Switch deseperatly needs a hardware update, i have one, it was a great handheld device, and the removable controlller function and tv deck are innovative at the time, but since the handheld market has grown with the release of the ROG ally (still too pricey) and more so the steamdeck, can do everything the switch can do but with stronger hardware.
Why older gen consoles are better than current gen consoles: Older generation consoles provide an expansive library worth of games with quality single player/multiplayer game play experience (not just remakes and remasters) and older generations are about selecting the games you want to play and play them right off the bat. Current gen consoles suck because game companies and developers today are more interested in scooping up extra profits and controlling users through anti-consumer practices. Companies and developers get extremely defensive when a community of users call them out for their anti-consumerism.

There you go, you've solved the problem. The PS5 is just a PS4 Pro 2. There are 50 million players sticking with the PS4 because there's no compelling reason to upgrade. If, upgrade is the right word to use. The current gen is redundant, it brings nothing to the table. I'll wait and see what the 10th generation has to offer. If consoles are still a thing at that point.
I'm still using my PS4 pro KH3 edition that I got in 2019 as I don't see the point in upgrading I do also have a gaming pc which was high end for 2017 but mid range now lol but I there's no reason other than final fantasy 16 that makes me want a ps5 as all the other games I'm interested in are still getting ps4 versions that run very well on the pro model

Sony will die soon once good GPUS become common it is Game Over i got a gaming PC for 557 refurbished and I found a HP omen really cheap I couldn't believe it cheaper than 557 for the price of a chromebook but it was used I took the refurbished + 2 year warranty just to make sure but that pay for online and the handheld pcs will kill them sooner than you think and they're so lazy they get money from PS PLUS and they still can't make a variety of games all they make is remakes and they also took away the discounts with the different tiers if you want good discount you need to sub to the higher tiers but they'll be gone soon they can abuse all they want for now and to all PS PLUS players keep paying that is why sony doesn't respect you I got a PS4 the only reason I still have it is because I bought it at 18 and selling it would be sad but I have a PC where I can do whatever the hell I want and pirate all i want cuz these companies dont deserve a penny

Crash Team Rumble for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4 and PS5. And 5. Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact for PS5, Nintendo Switch and gaming PCs. Street Fighter 6 for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S and gaming PCs sucks because of Capcom ID and QR codes needed to play online on Street Fighter 6 and that doesn't make any sense. Its true, it always aggravates me when games keep getting held back by the previous generation. To make it even worse, even if the games were not held back by the previous gen, some would still be held back by the Series S. We definitely got played. Imo last gen was underwhelming as far as games, so when they dropped the new gens, I i wasnt moved because i didnt expect great games to be made for them.
Graphics have platued for consoles. Even on my gaming laptop/pc that can run higher fidelity and frame rates, i legitimately can't tell a difference. Instead of a Graphics arms race, these consoles should be racing to see who can make the most fun and sometimes innovative new types of games for their platforms.
Despite owning a ps5 since January 2021, I only buy cheap used physical ps4 games. The ps5 games are not even worth being called current gen. They look a bit better and run significantly worse on the ps5 compared to native 1080p ps4 games played in BC mode.
I’ve bought 11 games for my PS5 and don’t own a Series X or S. By the “end” of the PS4 / Xbox One generation in 2019/2020 I’d purchased a little over 100 games between both systems leaning a little more on PS4. These days I play more games on my PC I bought to work from home and they tend to be 5 years old or more.
Triple A gaming this gen is a miss but this ain't the worst gen. Its like everyone forgot about the generation that caused the videogame stock market to crash. My advice is to stop playing triple A games from greedy companies and avoid giving them your money. Right now indie games and AA gaming is where its at. way more creative and unique stuff
It's not even just cross-gen titles, since most current-gen releases are playable on PC. Nearly every Xbox title launches simultaneously on PC, and Sony titles are showing up at an increasing rate. I got a PS5 about 6 months before GoT dropped on PC. Do I regret it? Not really. My PC isn't amazing, so sometimes buying it for PS5 ends up being a better choice. However, I definitely agree with the sentiment that this generation is lackluster.
Think we need to consider the of making a AAA game & the development time is significantly greater than it has ever been. Pushing these consoles to the limit would require a TON of money & time to build a game compared to all the previous generations. we pushed for all these graphical marvels and the cost is likely the end of seeing yearly AAA games coming out as smaller studios just wont risk the funds and time for a AAA game to flop.

The whole point was they are the most powerful console to date, right on the box it says 4k 120 fps yet most games are 1080 upscaled at 60. Or maybe native 4k but 30fps. I havnt gotten a console since PS3. That era was the last great console generation. PS4 literally only had one game i wanted to play and that was Bloodborne, im not buying a console to play one game. PS5 has 0 games.

