    it's 2020, I found one at the thrift store for 30 dollars
    I brought it home in case I could fix it (I'm car savvy)
    THE VOLTAGE WAS SET TO 220 INSTEAD OF 115
    switched it and it WORKS, excited af

    Have had my Robo 3d R1 Plus for about 3 years now... I've had no issues with setting it up and printing a crazy amount of odd and cool things. I am still printing with it today. Most of my prints are big enough to last 5-14hr... It is now starting to break down, but the support staff at ROBO 3D have been too awesome. I will for sure purchase another Robo 3D printer because it works great, but mostly based on the support that I have gotten in the last few months. The technician not only cured my problem, but also saved me on the shipping cost some how. Also pointed me to how to prevent future issues I might run into.
    There are probably people out there who have horrible stories about this printer. I for one have not had any issues, other than it finally breaking down after years of abuse from a new 3d printer owner. I am for sure going to purchase another R1 Plus if it is still around when I have the money, or the new R2 because I love the large print bed.
    Thank you Robo3D(Jason mainly) This printer is greatly appreciated by me for sure.

    the printer in this video has option for 230 and 115v, mine has 220v and 110v. Is mine an older version or something?

    I am on my 2nd R1+ printer in three weeks. The first got such a nozzle clog I took it back to Best Buy, The second one got a bad clog five days ago and was able to get that out just yesterday. Now it will not level and it either stops after a couple of layers, does the top layers of the calibration cube, or prints 2 inches in the air. I would love to post good things about it but I can't

      +John Allen I had those beginner problems as well. its not the printer. its you. I don't blame you though. I was a beginner at one point as well. the R1 I have is just awesome. its printing as I type this. ive printed COUNTLESS things so far. quality is not like the real expensive ones. BUT its pretty great quality nonetheless.

    For FRENCH... J'ai acheter cette imprimante 3D et cela fonctionne très bien. Le seul défaut c'est qu'elle imprime du PLA ABS mais pas du "Flexible" je vais sans doute changer l'extruder pour un autre qui feras aussi du "FLEX".

    Can anyone tell me what fuse rating is the Robo3d Plus running on with? I just blown my fuse & now the printer is useless here sitting besides me. It is jus one thing after another ever since I took this thing out of its box.

      May I ask do you have a robo 3d r1 Plus ?
      if so how do you like it ?

    • @sofiadragon1979
      @sofiadragon1979 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I like it save for the serious learning curve of how to get it to print without faults, but once you get that part out of the way it's a great machine. I just had a fault in my wiring and now I need to get a new heated bed but so far that's the only major issue that I've had.

      JR Lenard do you have the original R1 or the new R1 Plus ?

    • @sofiadragon1979
      @sofiadragon1979 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The R1, the only difference between the R1 and the plus is just a few minor things but it is basically the same machine.

    FYI--Just received my new Robo R1 Plus it NO LONGER COMES WITH THE USB THUMB DRIVE
    ADAPTER this may not be a problem for some but my computer has no slots
    and i cant use my printer like this as the printer is not near my
    computer so now i have to run out and buy a adapter also screwdriver has
    been changed to a stubby version. My printer arrived very well packed
    and was shipped very quickly

    +ROBO 3D I bought a Robo 3d r1 and got it all setup. I used a copper PLA filament for the first time. I set the correct temperature for the extruder at 210°C and Bed at 55°C. when it started heating up I saw smoke coming from the nozzle. Is that normal?

    • @ericfranck4131
      @ericfranck4131 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe so because they used test PLA filament the test to make sure the critter works and since you were using the Copper based Filament it probably just melted the PLA too fast and it turned to smoke

    Hello ROBO 3D,
    Just received my printer last night & after unboxing it, I found some of its parts is not in place. I wonder if you can help me sort this out.
    I posted the issue on the ROBO 3D forum & here is the link :

      Hey I just purchased the R1+ and I got confirmation but the standard shipping never said around how long it would take to ship and delivery. I check for an email every day and still don't get one back. I called but it said it was unavailable after a couple tries and I also emailed The Robbie robot that directed my message to a support member but they never got back to me.

    Whatever you do, DON'T BUY A ROBO!
    Biggest waste of cash and money.
    Seriously, do your research before you buy this plastic piece of shit.

    I paid pre-assembled. The printer should just work out of the box but it wasn't. ROBO 3D, do you test your product before shipping to your customer? I bought it a few years ago but I didn't test it until today. When I open the box, a two inch screw was dangling and scratching the glass plate. Nothing works. Very frustrating with this piece of GARBAGE FROM ROBO 3D. I had never have so much frustration with a product ever. This ROBO 3D printer is PIECE OF SHIT. If you want to change my mind about ROBOT 3D, send me a working replacement unit.

      Memet, we test out printers at the factory and then ship directly from the warehouse. If you have an issue with your printer upon delivery, your warranty is in effect and we can replace/fix any issue you may be having. Please reach out to Help@Robo3D.com.

      First of all, my frustration is directed toward the product and is not directed toward any particular individual. The printer cost $914 USD (shipping included) so it is not a low cost product. NOT ONCE does the printer print anything. Right after each failed attempt, I needed to clear the clogged hot end and removed the backed up filament and the printer still won't print. Forget about the hot bed was scratched up and chipped. Forget about waited five weeks for delivery. I just want it to print something. Endless frustration.
