I just recently found your channel and I love your let’s plays. But man have I learned a lot from some of your videos. FS22 is now like a completely different game to me. Finally I can go bigger. I always used to just give up at some point because the field work has got too repetitive and took ages to finish on midsized fields, not to mention on some of the big ones. AI-helpers we’re not much of a help with non-squared fields. But courseplay changes everything! Thank you very much for the tutorial. As for your let’s play series… I love to relax and watch them. great video! I use courseplay on all my saves, such a timesaver when doing multiple fields in one month. its nice to see an updated guide for those new to the mod or those thinking it was to difficult to learn. I know I had an issue at one point with a modded spreader that would offset itself every time I started it running the course luckily having the info in the HUD made it easy to adjust it back when needed. cant wait to see more on this one (and maybe an in-depth Autodrive one or two lol).

Great instructions on how to use course play FSG and for anyone who watches these videos if you follow these tutorials, you will find it easy to use I was always confused about this mod but once I followed, FSG steps on how to set it up in FS19 I was able to use it and in FS22 I don’t even think about it now thanks to the tutorials, FSG did in FS19 and I rewatched this one only because of if there was any new features I hadn’t explored, I don’t know if FSG would agree one little thing is not to use course play with article vehicles when learning about CP but a fantastic tutorials from FSG as always and keep up with the great videos 👏👏👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Nice and easy basic tutorial. Been using CP for a few yers and i have always thought "Spiral" was exactly that. Going in a spiral so newer used on 'square-ish' fields. Always time to learn something new :D
I do the exact same thing with the right mouse button setting. I always deactivate it. I find it easier to use the delete key and also there are other functions which use the right mouse button that you really don’t want conflicting. Great video!
Thanks for this video, I was able to figure out most of course play as it is pretty intuitive, however, having certain settings highlighted, thought me more efficient ways. I strongly agree about disabling the "OPEN HUD WITH MOUSE" setting and I was hoping that this would be addressed in futrure updates, in a way that i don't need to disable it for every single vehicle, that would be my only suggestion regarding the options menu. I look forward to more advanced courseplay tutorals
I love to use courseplay. I always do multiple headlands around the field and finish of with up and down lanes but i also choose to skip a lane. This way the ai hardly has to back up at all, wich looses alot of time. You can add a bit of overlap on the headlands if you find that there are some missed bits on the corners of the field. Also you can increase the backup / corner speed a bit to make it more efficient.
Actually I've a field where the manual row direction is needed if no headlands are used. It's an trapezoid field. And course play auto select the rows direction with an angle. When it goes up or down the rows on the sides, initially it will hit nothing, but as the tool go more and more off the field it will hit trees as eventually ±5-10% of the tool is outside the field. Solved it with headlands. But its only needed for this slight offset angle. There is enough space to turn around for the rows.
If any1 is wondering why this course generation screen dosent looks like yours may do thats becouse u can set Courseplay in 2 modes and hes is set to Expert mode here. If u go into courseplay settings that would be the tab with the 2 gears there should be a setting called Expert mode that u can activate or deactivate. If u have this activated like in this video it gives u some extra things that u can tweak like the Headland overlap %value for example. U dont need to use expert mode by any means but if u wanna tweek some things its there for u.
Great video.But you forgot to mention one thing in course play. If you go to the harvester vehicle settings , you can tell the harvester to automatically offload to the nearest grain cart instead of you going to the harvester
Row skips also useful on small equipment behind a large (wide turn radius) tractor - ie JD 8R with a 3m seeder. Skipping rows will make for a smooth single action turn rather than fwd/rev adjustments to line up. I've also seen this real life using a baler to bale alternate rows, so as not to stress the baler hitch.
Hit delete, should bring it up, but you can change it in your keybinds. there's also another option in the settings to change from controller friendly HUD, if you switch it off that'll give you the small floating one.
Great video! I’ve used courseplay for about 2 years now and I still don’t know what I’m doing 😂 And I have a question about the fendt tracked tractor is that a mod or base game because for me the base game one even if I select us version it still has the European signs and I don’t want to use it.
It’s a hit or a miss. When it works it is smart and works well but when it doesn’t work which is most of the time it’s more hassle than what it’s worth I only really use it for transporting or harvesting so I can auto unload the combine the ai with the trailer usually gets the combine stuck and both the workers just keep driving straight getting even more stuck and 9 times out of 10 the drivers on the road get blocked by invisible obstacles they say they are blocked when there not there in the middle of the road

Thanks for this useful guide FSG. I still cannot get it to work properly with sprayers: even if the sparyer tank is full I always get the warning that it needs to be refilled when starting CP. Do you know how to solve this issue?

