If I remember correctly, Herc can solo all of part 1, all of part 1.5 apart from Abby and most of LB1. If you happen to get Herc, keep him in your party forever until he is Bond 10. As soon as you get his Bond 10 craft essence, slap it on him and never take it off. He's one of the very very few servants who actually want their Bond CE equipped.
Watching this made me realize that in my years playing, I've wound up with a copy of every one of the guaranteed 4* first pull servants, except Liz. And spot on with maxing Mash. She was my first 10/10/10, and I've never regretted it.
I find it amusing how nearly all of ur suggestions were none of what I did during my start of FGO during its launch and having absolutely zero clue how anything worked. I just had the luck of rolling Zerk Lancelot at the start and just bodying anything that got in the way. Anything other than that was helped with friend supports and my brute desire to use Jing Ke and Mata Hari on everything no matter what simply because I was picky. Those were the days.
lol same i got castoria as my first ssr and she was hammering every singularity alongside a dps friend support servant of course. I had lucked out getting castoria as my first roll and summer kiara as my second definitely helped too
Usually, the free units given to you in Gacha games are vastly inferior compared to what you can roll. Not Mash. At her weakest is a 4* servant masquerading as a 3*. Before Lostbelts, the only servant that can do what she does better than her is Zhuge Liang. She can carry you at least all the way past the end of Part 1(except for some Camelot bosses.). Level her skills to 10 and your chraracters won't even die to AoE NPs for the most part.
I just started JP recently and Lakshmibai has been a fantastic starter unit. Her survivability and utility are insane. I started with her and Emiya and she has been way more useful for me so far.
I remember my first 4-Star. It was D'Eon. He/She was my only Saber for the first 3 or 4 Singularities. I remember having to bring her for EVERY Lancer fight, even though her cost physically hurt me during my early levels.
i remember that stheno was my first 4 star, i was new and i thought that intant death was a good mechanic, then i lost fairly early (like last chapters of france) the account and got siegfried and everything went well from there
When my mate started FGO he got both Liz and Carmilla from the starting roll, and he sure did use Carmilla like a hammer to smash his way through a lot of the early game.
My first 4 stars were Heracles and Nursery Rhyme (i got them on the same roll, first try) i dropped nursery after a while but Heracles man... he carried me before i got any 5 stars, hell he even carried me after i got 5 stars because my first 5 star was nightingale and nightingales not that good gameplay wise i basically became illya
The best advice for the FGO new players is to play *your game* Everything you see and read in the www. Are legit advice but at the end of the day; your the one who's in control of your game account
Herc. Reroll your 10 pull with the guaranteed 4 star servant from the beginning till you get Herc. Then pour everything into him until he's level 80, never take him out of your party, and get him to bond 10.
Basically your favourite servant your favourite waifu and your mostly used servant The rest is for challenge quest only Like billy, chloe, jalter berserk
We are almost the same. Morgan + Tama caster with a friend support Castoria for buffs got me through almost the entire game through lb4. Except solomon temple was carried by Oz.
Alternatively you can level your cheng gong and just constantly use a Mash/Junao/Gong comp. Though you will eventually need dps's of your own, a support dps can get you up to solomon pretty easily.
My problem with Mash is that for late content you are costume locked. She has so many costumes, and you aren't allowed to use them :p (also, I think that Ortinax isn't nearly as good as OG Mash.)
No mentioned in this. Saber's NP doesn't start off as broken, at some point you upgrade his Noble Phantasm so that he can buff his attack five times before his NP goes off, dependent on your health. But at 50-60% health, he will pretty much always get all five. This sort of stuff is important to know as a new player. This is as good as you'll find for generic NPs as most other's will be good at this level only in specific criteria.
Most of my playtime in FGO I was just enjoying the story and have no problems with singularities and Goetia whatsoever. However when I finally reached the pseudo-singularities things start to get rough. I completed Shinjuku although I had a problems with Avenger and Moriarty+Demon God. In Agartha the biggest problem was Sceherazade and yet I still didn't have that much trouble. And when I finally get to Shimousa... I finaly found out about my skill issues. I didn't have a team based on crut atk and survavibility, the problem that was biting my ass to the end of singularity. And I still didn't complete Shimousa stopping at the Caster of Limbo. After that I started to value of 1-3star servants and leveled up my Ushiwakamaru to lvl90.
I got Hercules as my first 4 star. I was planning to reroll for him, not because he the meta, I just like him more than all the others that you could get from the guaranteed.
I got Herc (and Liz) in my starting roll. Got him to bond 10 just before the Arc 1 boss fights-- good thing too idk how I would've survived! Also Ushi is incredible I have her grailed at 90.
I agree with most of the list, even the rider choice since it's a list on who to level first and lv1 George is already the best free rider. However I really can't understand the choice for assassin. Hundreds faces is okay and work really well with Castoria. But she is still less useful than Fuma or Regend with his almost fully buffed kit. Especially now when we're still in the Skadi meta.
Hundred Faces is someone you'll use a lot for Assassins in CQs and Boss Fights. Fuuma is a support and is a debuffer. Regend is great but doesn't need Skadi. Using Hundred Faces + Tamamo/Cas Gil from FL is better than Regend with Skadi, arguably Waver.
@@xenvj Sure she is useful for difficult fight but so is Regend and even if she performed slightly better than him, right now finding a skadi is vastly easier and even after Castoria, Regend will work way better with the free Waver everyone will have gotten. Plus Hundred faces really needs her skill level up to be useful something which won't be that easy for new player especially when she needs almost 50 bones per skill. But IMO the best choice for new player really is Fuma, a star gen support who can protect allies and block enemies buff is useful in some much more situation than just Rider nodes, plus his skills are already really useful at lv1.
