in other comments but for those with tight access (like in Springdale Mini's) it would help if you have a mini mirror on a telescopic arm, and I found that the screw head was also a socket head, so a 1/4 socket/7mm on a 1/4 drive ratchet worked well. Thanks and happy trails

So the continuing saga of the toilet conumdrum is that I replaced the valve ($65 at the local RV store but I opted to wait 3 days for the part to arrive from Amazon for $11.99 as I had a watering can for the toilet and a 2 gallon igloo cooler for sink water) and changed it. It started leaking a few days later and my neighbor asked me if I had a water restrictor on my outside hose. It accidentally got left off the hose on my last trip! The RV manual says water pressure should be between 30-50%. I put it back on, bought another valve and also added an on/off valve to the water line going into the toilet in case it leaks again. All of this cost under $50 compared to a visit from an RV rapair person. Then I had a clog while I was draining the black water, but filled the tank up with hot water, let it sit for a couple hours and all is good! Thanks again!

this is a great video, it doesn't even matter that I don't think I have the same toilet. The step by step walk thru and complete explanation of everything is soo helpful. I now know what to look for when/if this starts to happen. This is a save for later vid. so far all I have is the inside toilet bowl seal leaking and once or twice a year I use plain chapstick on a q-tip to lube that up and it works.

Thank you for making the video that’s exactly what my toilet is doing. I’ve never had it overflow but it runs a little bit which causes the water pump to turn on really quick and off which I’m sure is not good for water pump and it’s super annoying when you’re trying to sleep so I usually just turn my water pump off when I’m not using any water. Hopefully this fixes the problem!

Looks simple enough to replace. I already had to swap that crappy crimp for a hose clamp last year. Just did the 2 on the outside sink due to leaks. Now the toilet valve drips a bit when flushing. Time to replace it.

Did this just today, thanks for the help! The toilet in my lady's horse trailer was getting no water, but no leaks. I ordered the valve and replaced it... up on examination of the original, I saw that the little filter was clogged by what appeared to be little white chunks like you get when you cut PVC. Cleaned the filter and held onto the original as a spare.

Thank you for the video. Very helpful. I have.the dometic 310 tiolet. The valve I replaced and ordered For $13 has 2 tabs, one on top and one on the bottom. My camper I bought brand new last year, they only installed one screw out of two. Anyway your video was helpful since it's hard to see behind the toilet. Also, the sticker with the toilet model number is located at the base in the back of the tiolet next to the flooring. That will give you the model number and other info for your tiolet. Thank you!
