Thank you for this video! I wish my soon to be ex-wife would watch it because she says she's feeling everything you're describing. She's throwing away 10 years together (married 6) and two wonderful boys for this. She's such a different person and it sickens me because our boys won't understand. As much as I want her to snap out of it I've decided to move on with the boys and I. I'm working on being the best Dad, person, friend that I can be. SMART contact is hard because of all the pain she's caused our family but at this point I've got to protect myself and my boys. One day I'm confident she will look back and regret all of this. I was hoping my husband would stop seeing the OW and stop being so abusive to me.
They were seeing each other during our separation all the while he was telling me he loved me and wanted to save our 25 year marriage. He married her 5 months after our divorce. That was 3 years ago and they are still living in the home we built from the ground up. So, sometimes they do stay with the other person. I have accepted it and have forgiven both of them. I am still single and free.

Marriage is wonderful but needs nurtured by both husband and wife. Put aside selfishness and each think of the other!
I know someone who went through this who was a Christian. They turned their back on God during this period in thier life to reconcile the cognitive dissonance their actions caused them.
So after your lover dumped you, now you want to try to work things out with your spouse? Why didnt you do that before you went out and ripped her heart apart and vilified her? Karma is a bitch and if I were your wife, I would never have taken you back! You've caused all this destruction and now you want peace to clear your conscience.
So if the lover didn’t leave him, they would have been still together. He went back to his wife because his lover left him. What kind of advise is that ? It would have been a good story if he left her first to reconnect with the wife.
Im sure eventually either situation will happen. It started as an affair which usually doesn’t end well.
Either way it would of most likely ended. These types of relationships aren’t life fulfilling or made to last. It’s more about using each other to fill a void and the vision they create together. They just jump right in without any healing. They run from any real life responsibilities to create this fantasy of everything being perfect,always happy,and successful. Usually whoever goes into limerance quickest ,ends it first.

These are imaginary "connections" just like when they say of their affair partner that he or she is their "soul mate". Never mind that there's no such thing as a "soul mate", but why did the male propose to his wife in the first place? Why did the wife say "yes" to the proposal? Why does each think the other is so very special in the beginning, like maybe even a "soul mate" type feeling?
It's because one or the other becomes selfish. It takes both wife and husband to nurture a marriage and for each to mature with the years. Too many would rather act like high school kids as they were during the teenage years of crushes and dating!

No one is here to discourage but we’re all humans and handle things differently and feel different and we’re entitled to voice it and have an opinion. Just because that’s what he did and would want everyone else to do doesn’t mean everyone should agree. I personally wouldn’t settle because to me what he did was come back after the mistress left him. If the mistress didn’t leave him, would he try to come back to his first wife? Like I said, she’s a much bigger person than me because I couldn’t do it and take him back after that and settle. I understand people make mistakes but that’s one HUGE mistake for me to swallow. I’ve been there and walked out and never looked back EVER! I just can’t get past it.

Thank you for this perspective. I’ve wondered what goes on in the mind of the person who leaves their faithful spouse ever since my ex-husband left me. It’s painful to hear that he really loved the other woman. They’re still together after 15 months, but I keep hearing that he’s not as happy now as he expected to be. It would mean a lot to me if he would tell me he’s sorry but I don’t expect I’ll ever hear that from him.
Please try to find your own validation. I know this isn't easy. The goal is to find happiness on your own. Married or not you must stand on your own. Good luck.

2years now for me after 13yrs married. She's half my age, & it was/is extremely painful. They even had a baby, I was unable to conceive. Yet he refuses to sign the divorce papers. He left me w absolutely nothing & I want absolutely nothing, just his signature. But he says he loves me & refuses. It’s called “attraction”, my friend. “Love” has nothing to do with it. The simple truth is, if you left your spouse to pursue your “happiness” I would say pursued your own will rather than God’s….You can justify it any way you like but your own selfishness deceived you into breaking God’s covenant. That’s right, my friend. You didn’t just violate your oath to your wife, you violated it with God. i think it all starts only if the unfaithful spouse allows these feelings to develop or allows someone to be close enough to develop those feelings. After that maybe its out of control, but i think the starting is always deliberate.

31 years of marriage, 3 children (Now adults) 3 grandchildren and my husband left us for another woman. Said he just didn't love me anymore, he wasn't happy. I don't believe I would ever be able to take him back. Too much pain has been caused to me and my family. He had always been selfish, self centered and only cared about what I could do to make him happy. It could only be through God restoring our marriage that it could ever happen but right now, my husband has chosen to live a life apart from us. Right now...He thinks he could be happy without us. I pray for him and pray for my own healing and the healing of my family. That's all I could do.
If it is in God's will, only He could restore our family. Maybe God allowed him to leave because God loves me so much and wants so much more for me. He knew my ex didn't know how to be the husband I needed and deserved. I'm looking forward to the Godly man God brings into my life in the future. I'm looking forward to knowing what real love is suppose to feel like. I won't settle for anything less.

It’s good that Joe is trying to help people now. But it’s unacceptable that he left his wife, and then had the audacity to come back to her, just cos he got dumped.
He didn’t go back right away after he was dumped. She wasn’t his second choice or rebound relationship. He finally woke up and realized that he had screwed up big time and his wife, after seeing the positive changes in him, graciously gave him another chance.

I think what disturbs me about the many videos you've put forth on this channel is the way you describe your AP in contrast to your wife. I thank u4this. I met a married guy. I fell4him. Believe honestly he felt same. We never had sex. It was so close. I sorta walked away. I believe u cracked it. We both live in an emotional lane. He rides motorbikes takes risks is open emotional free spirit bored easy tries new things takes chances. I was an escape, an addiction, an obsession for him. This is all maybe but i trust u. U have the research done so look the PROBABILITY is that it would have ended if it started as an obsessive passion. I am over a year with a good good guy that the1st question I asked was 'Are u married?' . I only recently stopped ALL contact(Last yr he got an Xmas card2his house in open honesty letting his wife know he was texting me still) . Look when i dreamt of him for years I wasted my own time. I will say he was a friend that helped me thru a tough time in my life. I will let it at that. I won't go2a place where he almost used me as i was vulnerable as i still think he is a good person. I still feel guilty tho nothing sexual happened. Really I wasted so much of my time. There was another guy after him that I never got together with mostly because of this married guy.
