I don't know they seem more angry about Xbox games being available on billions of different devices. While Sony has just console and PC users. Last time I checked Sony has their own TVs and even smart phones. Why don't they allow PlayStation games to be playable on their own products?

Playstation managed to occupy the same mindspace that Apple has with phones for game consoles. So you get a vocal subsection of Playstation users that think owning a Playstation is some sort of status symbol, and that they're better for owning one. A normal person should be happy that more people get to play their favorite games, these people think it's a slight on their superiority that a perceived lesser can play their games.

You know what’s ironic about the "port begging" comment? Mr "Tyr" has a Clementine pfp, Clementine from Telltale's The Walking Dead games (The Final Season in particular) which are on Xbox, Playstation, PC AND Nintendo Switch. To have a pfp of Clementine he must love the games and Clementine even over Sony games and it's of a game that's on literally every modern console and PC...
These fanboys can perfectly enjoy cross platform games for what they are no issue but because a game is published by Sony they then become allergic to games being anywhere that isn't their beloved console.

It already can be emulated on PC you just don't like the platform that's emulated, which is fine and all, but if that's your reasoning then how exactly are you better than the Sony pony's? Be it on switch or Playstation(3) emulated you'd be playing on PC.. Just sounds pretentious for no reason. This is coming from a guy who owns all the platforms but mains a PC, emulates when I can, and when I can't I'll play on the platform it is available on. While not inherently as easy as playing Xbox games on PC, Playstation games can be played on PC be it their jank app or using ones brain to basically force the games to work on the PC(average user won't pick this option ever)

I have seen this thing where people argue just get the console for game or use the streaming services.
Me and my friend, all of them use a PC not because we've PC Master Race mentality but because we're all software development students and we do gaming just for fun. I primarily like souls games and I've played all of them except demon's souls and bloodborne. There's another thing I have to attend university 8 in morning to 5 in evening. So I can't get a job and even if I stopped my education and got a job an undergraduate gets monthly wages of 160$ max while a part time job only give 30$ a month.
Whenever I bring that against "it's 200 bucks for used console just buy that" 200 for you. they sell a used PS4 for 300-350 bucks while a PS5 for 600-650 bucks not counting all the taxes and stuff. But then people say "oh you're poor, don't play games" or "I was talking about countries that are for human" while replying "I don't consider you human".

I'll tell you right now, I would day one buy Ratchet and Clank's new game if it comes out on Switch 2. Also, the reason Nintendo is still sticking with exclusives is there games big first-party games sell like hotcakes and that helps drive console sales. Though IMO I don't think that plan is gonna last much longer given the way the console scene is going.
Given that the Switch was somewhere between the Ps3 and the Ps4 in power, it'd make sense if the Switch's successor was around halfway between Ps4 and Ps5. Ideally, Nintendo wants it to be powerful enough to get ports of Ps5 games. If it can't at least rival the Steam Deck for power, then they'll start out already behind.

I have a PC handheld that can run anything a PS5 can run. There's no reason a Switch 2 couldn't be like a PS4.

Sony made a lot of mistakes and I mean a lot I think the PS5 VR-2 was a mistake I think that it should have just been called Sony's VR and it should have been compatible with PC and the console day one not putting their games in their subscription service when your competition is doing it was another huge mistake.
The PS portal should have been a device that you don't need to have a PS5 in order to use it whatever games you purchased from the PS Store or if you were subscribed to PS Plus you should have been able to play those games on the go regardless if you were online or not depending on the game a device that cost $200 and I still get to play PS games is a lot more appealing than a PS5 that cost $500 dollars.
And that way Sony could have reached out to people who was not going to spend $400 or $500 on a gaming console and that's where the PS portal would have came in handy
I agree that the PS Portal absolutely sucks, but to make it able to play PS5 games on the go, they'd need to charge a whole lot more for it for it to make sense. I'd rather them make it a 200 dollar emulation handheld with expandable storage, Bluetooth, and access to PS1, PS2, and PSP games.

Nintendo can afford being an exclusive oriented platform because they have accrued a solid, strong fanbase over the span of over 40 years, the kids of the kids who grew up with nintendo now have nintendo. Their games have a formula that works, and will continue to work. Sony does not have that luxury, because they have strayed the Playstation from what made it great: massive libraries of more mature games that competed with Nintendo, and appeal that won over customers from that side. Nowadays, Playstation feels too corporate, too sanitized and stale. The few exclusives that are legitimately great, suffer from being on that platform as it's base shrinks.
Because sony and their fangirls thinks a like. They'd rather boost their ego than improving their profits and community. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

PS5 has literally like a handful of exclusives. Spiderman 2, rise of Ronin, stellar blade, ff rebirth, ff 16 and a few others. The rest are on PS4. It's almost pointless to buy a PS5 until more exclusives drop

A regular switch is already as powerful as a PS3 with a gpu equivalent to a 1650. A regular PS4’s gpu was equivalent to a downlocked 1060, and was outperformed by a 760 build. That’s really easy for a handheld console to beat these days. Switch 2 will probably have a gpu equivalent to a 1080ti or 2070ti from what I’ve seen so far. All that to say; Switch 2 will probably blow a PS4 out of the water.

Pc player here, cmon bro, when the ps4 came out in 2013 it was anywhere near a mid to highend pc, the main limiting factor with it its the cpu. But I agree, we should be putting it behind. We shouldve been doing that since the ps5 came out.
ps4 was a low end pc when it launched it was running gta v at 30fps low texture 1080p facts the alienware alpha was a a med spec pc and it was running games better that ps4 and xbox one so no ps4 was not a med spec pc but a low spec one

@That_Puppet for Nintendo games being strictly Switch exclusive is more of a Nintendo themselves thing, considering that they're still a Japanese company and therefore *extremely* strict about thier IP (and due to the disaster that was the Virtual Boy and Phillips CD-I)
As for games being ported over to Switch? Honestly, id like that myself, but I'd prefer if they were like older games, like for Sony, maybe the Sly Cooper games, or for Xbox, *maybe* the Rare Replay collection, since it might show Microsoft and Sony that there's still some kind of demand for some of thier IP to return from the dead

Its over! Microsoft bringing the games over-Good stuff! Sony bringing the games over-Good stuff(Except not supporting that online account nonsense for those who dont have one(I have one though)). So, the ONLY one that is pretty much in the way is Nintendo. The good news is that since they dont care about hardware, its easy to emulate their games at better graphics and framerate.
If i'm being honest with myself, I miss the old days of there being strict console exclusives. I grew up on consoles, none of my laptops as a kid could run anything other than minecraft (and it struggled running that). It makes me miss the simpler times. I'm glad as a pc gamer now, I don't really have to worry about exclusives, but I miss having a reason to want a console. many good memories on consoles. I am excited for the new switch.