Hi, I`ve looked around in the comments in most of your CP toutorials for answers on whats the best way to countinue a course in a undone field? I tried CP for th first time last night and when I restarted the game today I could`t quit find the best way to restart the courses already in progress...
You should mention the option for the advanced course generator before you start to explain the course generator, because when you install course generator it start with the basic options and beginners going to be confused when they open up the menu
hello mr fsg...gps is very good but very expensive for farmers in holland...i am from holland..fields here are small no big fields and gps cost between 14000 euro and 19000 euro lot of money if you no need this...but in germany wheremy sister is living in nedersachsen that is necessary because the fields there they are much bigger then in holland...i was try to play this with gps and courseplay..its not so easy to hadle it...most time i use controller not mouse...i play now on pc..soon go play on fs 25 i see good things there...ok have nice day regards driver 1956 from holland...
The biggest issue I am running into with cp is collisions. My combines like to slam into each other when passing 😂. Other than that, it’s been a game changer for me.

Yes remove all the keybinds to Courseplay, I can't remember the last time I used a key for anything courseplay related, everything can be done by the mouse
Hi FSG I used CP a lot in fs19. Is there still a way to record a track like in Auto Drive? I used pivots a lot in 19 and therefore needed to record tracks for some crops. Thanks for the video really helpful!
he fsg, the lime spreader with the 18m wide disc on the back. also is wrong with in cp. it says its 30m. but only spread to 18m. its the 2 aksel pull behind spreader.
I'm in the twilight zone. There is a mod for this game that uses and uses and uses a term, over and over again that I've never heard in common American life, and yet somehow everyone else on the planet seems to be intimately familiar with the term. The term is Headland. Apparently the makers of this mod and everyone that uses it are deeply familiar with this oh so common term, and I'm the only one who sees it over and over again throughout this mod and has no idea what it means
@@AbleAnderson Headlands are the rows you work on on the edges of the field before you do anything else. You circle around the field however many times you deem necessary in order to give you/ the AI worker more space to turn on and to avoid damaging other fields close by. If you have crop destruction on, it also gives you space to drive on when unloading harvesters etc. I guess this term is pretty specific to agriculture, so you wouldn't really come across it in unrelated conversations. It is a real word, however, and even has its own Wikipedia page ("Headland (agriculture)"). So the mod uses the term because it is the correct word for it, and it expects you to look this up or ask someone if you get deep enough into Farming Simulator to come across this term. I knew next to nothing about agriculture and had to look up all kinds of words when I first started out, so this is fair imo.
still don't understand difference between racetrack and spiral. one of the CP options, you can restrict the tractor from leaving the field to do turn arounds....when you have hedges.
Racetrack is a combination of spiral and using lands. It’s hard to see on a small field but on a really big field it will split it into sections with lands and then spiral around each section. Spiral does the whole field at one time.

I don't have the headland direction, headland overlap, up/down row angle, and field margin options, i have the most recent modhub version, how come i can't see these options for any tool?
I can not get 1 headland to work like it does in this video. Even tho I have created fields with large enough run off areas to give them max turn area. Whenever I do 1 headland, most of the field is not getting done, and I can only get it done with using 0 headland
Hey, it's nice tutorial ... :) But , I'm using course play for years now, and now I found myself stuck with one matter ... Sometimes when I open course generator it keeps opening some simple course generator, and I can't set multiple vehicles operation, like a some kind of a "shorter" version of course generator, and that annoys me a lot :D Any idea how to get rid of it ? :D Thanks

courseplay for me makes this game playable........ let alone fun. fs 17 was amazing with a 4x map. courseplay running 12+ machines at once. i seen vids of 40+ at once. my pc would of melted doing that lol. sadly 19 was shit for courseplay. and as u stated its only been now that its stable in 22... im interested to see what courseplay has to offer for fs 22. its first farmsim game i wanted a full refund of after purchase. i realy wish games would have free trials 2-3 days or something.
As your farm grows, Course Play goes from being helpful to essential! This version in FS22 is such an improvement over the FS19 one.

another place you can get caught with your work width is if you have 2 mowers. seems to detect your front mower as default instead of the widest.

