You could totally do one of these with Elton John music
Can you try "Listening to David Guetta and Justin Timberlake be like" please?
And unbelievable you forgot to mention
Owl City was my intro to techno bubblepop.
Owl City is unique in its positive sounding music. And to this day his 1st album is my favorite
where is To the Sky on this list? 😢
Man fireflies hits harder as an adult.
Oh shoot I'm an adult now.
Nostalgic experience
I forgot I'm also an adult now 😭
For real. I listened to it for the first time back in 2019, and then after quarantine I was suddenly launched into adulthood and I started listening to it again.
I wanted to cry so bad when I heard it again, the crushing reality that my most influential teen years were spent feeling like a prisoner in my own home in the worst state of mental health ever still hits hard.
I still can’t believe 2019 was five years ago, time really does move quickly. 😭
@AbnormallyOnline honestly mine is a near opposite effect. I had a great childhood and a loving family. The nostalgia is for a simpler time when I had the ability to pursue each little fancy with all of the wonder of a child. That's what this song represents for me. Childish wonder. But the song hits so hard because I only have that when I'm asleep now. I love my adulthood, but childhood was a different, but equally good, thing. Right in my feels.
I'm glad owl city hasn't been forgotten.
I actually genuinely agree with you.
Me too
Bro I remember listening to them all the time back in 2011 and 2012. It was practically the soundtrack to my life in high school.
@@fist-of-doom487 l actually genuinely cannot express how relatable this single comment actually is
And it will never be, ameen
Bro the Fireflies one is so accurate. I saw it live and I nearly lost it...
For me it was Tokyo :D
I found this song through Brian Gaynor and SYTYCD
Frrr
bro so luckyyyy
When I listen to that song I just think of "Legends of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'hoole". The first time I heard that song was in the movie.
Im so glad the algorithm brought me here
Same
Same
So do I !
Same
Oddly, probably Hazbin Hotel brought me here. Similar vids about those songs bave been made
Most of Owl City's songs are total electronic bangers, but his songs prior to his album release "Maybe I'm Dreaming" are the best.
I love his Sky Sailing projec, the Goodnight Brielle song especially!
@@cheesecakelasagnaI LOVE Brielle too!!
You mean everything up to and including MID
I feel like and boring old man, but I got into owl city for real pretty recently and I almost exclusively listen to his first 4 albums. The dreamy lyrics really hit the spot. Sky sailing is also wonderful. The rest is decent, and I can appreciate it, but it's lost a bit of magic somehow
@@maxsmith8196 now imagine watching it happen in real time lol. It's unfortunate. Fav musician ever but those first projects are where it's at. He also did some stuff under the name Port Blue. Instrumental projects but the same soul. You can recognize him in the writing.
(He also made 12 full Scores that you can find under Adam Young.) 😁 Tons of stuff under a bunch of different names.
Its criminal how this guy never got the recognition or spotlight he deserved
He's doing what he loves and his fanbase still loves him. He's an artist, not a hitmaker.
@@WaxingName facts
@@WaxingName he’s on tour right now and I went to a show last October. Yeah his fans still love him! Show was epic! Dude living his best life
He booming to fast 😅
I saw a show last September. It was one of the best birthday experiences I have ever had in my life.
Dear uploader,
This video was scary because of its accuracy
This video was hilarious because of its clips
This video is perfect because its Owl City
Please make more-
Same!!! I was like this is EXACTLY how I feel when listening to each song haha❤❤❤
The more I listen to this video , the more angry and disappointed that the DreamWorks movie, Me and my Shadow got scrapped. Owl City was going to be the lead composer for it if I'm not wrong, and we missed out of listening to more bangers of his there.
@@SecretMagician
It's very upsetting.
His career could very well have gone in a different direction, y'know? Alan Silvestre sort of passed the torch to Adam through the Croods soundtrack in Shine Your Way.
If Me and My Shadow would've released, Adam would have been launched with a soundtrack/orchestra portfolio, possibly dissuading future "typical" albums, and making him into something of a Danny Elfman (artist turned film composer) for his main career. Probably releasing his usual stuff as a side.
