- Today's entry in the Explained Series talks about mystic codes! In this I go over the order to prioritize them in, which ones to get from the RP shop first, and what their strengths and abilities are. Hopefully this helps you guys understand how strong mystic codes can be in the right circumstances!

I fully expect this video to date itself the second a new mystic code is released, but I realized no one really goes over them with you guys! As such I felt the need to produce a resource that will help you guys understand the way they work and give you some logic for how to approach acquiring and leveling them! The "Arctic Plugsuit" may be redundant compared to the original, but I'm sure there are many players like me who maxed the original a long time ago and have been trying to avoid needing it in comps so we can level other MCs (give the exp to others), especially the first Arctic, so we're not wasting any exp. The new plugsuit is a blessing in that it gives us the freedom to use plugsuit-requiring comps without needing to worry about wasted exp, and the high exp ceiling on it means we'll be able to freely use it for a long while. I seriously can't wait until NA gets it. >_< Until then, I'll continue trying to stick to sacrifice-type comps for team rotation.
That’s exactly what I’m doing, but the down side is that my Arash is max bond and on his way to bond 11 already, Gong is almost max..
For a long time when I was starting out, I stuck with Mages exclusively just because it's my favorite visually. The long black coat is cool and I love the wink + smirk. It's hard to justify its usage now that I have strong supports I can plugsuit in but I still have a soft spot for it.
Man, Gudako has some of the best versions of these Mystic Codes, my favorites being Captain Chaldea and Decisive Battle

I weezed all the way through grand order using Ozymandias +Jalter + (friend) Jalter buster/attack up and now I'm feeling the pain of trying to learn all I missed because of the absolute pain of the pseudo-singularities and Lostbelts these videos are a god send thank you for all the information I really needed it 🤣
Plug Suit's Gandr is a good defensive option for bosses as well.
Another good unit that can go well with the Hogwarts mystic code would be Summer BB and her card lockdown skill. The Atlas uniform would go well with Tamamo no Mae or Maid Alter who both have the ability to reduce cooldowns by one turn, meaning under the right circumstances you could get your skills back as much as three turns early.
Eagerly awaiting the new JP mystic codes all my current NA mystic codes are already maxed out.
The Mage Association code codename should be, staying alive. Because it sure help me when it came to restrictive battles where you can only have one or two unit, that and the Atlas Academy one if your feeling lucky!

I dont have the best supports yet despite playing for a couple years everyday now (my best is probably osakabehime & nero caster besides servants with strong charismas like napoleon & lakshimi bai) so I've used the lostbelt mystic code all the time. About to be at level 10 finally for that sweet sweet 60% buff
@@frankmarano1118 i consider myself pretty lucky because when i started playing there was this Waver rate up (last year near april i think) and a friend of mine was like " no thats a bait banner skip it " but i was new to the game and just really liked waver from fate/zero so did a multi and got him on the first one
@@Asleep_maybeNot wow that is really lucky to start with. Yeah for the guarenteed gacha which is the only time I'm not F2P recently I did the caster banner going for skadi or merlin but got a duplicate caster nero. I was so mad lol.
& I actually have really good luck summoning 5 stars, like I got super orion & kama on my first ten pull. I got 2 space ishtars in one ten pull, it was my 3rd one in so cost me only 90 quartz. But I always get lucky on DPS servants & it probably has to do with the really good supports almost never being on rate up but I even tried get tamamo recently on news years & struck out.
But that's funny you got waver just being a fate zero fan (also what got me into fate & one of my favorite fate animes if not my favorite) without realizing how OP his skills were

Mines lvl7 as well, I guess it's a normal level for people who got it on release, unless ofc you grinded like a madman on some lottery event

i use tropical summer on like everything because rider vinki is my best servant with super orion in a distant second and it is so easy to level
I really can't wait to more Mystic Codes and lvl cap increase... I have been maxed out for almost a year and the wasted exp is killing me inside.

one thing id like to see in terms of "mystic code upgrades" is an aoe atlas
with ofc 1 less cd reduction but something like
1st skill aoe np gain up
2nd skill aoe cleanse 1 debuff + a minor heal (bc i think cleansing a single debuff is kinda yikes even if aoe as the only effect)
3rd skill aoe 1 turn cd reduction
That's such a cool buff on artoria ruler; I rolled a copy of her when I was trying to get lambda melt last summer

Use OG mystic code when doing solos
Use plugsuit for skaldi
Otherwise anything that isn't lvl 10, depending on situation lol.

i think anni blond is good if ur newer. its the ultimate unga bunga mc. and if u have more stabilized account, 2k4 cuz that mc is omegagreat with farming and nicer servants to use it on.
Hey Khad, do you know if there's a node that's good farming for mystic code XP ? Im always looking around but i can only find nodes for farming bond.
Honestly, the first mc I've mostly shelved cause plug existed. Additionally note plug is level 10 and first one is like barely 8 or 9
Finally all my MCs are maxed out. I'm free (until the new servant swapper comes out).