Hmmm not had that one before, maybe check in your settings that helper buy fertilizer is turned off, I can’t think of a reason it’s doing that

Just hit the play button again, just make sure it’s on nearest point rather than first point and they should start up and go straight away 👍

when I want to save the route there is no save course button ... got only load course ... but how to load anything when I can't save it first? :D
You need to create a folder to save it in, I create folders with the field numbers then it should give you the save option

You’ll go around the field 6 times rather than 3 times before you start doing the up and down rows

I'm in the twilight zone. There is a mod for this game that uses and uses and uses a term, over and over again that I've never heard in common American life, and yet somehow everyone else on the planet seems to be intimately familiar with the term. The term is Headland. Apparently the makers of this mod and everyone that uses it are deeply familiar with this oh so common term, and I'm the only one who sees it over and over again throughout this mod and has no idea what it means
@@AbleAnderson Headlands are the rows you work on on the edges of the field before you do anything else. You circle around the field however many times you deem necessary in order to give you/ the AI worker more space to turn on and to avoid damaging other fields close by. If you have crop destruction on, it also gives you space to drive on when unloading harvesters etc.
I guess this term is pretty specific to agriculture, so you wouldn't really come across it in unrelated conversations. It is a real word, however, and even has its own Wikipedia page ("Headland (agriculture)"). So the mod uses the term because it is the correct word for it, and it expects you to look this up or ask someone if you get deep enough into Farming Simulator to come across this term. I knew next to nothing about agriculture and had to look up all kinds of words when I first started out, so this is fair imo.
Is there a way to get either courseplay or autodrive to plow the roads?
still don't understand difference between racetrack and spiral.
one of the CP options, you can restrict the tractor from leaving the field to do turn arounds....when you have hedges.
Yes I leave the restrict to field option set to 9on all the time
Racetrack is a combination of spiral and using lands. It’s hard to see on a small field but on a really big field it will split it into sections with lands and then spiral around each section. Spiral does the whole field at one time.

Everytime my plow turns around on court farm it says blocked by an object but there is no object
It can give that message if it’s too close to an object, try adding a couple more headlands and see if that helps
The thing I struggle with CP is with modded cap combines, I can’t get them to work for some reason..
Seems pretty similar to setting up fields in the monitor in real life

This is courseplay, it’s only available on PC

Hi Dust, not if couseplay is running, you can also set courseplay to always stay within the field boundary too in the settings

How do you fix it when you try to click a field and it selects multiple fields?
Landscape a bigger gap between the fields, the map maker has put the edges of the fields too close to each other

how do you do that?
I don't have the headland direction, headland overlap, up/down row angle, and field margin options, i have the most recent modhub version, how come i can't see these options for any tool?
You need to turn the advanced settings on

fsg does courseplay work with all tractors or does it only work with the mod hub tractors?
It should work with all tractors the only issue you might come across is with articulated tractors can wiggle a bit

I can not get 1 headland to work like it does in this video. Even tho I have created fields with large enough run off areas to give them max turn area. Whenever I do 1 headland, most of the field is not getting done, and I can only get it done with using 0 headland

No courseplay will work with any map

Hey, it's nice tutorial ... :) But , I'm using course play for years now, and now I found myself stuck with one matter ... Sometimes when I open course generator it keeps opening some simple course generator, and I can't set multiple vehicles operation, like a some kind of a "shorter" version of course generator, and that annoys me a lot :D Any idea how to get rid of it ? :D Thanks
Make sure you have advanced mode switched on (sorry forgot to mention as I've had it set up like this for a long time) it's one of the settings 👍

Help, when I made a course he just did the headland and quit. I can't get him to do the center lol.
Make sure you are set to start on first waypoint, sounds like you started on nearest waypoint. so it's skipped some of the course
courseplay for me makes this game playable........ let alone fun. fs 17 was amazing with a 4x map. courseplay running 12+ machines at once. i seen vids of 40+ at once. my pc would of melted doing that lol. sadly 19 was shit for courseplay. and as u stated its only been now that its stable in 22... im interested to see what courseplay has to offer for fs 22. its first farmsim game i wanted a full refund of after purchase. i realy wish games would have free trials 2-3 days or something.