He would've been a good choice for a Big Hero 6 project
The funniest thing about Owl City for me was growing up listening to it without really thinking about the lyrics and slowly realizing as I’ve gotten older “wow these songs are a lot more… Christian than I realized.” 😂 nothing wrong with that I was just surprised!
the only christian music worth listening to tbh
@Ethosian._. Eh tbf there are actually a few christian artists who make absolute bangers. Britt Nicole also makes amazing music that you cant tell is faith based initially.
@@Ethosian._. if you like Owl City, then you definitely have an ear for good music. Perhaps you're not a Christian so are not too familiar with Christian music, but some of the best music available on the planet is Christian music, and that would remain true even if you limited it to only songs from the 70s-90s. As a music fan, I'll say you're missing out on a lot by assuming it's not good
@@Ethosian._.I highly recommend The Oh Hellos. Great band/duo with lyrics loosely connected to Christianity.
@@Dorlas_ I was JUST thinking of mentioning the Oh Hellos till I saw your comment. It was meant to be !
Bro I haven't listened to owl City in sooo long, but this was such an important part of my life like five years ago.
Edit: this is my most liked and most interacted comment of all time. Not sure what I did to deserve it but y'all are amazing and the sheer positivity has made multiple days better, y'all are the best.
Well you should check him out :3 he has some new songs out that I'm sure you'd love
@@PuppyHugs I'll probably do that
@@NatetheSensitivePlantplease listen to Car Trouble for heaven's sake 😭
@@Sr1njan I haven't heard that one, but I will ;3
have you listened to car trouble yet? i was the same, hadn't listened to his stuff in a while, spotify was like "hey remember that one dude he has a new song" i listened to it and now it's one of my favourite songs-
The accuracy is insane
You know it’s made by a fan when they include songs like Clap Your Hands
Edit: no Paper Tigers or Beautiful Mystery tho
Those songs remain some of my favorites, wish they would get album releases
Yeah I went looking for clap your hands on spotify, but couldn’t find it
Live it Up
no love for Vanilla Twilight man. that song puts me in the vibes man.🥲
It’s from everybody’s golf!❤❤
As a big Owl City fan, going to his live concerts, and owning his albums.. seeing this is quite accurate. And I'm here for it.
I am not super into newer Owl City but man, All Things Bright and Beautiful, Ocean Eyes and Midsummer Station were awesome albums.
It's like Coldplay. Newer stuff isn't that amazing, except Kaleidoscope was pretty good, but if you want that proper Coldplay vibe, you gotta listen to the old stuff.
Coco Moon is a masterpiece lmao
those are my favourites :)
Such a golden era
Feel like coco moon is like dairy of someone. If i listen to all the lyrics, it tells a lot of stories and I love it!
I got chills omg owl city was such a huge part of my high school career. the music is part of why I look back on those years so fondly! My freshman year art teacher in 2009 played rainbow veins in class once and I’ve been in love ever since
Same here
what's so sad is how perfectly accurate each and every one of these is
Owl City definitely deserves more attention than he’s had.
No Vanilla Twilight?!
Was waiting to no avail but the list was still good 😊
a crime 😭 we were robbed
yap...that melody hit hard
0:29
I jusy realized that was a different song 🥲
@matchadt I don't think that's Vanilla Twilight
wait, Owl City has more songs than just 'Fireflies'?
and they are bangers aswell?!
damn, thanks TH-cam algorithm for bringin me here
and thank you Remy, for making this video,
have a nice day
The entire ocean eyes album is bangers no skipable songs.
You my friend are in for a time.
You lucky son of a gun!
Never gonna forget going to his concert around October last year here in CA!
LUCKYYY
He actually released a new album (Coco moon) and a few days ago he dropped the absolute banger that is Boston (it's a cover)
And today, he released a single called Car Trouble, which was based on a demo called Floppy Fish that he put out one decade ago.
Coco moon is trash. ATBAB
I LOVE COCO MOON SO MUCH I haven't even listened to him that much before Oct 2023, but I randomly decided to listen to the album with Fireflies in it all the way through, at like 4am, really liked it, then went to his newest album (Coco Moon) and was in LOVE, it literally gave me like a semi new perspective on life lmfao it was so nice
I also listened to Coco Moon since I was getting into, now I`m think I should look at the one album with Good Time in it@@bambampewpew32
@@bambampewpew32 same!
Always enjoy finding a fellow owl city enjoyer
To the Sky and Fireflies will always be my childhood. I remember happily signing along in the car when they played on the radio. Brings back memories.
