Not sure if it was mentioned, but the Tool Offset Vertical/Horizontal is particularly useful for adjusting the forward/back and horizontal location of the grain cart in relation to the combine while the combine unloads.
Great video. In field margin setting you can make negative values. Then you make the field a little bigger and the combine will take all the grain from the edge. This is also a good idea when you cultivat your fields. 🇩🇰
OMG!!! Dude you ROCK SO HARD!!! This was the PERFECT WAY TO EXPLAIN THIS!!! After watching your video ONCE...I was able to finally get this feature to work!! Subscribed!!!
My man! Why on earth did I not think it’s 1 headland per combine! 🤦🏻♂️…. 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ I just couldn’t see the wood through the trees 🙄😂 Thank you kindly Sir, that CP headache has mysteriously gone away now! I gotta buy you beers dude! 🍻
Me and my big mouth!!! Started the game today and neither CP or AD are working... I press Alt-Numpad 0 to open CP and nothing happens... I press Alt-Delete to open AD and nothing happens... In the settings menu I only have the CP gear wheel now...??? I've moved the zip files out of the mod folder and started a session without them, then re-installed them to no avail... The CP headache is back with a vengeance 🤕
I have used CP for years now and although it has improved greatly when you start using multiple units it's still like hearding cats..Especially when running multiple grain carts.
If you click the no course on the mini hub when you first open your field and have your combine sitting in the field, it will automatically select the field and open the course play generator menu.
Very well explained, what I did not know was that the grain cart would automatically unload itself to a Grain truck without any configuration, till mow I always set up an autodrive course. Thank you for sharing.
@sparks8769 I just set up an autodrive path but I think you might need to tell it where to unload a bit like you tell it to load from the combine but select unload and then the truck(don't quote me though)
How do I reset the guidance path? For instance, If I'm at the end of the field, and I want to turn right, manually, how do I do that so that the new guidance path is 90 degrees to the first?
does it have to be a dedicated unloader or can this be done with a tractor and trailer? I am thinking about the new crops coming (beets, carrot and turnip). I don't know that there is a dedicated unloader for them.
I would assume that the same trailers that unload potatoes and sugar beets would probably work well with the other vegetables however you could use auto drive in that case to unload with a regular trailer since you'd likely want to drive it back to a farm in that case. It might work with course play I've never actually tried it with a normal trailer instead of an unloader
super video! thank you! can course play also let the trailer unload at a storage or silo? not the bunker but a silo or storage. would be so awesome. that way its fully automated!
Yes it can! I typically prefer to use AutoDrive for long distance courses like that, it allows you to run a truck / trailer (or tractor / trailer) on a loop and return back to the start point again. It's a great way to empty out a bin and haul things to the sell point in addition to hauling crops from the field to your bins.
One more thing you can do that will make it nicer is have the combine unloaders unload into another cart, which then unloads into trucks that run the crops to market/silo.
What's the point in putting it in a grain bin truck only to dump it into another grain bin truck? Why not just combine into the second truck and haul it? You could cut a step out so to me it doesn't make much sense... Is there a reason you use that grain cart in that way?
That’s typically how it’s done. In real life semi’s are not able to drive in the field very far without getting stuck so you use a grain cart to take grain from a moving combine to a semi
Also it keeps the combine running, especially with big time operations stopping to go unload into a semi takes time and time is very valuable so to be able to unload on the go is very useful
Part of this is also how the auger pipes work both in reality and ingame. Often the 'chaser', which is the first grain carrier is a low-sided trailer which the harvester pipe will easily clear. That chaser generally has his own auger which aĺows him to offload to the high-sided semi-trailer, which holds multiple chaser loads. It's a time and management optimisation. This way works out to be more profitable, so its how it is done.
The mini hub for my cp will not show up I’ve tried all of the settings even re maped keys for it and I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled cp I have no idea what’s wrong with it do you known what might be wrong with it?
By default the buttons are either right mouse or delete to bring up mini hub. If those aren't working it may be a mod conflict and you'll need to remap the keys
It can definitely take a long time to generate courses on lower end PCs. Even on my super expensive rig I've had courses on curvy fields take minutes to generate.
When configuring the CP: Unload Combine job, there is an option for the Giants unloader. However, whenever I attempt to use the job fails to run. Is this still a work in progress? Why does this fail unless I deactivate this setting?
Hey there, Is there a way to set it up so the combines go around the field in a circle instead of up and down? I've messed with it some and cant find one that works
You could accomplish this for so,e fields with a lot of headland passes, just keep going until the field is covered. There is a spiral setting somewhere, but I've never tried to make them drive it so unsure what it does
No, CoursePlay only works if CP is driving combine. If you check out the auto drive tutorial I did a couple weeks ago that works if you drive the combine
Very nice. I will need to give courseplay unloading a try on my savegame. Although I fear it woll not make the difference between the motherbin and the courrier Truck.
To change any workmode, combine or mower, you need to take control of the tool yourself and shift the modes (default ctrl-Y). CP will leave it where you left it
Great video thanks! I have a problem.. when my graincart delivers at the GCHB Grain Elevator and is fully emptied my game crash (keyboard and mouse is not responing) then i have to alt+F4 and my game crashes.. courseplay is the only MOD i have installed and my game is up to date. Can anybody please help me? i like to have courseplay installed.
Do you know if that'll work with mowing and pickup up the swaths with a forage harvester? I tried but the course it gives me for the forage harvester goes opposite direction of mower.
@@ajdrox018yes you can copy CP courses for baling or pickup. I generally don't touch the tool width, that is looked at when plotting the course and your baler/ forage pickup is not plotting. Run the mower/harvester at whatever toolwidth works for it, copy that course across to your next vehicle and just set it going with no changes. If you were mowing grass without a swathing mower or your combine was tiny and produced many thin straw swaths then you instead windrow the field and give the next guy the windrowers course
It really pisses me off that coursplay has turned to shit. Nothing works as advertised nor can you do half the functions you used to be able to do. It’s ridiculous that the “overloaded” feature is nonexistent and unloading a combine is easier said then done. What the hell happened to it and why hasn’t it ever been fixed?
It's a mod. It was free. Unless you are a coder yourself I'd be easy with words like ridiculous. Nobody owes you shit, courseplay is not a feature of fs22, just like it wasn't in 19. Try vanilla AI drivers