Plugsuit was so good back whenever everything didn't have fucking debuff resist/immune. Stun is basically a dead skill against so many bosses now lmao.
I only use the artic MC when bond farming lmao. That way I don't waste any Max MCs exp while raising the highest exp req MC
There is really no reason not to add all the Mystic Codes to the Rare Prism Shop after a while.
It's one thing to miss an event and the CEs / Welfare Servants available, but at the very least the Mystic Codes should be available to all, albeit for a price.

Definitely get Anniversary Blonde before Lostbelt 4. A certain boss fight is extremely difficult without it.
Me who already cleared lostbelt 4 without that....

Happy for y'all that you didn't need it. A lot of F2P teams can't easily clear it without AB (almost every clear you see on TH-cam uses it). Helped me out a ton.
And then theres me, who burst through the fight using taunts from Leo, George and command seals.

Cause of the way multiplicative buffs stack oberon's np dmg doubling skill just ends up doubling the damage regardless of how much np damage the servant has, the base isn't 0% it's 100% so a regular np with no buffs would be 1 (atk) * 1 (card performance) * 1 (np damage or damage mod) = 1 times damage, each buff and debuff is added or subtracted from the 100% base so since oberon's skill always doubles the np damage part of the equation it goes from x * y * z to X * y * 2z which is always equal to double the x * y * z amount no matter how your buffs are distributed. Playtesting with oberon makes it clear that whenever he uses s3 the damage more than doubles even if the only np damage buff your comp has is oberon's 30%
Your formula is a bit wrong. It's not x*y*z it's (1+x)*(1+y)*(1+z). So when you add Oberon into the mix you'll get(1+x)*(1+y)*(1+2z). As a result, Oberon is rarely if ever as simple as doubling damage. Oberon being the only np damage source (1.3 to 1.6) is a 23% increase in damage, while Oberon plus MLB black grail (2.1 to 3.2) would be 52% increase.
This relative increase is further reduced when you add in things like trait specific damage (power mods, not super effective bonuses) and event damage increases since both of those also add with the doubled np damage increase.
@@stratos0 that's where I disagree, through my experience with using oberon I am almost certain his buff isn't (1+2z) but 2(1+z), I know the way it's written you'd expect it to be 1+2z but after a lot of testing in comps where there's no other np buff besides his own the damage with his s3 is always a solid chunk more than double what it is without it, furthermore in comps where there is another np damage buff through ces or the dps has one the damage still seems to be more that doubled by about the same portion, if anything the variance seems to be depending on atk or buster buffs distibution since the double vitch oberon comp offers tons of buster performance but no atk so if the dps has solid atk steroids that's better. Feel free to test yourself but this is my impression after using him for months now.
Great video overall, but one thing I don't understand is where the 472 896 600 xp is coming from on the Arctic MC. Isn't it just the 155 331 000 XP at the bottom of the table?

What is the best place to farm Mystic code XP? It is most efficient to use an 4 star CE that gives 50 mystic code XP or just use fice 5 stars CEs?

I'm just here with my rank 8 chaldea mc cuz I immediately went to get mage's association to just 4t every story node including some bosses...
I tell you leveling up that arctic mystic code is a pain in the ass. I have almost all the mystic codes. It won't be a problem leveling up the order change ones because even if they have higher requirements they are still the best mystic codes and you could use them regularly but the arctic mystic code just takes too long to level up and have less use in comparison

Honestly plugsuit is so integral to strategies that i don't know why it hasn't become a feature by now.
I mean, when i first started i wondered why you couldn't switch party members. You have 6 of them and 3 are useless until someone dies (which is entirely random most of the time)
When i learned about plugsuit i said "duh" and i'm still wondering why it hasn't become of feature yet. Another one of these "fgo is not a well designed game" moment.
That would be broken having the ability to switch servants back and fourth to buff your main dps will make content trivial
@@fgostoryteller2168 in the current state of the game, it would be broken. And the fact plugsuit is insane goes to show how shoddy fgo's early days truly were. You'd think switching up party members would be a base feature, but nope let's put that later on, on a brand new mystic code which then invalidates the use of other mystic codes in many/most situations. Year 1 game design at its finest.

Not only that bu having order change as a base ability instead of mystic code ability wouldn't be broken. It would mean you have the freedom to chose a mystic code that isn't plugsuit... how is that broken?
Switching position is a *basic feature* in most games of this type like darkest dungeon or freaking pokémon...
Ofc such a change would be difficult/imposible now because we already have 2 mystic codes with order change, but i blame this on bad year 1 design philosophy.
