I never grew up with his music. I just found him about a year ago, and then was really sad when I saw he hadn't posted for years. Now I'm so glad he's back! Yep! Like most people, I discovered him when Fireflies was extremely popular. I was 8 years old. 8! I'm now almost 22. I remember listening to his music on youtube on my sisters really old laptop with an internet dongle cause we didn't even have internet in our house back then. I still listen to him even after all this time. Been waiting 4 years for new music and he's finally back! Some of my other favourite artists have released 1 or 2 whole albums since Owl City's last one, it's crazy.

As someone who plays Neural Cloud this was a humongous pleasant surprise that they did this collab.
For most of Adam's songs, I'd say his tone sounds chill or relaxed. In a song like this, where he's singing about going on a big, risky adventure, it gives a sense of confidence in the face of danger.
He returns! It's so good to hear a song from you, Adam! I love all your music so much!

This one is very catchy and hopeful tho but not dreamy unlike her old style. He matured
its true, but also owl city its not the same compared to 2008,thats pre fireflies days, Maybe I´m dreaming was the album released that year and sounds not much like this. Owl city had a very different charm back then.
Because this genre of music hasn’t change much since 2008. Not to say Owl City never changed. He always have. In this generation, we haven’t changed much since the 90s. Compared to generations that lived in the 20th century, each decade was drastically different. Look at fashion in 2011 compared to 2021. Everyone was still wearing skinny jeans and fades.

For The Midsummer Station fans, this will be a banger. Although I miss some of those "All Things Bright and Beautiful", "Ocean Eyes", "Maybe I'm Dreaming" or "Of June" sounds that made Owl City unique. But this is an amazing song. Can't wait for the new album 😭

Honestly there is some, but when you hear a song from "Maybe I'm Dreaming" you hear stuff that kind of diluted throughout the years. Yes, there is some of that original sound but it's not very marked. Still an amazing song
It’s giving Bombshell Blonde with a mix of Umbrella Beach. The vocals are always brilliant, I can definitely hear some of the harmonies from Ocean Eyes
Def gives me Mobile Orchestra vibes, but tbh Owl City has always been unique in its own way in every era, and Adam's side projects as well. Be it Maybe I'm Dreaming, ATBAB or Mobile Orchestra, the sound has always been there.
