You tube is a great source for a lot of old western movies not just John Wayne. With the quality of most of the garbage they produce today I am thankful I grew up in the times when many of these movies were current and enjoy watching them again even today.
A perfect movie. Only John Wayne movies were perfect. The Searchers, Rio Bravo, Red River, etc etc. Tall in the Saddle. I can just keep going on and on. John Wayne was a national treasure.

I have this John Wayne movie on VHS and it's black and white; one of my treasured possessions in my collection, but this is the first time I've ever seen it in color; a gem of a movie.....
I'm a huge John Wayne fan. This is one of his best movies. I am saddened when I watch this as I am reminded of the life of Gail Russell. This movie showed a side of her that I believe what was really inside her heart before Hollywood sunk it's claws into her. I am glad that she took on this role, and that we can remember her as the "Angel" that paid the price to tame a "Bad Man".
Yes she wanted to be an artist which she was good at but it was her mother that pushed her into acting but she was chronically shy and a friend suggested that she carried a hip flask full of vodka and she was hooked on the stuff ...very sad ❤⚘⚘