Overpriced. Delayed availability due to the companies refusal to counter scalpers i.e., we miss 3 years of usability. PS5's price INCREASE when it's 4 years old. Barely any games. Xbox doesn't even feel like Xbox anymore. The UI is generic and lame. Dumb console name too. Really ugly design. Basically too expensive, too little and too late.

you are SO right. it's going all digital eventually anyways.....sad but true. we are at the end of the console (disc) generation as we know it. it's cheaper (for companies to distribute) and they will have full control over access and game licensing (and will not lose revenue over used games being resold). gamestop will eventually phase out. the peak console generation is almost over. just glad i experienced it from beginning to end. we don't know how good we had it, to be honest.
and ALSO, the memory for newer consoles is horrendous. games are using more and more storage and the new consoles just don't give us a lot of storage. memory cards are a thing of the past. does seem like PC (steam) is the way to go. with modding and such, you can get SO much more out of your games. but what do i know, i'm just (an old school) gamer.

I can see how the switch could suck because it has little to no battery life on the go. The PlayStation 5 only Hits 30fps and has and only the video game library from the past... mostly. They only upgraded the GPU and not the CPU on the pro model... The thing doesn't even come with a vertical stand or disc drive... And cost the better part of a 1000$. And don't say some stupid stuff like "NO! It HIT 60 FPS, ZEROH! YA DUMMY!!!" Because then I'll say "yeah for PlayStation 4 titles...dummy..." The Series X however only sucks because it costs so much, but not enough to complain about. I got mine at the pawn shop for about $400 used. Not to mention it comes with a disk drive... Gamepass is far superior to PlayStation Plus, as it has way more games. Now that I said this before the video, I'm going to let this guy say his stuff. Sony rushed the PS5 too early after the pandemic hit they should of held off selling online cause the scalpers made it impossible to buy one and now that they are available in stores and this recession hits doubt the PS5 is going to explode that much in sales because people have to pay bills ETC maybe if GTA6 comes out we'll see if the PS5 gets a crap ton of sales but that game is coming very late 2025 though so keep that in mind.

Me too 😉. Have PS4 and PS4pro and will not buy new hardware for the next 3 or 4 years I think. I don´t think that PS6 Games are going into a playable compatibelity-mode with PS4 Hardware. But I think, that you can play PS4/PS5 games with it (backwards compatible). For the current gen-hardware the price is ridicules high. For games like GTA VI or similar people seems constantly transformed to lemmigs and will buy everything and pay every price to play those games... 🤪?? Overpriced. Delayed availability due to the companies refusal to counter scalpers i.e., we miss 3 years of usability. PS5's price INCREASE when it's 4 years old. Barely any games. Xbox doesn't even feel like Xbox anymore. The UI is generic and lame. Dumb console name too. Really ugly design. Basically too expensive, too little and too late.

you are SO right. it's going all digital eventually anyways.....sad but true. we are at the end of the console (disc) generation as we know it. it's cheaper (for companies to distribute) and they will have full control over access and game licensing (and will not lose revenue over used games being resold). gamestop will eventually phase out. the peak console generation is almost over. just glad i experienced it from beginning to end. we don't know how good we had it, to be honest.
and ALSO, the memory for newer consoles is horrendous. games are using more and more storage and the new consoles just don't give us a lot of storage. memory cards are a thing of the past. does seem like PC (steam) is the way to go. with modding and such, you can get SO much more out of your games. but what do i know, i'm just (an old school) gamer.

The PlayStation 5 only Hits 30fps and has and only the video game library from the past... mostly.

Sony rushed the PS5 too early after the pandemic hit they should of held off selling online cause the scalpers made it impossible to buy one and now that they are available in stores and this recession hits doubt the PS5 is going to explode that much in sales because people have to pay bills ETC maybe if GTA6 comes out we'll see if the PS5 gets a crap ton of sales but that game is coming very late 2025 though so keep that in mind.
I agree I have the Xbox series x and PS5 there is a few good games and remakes that's about it most of the games suck my favorite era was Xbox PS2 and Xbox 360 and PS3

Me too 😉. Have PS4 and PS4pro and will not buy new hardware for the next 3 or 4 years I think. I don´t think that PS6 Games are going into a playable compatibelity-mode with PS4 Hardware. But I think, that you can play PS4/PS5 games with it (backwards compatible). For the current gen-hardware the price is ridicules high. For games like GTA VI or similar people seems constantly transformed to lemmigs and will buy everything and pay every price to play those games... 🤪??
PS6 will be not cheaper but hopefully it will be a real new generation. I don´t give up to hope 😁👍!
