Enjoy watching your videos, thank you for sharing! Also, thank you for the recommendation of “ How to Operate a Modern Era Switching Layout”. I received it yesterday and read it cover to cover this morning. I’m just starting my small switching layout and this answered a lot of questions and gave me some ideas to use for realistic operations.

Excellent, I am glad to hear that you found that book helpful! Good luck as you build your new small switching layout!

Can you do a video sometime on how to add an off-spot in JMRI? Lance Mindheim talks about them but I can’t figure out how to do one in JMRI and I think others have the same question. I want to set a car on an industry spur but not at a unloading spot because they are full. The next train will move the car into an unloading position. Your switchlist looks like you do that if I’m reading it correctly. Thanks for the interesting ops videos.

You bet, I will certainly add that to my list and try to do it soon. I have covered editing an industry in JMRI before, but I did not go into detail with the off-spot and how to do that, so I can cover that better. Thanks for the idea!