Great video of the latest Course Play for beginners. This is helping a lot.

Great video. Add auto drive for the semi and completely automated. Great content

I’ve tried getting the grain cart to unload to a grain truck but it won’t go to it. Once the cart is full it just stops. Why is that?
@sparks8769 I just set up an autodrive path but I think you might need to tell it where to unload a bit like you tell it to load from the combine but select unload and then the truck(don't quote me though)
Outstanding, thank you, sir!
Great tutorial. I put 3 harvesters and 3 chaser bins for sugar beats o CP, game got bit lagy when path calculation happened. Workers do get messy.

how come the grain cart driver won't dump into my trailers?
Thank you but where can I select so that the harvester does not drive off during unload? Can't find it. Thanks all much!
Could you just use the semi as an unloader for the harvesters?
You absolutely can do that!
Are you able to tell me where you got that mod for the Demco chaser bin?
Keep the 2 headlands for each combine You need all the room for turning harvesters
Great tutorial!
But can you also automate when the truck(s) are full?
You can yes. I'm planning to expand the tutorial series to cover those aspects soon
I just found out that you don't have to have specific labels for where the cart needs to go, crazy
mine drives to some random spot and stops or we just won't drive what do i need to do?
Great tutorial, amazing ❤
I loved the video you explained it really well thank you

Glad it helped!
If i setup two harvesters with the same course one of them does not follow headlands.
For some reason my combine gets to the edge on the headland and is blocked by an object. Do you know what this issue is?
Interesting! Wondering if this will work using the Rumble Van (w/ unlimited capacity) instead of using grain carts.and trailers

what map is this? great vid on course play i started using it today...
Why can't you getting a graincar to the combine by blowing your horn? ( like in FS 19)
What map is that?
UMRV by DJ Modding
What was the second way of copying a course to a second combine? You said there were two ways, and then you only showed the "copy course" option.
The other is to save the course and then load that course onto the other combine rather than doing a quick copy
@@KederkFarms Thank you.
how do i get the small HUD for courseplay, i am still on the very big one and this one looks way easier?
In the upper right hand corner, there's a blue ribbon that says Courseplay on it. Right click that ribbon.

so great😃

YOU CAN USE THE SAME COURSE TO GATHER THE SWATH. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS CHANGED THE WIDTH TO THE SAME AS THE HARVESTER.