The main issue is that almost all of the early game assassins are resource sinks. IMO there are no good early budget assassins, only good early free assassins.
When I started I stheno but she imeadtly got trashed because I just pull jack the ripper a week latter, and that is one of the best assassins besides gramps
Let's see, I started in August, my early game servants were: Saber: Fergus Archer: Atalante (4* from the beginner selection) Lancer: Scathach (5* lucky pull on the banner at the time) Rider: Ushi Assassin: 100 Abs Caster: Cu Caster Berserker: Didn't really use this class All worked well enough and got me to mid-Camelot til I switched to my friends Lvl 90 Herc with Chen Gong and Georgie. In retrospect I wasn't a big fan of Fergus and didn't really know how to use Atalante well.
@@klidge Makes sense I guess. I got Chevalier in my starting summon back when I started playing September last year and I rapidly decided they weren't the most useful unit outside of their evade. I picked up saber alter from the guaranteed 4* ticket a few months later and haven't felt the need to use Chevalier since then.
Got Liz and decided not to reroll, I just made her my AoE lancer for a bit. I also got REALLY lucky and got a Gilgamesh, a Kscope and a NP2 Enkidu early on during or close after Gilfest, pretty much deciding my archer and lancer. Got unlucky with Caesar so I made use of Jason of all things, then Bedivere. Hans and the Gong made my caster roster. I chose Regend as my assassin since I didn't know how good Hundred was, at least Skady made it up somewhat after I spend all on her last banner. And Spartacus was my main AoE farmer for quite a while, supplemented with Darius since I got NP5 pretty fast. Mash was 10/10/10 at the earliest I could manage, through I try not to use her unless a difficult fight was on the horizon just to maximize bond or I needed her to hold a craft essence during an event. I know it's an old video but I couldn't help but reminisce.
My first 4* was, unfortunately, Marie. It took me a long time to gather the materials to acsend her, in a point that I just took Ryouma from the even maxed out for how slow it was to get her materials, and at the endgame I just had a bunch of way better Rider servants so getting har as my first 4* was nothing more than an annoyance.
It truly is a shame that I got Iskander and COMPLETELY forgot I had Marie, because I thought I didn't need her. She's catching back up, but she's still great.
Sadly, my first 4 star was D'Eon. After Orleans I never used him. I do have all the current starter roll 4 stars at this point, the last one I got being Emiya.
Salieri also isn't exactly a superb servant. He's only a great option cause there's literally no other 3* or lower Avenger and if you do happen to fight a ruler, just bring a zerker.
Coming back to this after getting to the lostbelts I rerolled for Emiya even trashing a Herc Liz roll acc for a single Emiya he's strong and all he basically carried my non meta Team to every events and story quest but if you can't have him at np2 or higher he'll fall down in Events and the reason why I manage to not roll for so long is my Godsend Castoria(from the last ticket from beginners campaign) and that Random Enkidu I got when doing a random roll in story banner but don't get discouraged he's still one of my strongest unit only being under my np5 Muramasa and being a little higher than np2 space Ishtar(castoria's my strongest unit) my go to strategy is still Castoria Emiya Mash but will use Muramasa against Lancer nodes cause I've suffered enough using Emiya in those nodes
I just started and Im only leveling up servants that are from the anime... Shame I didnt get Emiya, but I wont reroll cause its my number one rule; not to reroll in any kind of gacha.
been playin for abit got supper lucky on my rolls so never got to play with to many 3 stars or lower so I enjoyed learning some cool 3 stars i might level for fun.
I still love Madricardo over Ushi since I have Castoria/Para on NA for arts buffing. So double Castoria + Madricardo HITS INSANE DAMAGE. Since I don't have a Skadi caster on NA :(
I have a question: story mode let's play of FGO is 100+ hours long. Is it true that to get through Lostbelt 1 to 7 (or wherever the game is rn) you need 100+ hours, not counting farming?
ok im brand new, have a lot of servants u mentioned, like the caster Hans, the rider ushi, both Parvati and Cu, and form casters I also have Hohenheim. After watching this video im just a little confused and unsure who should I actually level up. I got lucky and pulled Herc, Im using him all the time but besides him i have not raised any of the 1-3 servants because my plan was to pull for Muramasa, hope to get Castoria when her banner comes up and i would be set. Idk if its actually a good plan. Sorry for the essay. I would appreciate any suggestions or thought from more experienced players. Thanks
Ah, but who is the best wifu to max bond out first…. My vote is Herc.
Pretty sure someone went and solo'd abby with herc just to spite class advantages
Can confirm.
(I made a second account and used my 1st account's Herc to solo everything)
Watching this made me realize that in my years playing, I've wound up with a copy of every one of the guaranteed 4* first pull servants, except Liz.
And spot on with maxing Mash. She was my first 10/10/10, and I've never regretted it.

i basically became illya
I am nearly at lostbelt 5, the only single target 5 star i have is Orion. I AM ILLYA.
I got np2 "Basaka" on the starter roll and I have never once taken him off my team comp
I'm in Camelot right now
Cu literally cannot die if you set him up right despite what they told us in CP
I got lucky and got Tristan very early on so I just skipped out on David. Levelling him up now cause double harp of healing is pretty clutch.
Caesar must be big but he can easily fit in every team. what a guy
My first 4 star was stheno and she went straight to the fire pit
Lmao, same exact story for me xD
I was lucky and got Herc on my first roll. I had no idea they had changed some of the roster! Stinks that Stheno is still there, blah.
13:40 On it. Close to 2000-ing her and focusing all the fou paws on her as well.

berserker, as long as they're a berserker. also arts servants, yeah just that.