Yeahhh To The Sky’s a great one, my fav of his. Am I right in suspecting you heard it from a certain movie?
@@JimBobJoeB0b Yep. That Owl movie slapped so hard. And it still looks beautiful.
Finally, Kamikaze getting some respect.
It makes me sad there's not many people that have Saltwater Room from the Maybe I'm Dreaming album among their favorites, it's my all time favorite and I always cry and/or laugh listening to it. It's so beautiful and the voice of the girl fits his so well.
Then there's also Alligator Sky with Shawn Chrytopher and they are both great on that one.
Yesss I LOVE saltwater room it’s a gem
Also my favourite, and the ocean eyes version is amazing in its own way too
that’s one of my favs ^^
its my favourite
Love Saltwater room and alligator sky
Listening to owl city songs takes me far far away from reality and somewhere beautiful and breathtaking
My brother introduced me to Owl City before i even speak English. Best bro ever.
It was a fun and playful 2010.. so much joy back then
Al the songs of owl city are masters pieces
Yup this is literally me whenever I listen to owl city especially in when can I see you again
Glad to see the Owl City community is still going strong.
First fell in love with his music when I was around 9 years old. Turning 26 soon and was literally just listening to An Airplane Carried Me To Bed. His music never gets old!!
*OWL CITY IS REALLY SCREAM 2000s yet it was still timeless classic*
Dude dropped some bangers then he fell from the face of the earth💀
he is back you know, with coco moon?
@Wreneye1 I actually hadn't known that! Good to see that he's still around lol
@@Wreneye1for real? Hell yeah!
He also released Boston two weeks ago 😍
@@laraschepp9840Gonna be blasting Car Trouble when I learn how to drive! 👌🏻
Owl city just makes aesthetically nostalgic music
Man you captured the vibes SO perfectly, it’s genuinely insane
I actually genuinely agree with you

Real af
Oh yes very good one😂
Seeing Speed of Love and Kamikaze be mentioned fills my heart with glee. Such underrated tracks
He di unfortunately forget to add Shooting Star and the Oreo Wonderfilled songs
I still listen to Owl City, and sometimes I feel like he's a little underrated, being someone with so many songs that sound magical and beautiful. The good vibes in many of them and the nostalgia that comes from it, seeing that there are still people who appreciate it is incredible.
This is an absolute masterpiece
I would love a part 2 of this, there are so many great Owl City Songs with many different vibes!
Why this hits so hard lmaooo 🤣🤣🤣
Don't forget him randomly busting out some screaming chops in Tornado.
I didn't know what to expect when I clicked on this but it was PERFECT please do a part 2
Thank you so much for making this. Idk why it got me so emotional, maybe it’s because I haven’t met any other owl city fans that know songs other than Fireflies and Owl City. And it’s so well done and accurate too. Thanks again so much for making this, you are so talented 😊
Grew up listening to Owl City and I'll never get tired of it
Damn owl City was my thing during my teenage years. I used to listen to them all the time. When did I completely forgot about them? Thanks for reminding me
I love that I understand exactly why Kamikaze was so fitting for Elden ring to be shown as the background footage
this video sat taunting me all day in my feed and boy oh boy am I so happy I finally clicked
thank you for this
Good to see everybody getting into an Owl City phase
I cannot get over how well you visually represent what a song feels like it’s crazy
as someone who grew up listening to owl city to the point that almost 9 years later my Spotify STILL shows him as my top played artist of all time, this video HITS
This would be a phenomenal soundtrack to someone's early 20s.
Love the inclusion of Clap Your Hands
I'm happy this man and his songs exist. They feel like it would be good for a Voltron legendary defender x Airbender Korra Earthbender type of sci fi fantasy game.
I don't have the words to describe my feelings right now.
Owl city was a big part of my teenage years, and I literally listened to almost every song from this video AND THE IMAGE IN MY HEAD WAS EXACTLY THIS!! Also I created two characters because of the songs I'm Coming After You and Tokyo, so I imagined their adventures every time while listening. BUT I'm also really happy you put Yakuza for Tokyo!! I'm a big fan of Yakuza series, and it was like a gift.
Man, just remembering and realising how much Owl City actually impacted my life makes me tear up.
