It has a bunch of beta elements, such as the beta lobbies, but also other lobbies like the vanilla lobby (earlier version of it anyway), and much more. And yeah, it's VERY confusing, and even after around 100 hours of playtime, I still don't know everything the game has to offer.
Update: 1.0 has now officially released, and this video hasn't changed at all. The only difference is that there is a sequence before you warp to the bathroom if you take the library road.
Within this video it's also telling us to touch grass (Parallel backyard), read books (uncanny library), and that we're worthless pieces of shit (Stairway to nowhere). What a brutal AI.

is it normal for the game to warp me to crumbling castle when i go through the right door to floor 3b instead of the left and going through the right door to crumbling castle warps me to 3b? is it also normal for the game to have all the doors in the floating hotel hub world to open instead of them being locked? i'm on 1.0 pre-hotfix
The floating hotel doors are supposed to be open yeah. It's part of a secret. In terms of what you asked above, I have no idea what you're referring to.
