If GTA VI is going to be more ambitious than V then there is NO F***ING way it'll run on the PS4 and Xbox One, hell it was a pracitcal miracle that GTA V ran on the 360 and PS3.

This isn't 2020 and 2021 anymore. Good PC components and 9th gen consoles are not impossible to get anymore without cutting off a leg. If this was during covid I'd be more understanding but the PS4 and Xbone will be like 12 years old by the time this game releases.

Sony sold a GOW Ragnarok Bundle Console...You could only find a PS5 bundled with GOW..they counted that Console bundle sale as a game sale also, even if you didn't care about GOW and just wanted the PS5

Release It for 9th Gen and PC Only....and I don't play GTA...but for the best experience for GTA players... release for Current Gen and PC
I see no reason to hold a game back for old hardware. Yeah, PC is far more forgiving because we get a LOT more options/settings, and the hardware is way ahead on the power curve. Old consoles go nowhere though, and the hardware is generally dated within the first fraction of their generation.
He's not wrong about Rockstar being awful. They have ignored many of their ips. And refuse to do anything besides milk gta 5 online.

This is what I feel when I only have Ps1 and no new game came out for it anymore while weaker hardware,like GBA Advance, still got one. Hence why, I switch to PC gaming

That aside, yeah no, GTA: VI being on 8th gen would be a complete disaster. The author is most definitely spinning this talking point (or really lack there of) for views. As much as I love my older hardware, time marches on and frankly? I rather enjoy my multiplat games on hardware that can push past 30FPS-- even with an RX 460 I can play some newer titles (with some compromise).
I have a handheld console that is more powerful than the base ps4 the steam deck ….. why on earth would you hamstring a game with 10 year old platform the low bar is now the Xbox series s and the steam deck that’s low enough now
I have never played GTA.
Not really missing much you basically do fetch quest for people but GTA 4 tops GTA V for me still. GTA V didn't get any single player content and paired with GTA online the sandbox and main money maker for take 2 cause of shark cards.