Thank you for reminding me of important things and thank you for this beautiful video, author. I hope you have a great day and a great life in general, best of luck to you.
Glad to read a comment like this and see there's other Owl City fans around the world, and see that the kind of feelings that these songs can procure are universal. Have a good day too!
I don’t have words to express how much I love these videos
If perfection is unattainable then wtf did I just watch? Seriously, how did your mind come up with this brilliance?
I'm sacred how accurate this is. 😂
You should check out his new music from his album Coco Moon!
Its such a bop!
Every single Owl city song fires me up for the summer. Their vibe is *UNMATCHED*
Ocean eyes is a legendary album, all bangers
The accuracy of this video! 🤣👏✨ and it's always nice to see owl city enjoyers
I have to admit that I only knew fireflies and good times before. But now I want to listen to all of them thanks to this video
I'm glad to see some Owl City appreciation in 2024, he was a huge part of my life in middle school and I am happy to see Kamikaze get recognition because it was always my favorite but was never talked about.
I just went to their concert last night. What an outstanding performer!!
vanilla twilight shouldnt have been missed
2012 me would be so happy to hear that this fanbase is still alive in 2024
Love this.
Owl City is one of the few artists you can enjoy everysingle song they make.
This video just popped up on the top of my feed and I’m SO glad it did~
i love his work both as owl city and sky sailing, its so catchy😭😭
1:26 smooth af transition
Man I’m so happy I found this video I’m not even disappointed I just love this video so accurate and on the point
Thanks algorithm and thank video uploader for uploading this list of songs with almost on point accuracies.
It is criminal that Adam never got the public recognition he deserved
What about Vanilla twilight?

It’s incredible how accurate this is.
Hope there’ll be a part 2!
Thank you so much for making this! Loved Owl City for years now and you caught the feeld perfectly.
listening to them makes me wonder why music isn’t this wholesome anymore 😢
Owl city is one of the few artists who does not follow fashion, he makes his music for his people to enjoy and that is what I love about him.
@@AstralNRGear so true, the world would be in a better place if we had more artists like him, that had popularity.
Oh my GOD i needed this
Please Owl City fandom I need yall to come out of hiding PLS. SHOW YOURSELVES
Hello. Owl City fan here and out of hiding.
Owl city was my favorite childhood artist, as a kid I remember frantically trying to find out who sang fireflies and once I found out who it was I downloaded the song onto my Nintendo dsi. His new songs today are good too, but his older ones, hold a special place in my heart
Owl city will never be corny to me, too many childhood memories listening to these bangers

That's pretty smart choice of clip, since there is a Bryan Cranston meme with same title 😂😂😂
... 1:38 I've recently just watch that movie i'm sad now...
What movie is it
@@AmericaIsACountry Interstellar 2014
I loved owl city ever since firefilres when it relaesed when i was 5 banger and i still bop to all their albums even in my early 20s >:3
This is so dead on! Man, I wish you included "The Real World" though. Boy "This isn't the End" still makes me want to cry!
Where is VANILLA TWILIGHT???!!!!!!
Good Time is a massive banger. Easily the best and most iconic song from the 2010s
Too accurate. Good job uploader 👍
dude. every single one is spot on!!! you knocked it out of the park
Oh my gosh I know the Sonic game at 2:11 😮
ugghhh the memoriessssss
makes me want to revisit him and look at his discography :D
Such a beautiful video, thank you!
Okay but I have to say: I'm Coming After You is probably one of my favorite Owl City songs. It's weird and it's campy but it's also really well mixed and produced. Like something about the way it sounds just scratches an itch on a specific part of my brain that a lot of other songs just don't. I just find it really nice to listen too. Idk, probably just an autism thing. 🤷
where the FUCK is vanilla twilight???
Lets go PART 2!!!!!!!!!
The accuracy is amazing 😂😂❤ Subbed
This is the most accurate video I've ever seen.
This made my day reminding myself about one of the most catchy and eternal songs and songwriters
i love it. This Content shows how creative the people on YT are!
I agree with everyone that the accuracy on this is 100% spot on. Great job!
I remember being a little kid going through tough times, and many of these songs were the pieces of joy that kept me going. Thanks for the nostalgia, friend! 😊
you really cooked with Strawberry Avalanche that's staying in my brain
