Imagine if that movie was made today. I'm pretty sure it would win an academy award and that it would beat the likes of Pixar. Seriously, this is the closest thing we have to a realistic animation.

For a 2010 movie, the animation is beautiful, i think the animators gave their soul to it, imagine if there was a sequel with a better animation... also, Klud survived so, they deserve do a sequel.
The movie has a great plot, however it did not meet cinematic expectations, aka it flattened out the plot. It has enough juice to span out for three movies, which I can probably rewrite the script the script for you, any day.

what hurt the movie was combining 3 books into 1 movie. there was a lot of stuff that got skipped and they changed a few things to make it work. Honestly I love this movie but the books are way more interesting and a lot more darker then you think a novel meant for around middle school aged kids. If you saw this movie I highly recommend giving these books a read even if your an adult.

1. This seriously needs funding for a sequel 2. I remember, after I watched the movie in theaters, finding the books in the library at school in a dusty corner. The teacher said that I could keep them, I wanted to read those books, but I got distracted by Warriors. 10 years later I’ll search for ‘em though. 3. It’s been 10 years. A whole decade and I still cant forget this. I’m glad it was added to Netflix because people might find it easier!
Sadly, they will probably never make another Guardians of Ga'hoole movie. They said they didn't get too much money, but this movie had good music and the motion and graphics -Back then- were all good! Sure, it wasn't like the books, but it was still good. Anyone else agree on them making another Guardians of Ga'hoole?
Yes, but I still think they didn't do a very good job in explaining the books, because they didn't add a lot of the stuff, such as the fact that Egglantine was an adult when she was taken to the Ga'hoole Tree, and Lyze was trapped in the triangle of flecks (I forgot what it was called) alone, and not during a war. Also, Soren didn't know that Ezylryb was actually Lyze until sometime in one of either the second or third books. I think that if they make another Guardians of Ga'hoole, they should make sure they stick closer to the books.
So much respect for this underrated movie. The animation quality is top tier and unmatched to this day in my opinion. This is movie that motivates me to be a better artist.
Oh wow I haven't listened to this song in a year and just ... Wow ... I cannot explain the feeling it gives me! It may sound cheesy to some people but it lifts my heart and I can't keep a smile from my face. I was in love with this song when I was 10 and I'm in love with it now, 5 years later. I read the entire Guardians of Gahool book series in middle and high school, and remember hearing Fireflies by Owl City. Then they combined efforts for a movie on the first three books, and I love both forever!
Saw the movie when young couple years later, found and read every Ga'Hoole book I could The fiery passion I had for reading back then.. even as it sputters today, may it never truly die out

Almost 10 years after Legend of the guardians: The owls of Ga'hoole was released, I still remember it and I still insist it was one of the most beautiful animated movies ever. Completely agree! Also the books! Also Owl City! Also, am I the only one who enjoys both the books and film in their own merit? Like How Train Train Your Dragon, I love both in a different way, the books as an incredible series, the film as a breathtaking masterpiece. It doesn't bother me that the movie didn't follow the book exactly, because of COURSE if you're shortening several books into a couple of hours you'll have to change a lot of things. This film is still one of the most visually breathtaking ever made, especially the lighting, the closeups (textures are phenominal!), and the dramatic colors. Every character, every scene in the film is portrayed amazingly, and I only wish the movie was more popular and fiscally successful.
Whoever still remembers this, thumbs up to you. This is, in my opinion, a forgotten film. It's such a shame because this was great at its time of debut, especially how fucking amazing it looks! Not to mention, the type of world that it could've had if it was really fleshed into it. Oh well, it's only left in one single thing, something just left behind. :(

2. I remember, after I watched the movie in theaters, finding the books in the library at school in a dusty corner. The teacher said that I could keep them, I wanted to read those books, but I got distracted by Warriors. 10 years later I’ll search for ‘em though.

Sadly, they will probably never make another Guardians of Ga'hoole movie. They said they didn't get too much money, but this movie had good music and the motion and graphics -Back then- were all good! Sure, it wasn't like the books, but it was still good.

Yes, but I still think they didn't do a very good job in explaining the books, because they didn't add a lot of the stuff, such as the fact that Egglantine was an adult when she was taken to the Ga'hoole Tree, and Lyze was trapped in the triangle of flecks (I forgot what it was called) alone, and not during a war. Also, Soren didn't know that Ezylryb was actually Lyze until sometime in one of either the second or third books. I think that if they make another Guardians of Ga'hoole, they should make sure they stick closer to the books.
I read the books when I was 11. I know very well they aren't nine and down or for younger children.

Almost 10 years after Legend of the guardians: The owls of Ga'hoole was released, I still remember it and I still insist it was one of the most beautiful animated movies ever.
Yeah, it has many differences with the book, but nobody can deny that the animation is amazing, plus the soundtrack was great.

Also, am I the only one who enjoys both the books and film in their own merit? Like How Train Train Your Dragon, I love both in a different way, the books as an incredible series, the film as a breathtaking masterpiece. It doesn't bother me that the movie didn't follow the book exactly, because of COURSE if you're shortening several books into a couple of hours you'll have to change a lot of things. This film is still one of the most visually breathtaking ever made, especially the lighting, the closeups (textures are phenominal!), and the dramatic colors. Every character, every scene in the film is portrayed amazingly, and I only wish the movie was more popular and fiscally successful.

Whoever still remembers this, thumbs up to you. This is, in my opinion, a forgotten film. It's such a shame because this was great at its time of debut, especially how fucking amazing it looks! Not to mention, the type of world that it could've had if it was really fleshed into it.
Oh well, it's only left in one single thing, something just left behind. :(

I remember being so excited that they got Adam to write a song for a movie soundtrack for the first time. I still get as giddy and happy as the day I first heard this song when it was released over a decade ago. Thanks, Adam! I wouldn't be half the man I am today if it wasn't for your music and quirky blog posts!
