I have a Switch but it’s collected dust for 3 years. I like the games on Switch but the performance is just not good enough. I bought a gaming laptop and it’s way better for gaming even if it’s less portable.

@@gamingguy9006 A gaming laptop is way better though. I can play full on console games at 144 hz and I can play indie games. Switch can only do one of those things and has less indie games than PC.
Dude I used to love my switch It was amazing for what it was but I got the steam deck and that is a truly amazing piece of technology. Most of these newer gaming stuff wouldn't even be possible when I was a kid in the '90s and what I blew my fucking mind. Although I do have fond memories of the game boy and happen to be near light to play my games. Lol
I love it that plastic box fanboys have no real clue about the technical specifications and capabilities they represent beyond the buzzwords they're fed, while PC enthusiasts know where the companies these goofballs worship get their APUs from and exactly what they're capable of in relation to normal PC hardware.

While it's great that No Man's Sky was able to make that comeback, it should never be the standard. Games should be ready to go and playable on day one, not having to wait for several months to several _years_ worth of patches and updates for the game to be good. Live service has ruined people's perception of what "good games" are, because it's no longer "We need to put all our effort into this because we only get one shot," it's "we can throw something basic together and patch it later, they'll eat that shit up," and unfortunately, it's worked.
People cite No Man's Sky for a legendary comeback, but there was legitimate reason and purpose behind what happened that caused No Man's Sky to be a failure, and people also tend to forget that the game was absolutely _lambasted_ on launch because of how broken and damn near unplayable it was. Yes, it's gotten better now, but that doesn't mean the initial reaction just didn't happen. A lengthy rant, but, when people defend these kind of practices, it's just...so baffling and depressing.
At least it got better, most of the time this doesn't happen
Same thing for Final Fantasy 14, they do the same thing with that game as they do No Mans Sky. The thing is, Yoshi-P came in AFTER the game was released to fix it, that's the legendary part of that games comeback. I would never expect a do-over of FF14 1.0 ever again, and when I see a game stumble out of the gate, I don't think "Just give it a few months, and a Yoshi-P type will come around to fix it right up." People really do need to expect better. I love the battlefield series and I wanna play a new one out of the gate, but 2042 started out so bad I'm never gonna give it a chance, no matter how much they improve it.

Consoles nowatdays are PCs , that have restrictions and soldered on hardware. With a UI, Software and firmware updates along with limitations of hardware as well as limiting framerates and graphical and resolutions limitations.
PC has freedom compared to the plastic boxes that are restricted in many aspects.
As a lifelong console peasant since all the way back in the late 80's Atari and then the NES, it's endlessly fascinating to me how these clownpunchers fight each other over whose box is a better boredom killer.
Don't get me wrong, they're fucking hilarious, & making fun of them regardless of platform of choice is a mandatory requirement, but still annoying asf and unfathomably petty.

I play on PC exclusively, but PS fanboys are way worse. Xbox actually seems to give a shit about PC players, where Sony actually actively makes things worse for PC users. (Delayed releases, no cross play etc)
I could never afford a PC growing up and when I had a family it just felt like I was too far behind to learn to use one. Now I'm old and console is just easier for me because I always break something on my PC...lol we all have our reasons for our choices and mine isn't right or wrong imo.
Dude the same you would have broke my child mind if you told me there would be handheld PCs at affordable prices I'm pretty sure the same thing what happened with most new consoles including the switch gaming has came a long way for handheld and Just in general. Lol

For me getting a xbox or ps2 was based off what games they had even tho in my eyes the xbox did look better, then the 360 did just dominst the market and xbox one and ps4 came out and now everyone is being toxic but sony fans are a whole other level.

What yuwu mean by "time"? Yuwu do not spend much time hasling with PCs, and if anything, less time since console takes longer to install/update games because console slows down wifi.
And moneys? If yuwu cannot afford PC gaming at $500, than yuwu totes def not afford console gaming for $500 since consoles require yuwu to pay to play yuwur games online, games are more expensive, no free games, and if 1 part break, yuwu replace all hardware for full price.

i don't understand why people think exclusivity is the best way to play but for me multiplatform game are better gta 5 red dead 2 skyrim oblivion even the witcher 3 are still better than the exclusivity

To be honest I don't care what console you use as long as it gets games and I can play the games. That's all that really matters. Why should someone care what games are being made by what company. When in the end it comes down to can we play it. As long as the game is good it comes out on multiple consults that includes a PC in my books doesn't run like garbage and need a million and one patches to fix it up we should be happy.

Rockstar definitely having the right idea to work on the next-generation instead of idiot developers that develop on next-gen and port to the inferior last generation. Case in point Cyberpunk 2077 porting to PS4 and Xbone or developing on last gen and porting poorly to current gen and it runs like crap on everything see Gotham Knights.
