Great film one of my favourites
Can’t beat the old ones

Realize what is coming and prepare yourself and your family. They have not surrendered, but after the fight, they will. keep your eyes open to the battle that comes,GOD BLESS AMERICA.
William Holden was awesome as Pike Bishop in The Wild bunch ....

The Horse Soldiers 1959. During the Civil War, Colonel John Marlowe (John Wayne) is tasked with leading a Union cavalry division to raze a Confederate railroad depot. Marlowe faces further challenges as a result of his frequent disagreements with the regiment's surgeon, Major Henry Kendall (William Holden), and the presence of Miss Hannah Hunter (Constance Towers), a Southern belle who overhears Marlowe's secret plans and is brought along to prevent her from spreading the word.

Perfect time for a John Wayne movie, the morning Trump won back the Whitehouse !
Happy, happy, happy but will he use Air Force 1 or his own jet?
He'll be on a golf course with his billionaire friends planning to rip y'all off! Gods gift my rear end, minions!
AF1 represents America, so that's what he'll use. No longer will it be insulted by a crook that had to use the cargo stairs.

You beauty.. MAGA 🇺🇸🇦🇺
Always a Favorite of mine, BUT... it is NOT a western. It takes place during the Civil War, there for it is a War Movie.
Well sorta. It *_does_* take place in the western theater of the Civil War.
This is often done to disguise or hide the real content of the film being posted. Notice it didn’t have a title.
Probably because if it did, TH-cam would remove it.
Actually, although it is fictional, it's based on a raid that went into Mississippi in 1863. Not the West as we think of it at all.
Its name is HORSE SOLDIERS
Porque não é dublado ou legendado em português
No, the Searchers is his best!
Too many adverts (no I wont pay to stop them) so watched it elsewhere ad free
Watching in Australia 🇦🇺 what going on with Trump 😢
I don't care for the Rebs being wiped out in the RR Town, but Movie Makers know nothing of the South ... after all, Calif is a Democrat State ( Airheads).
Thank you for not using "Cali".
I am embarrassed for you. "Calif is a Democratic State" so the movie makers know nothing of the South???
HELLO, this is a John Ford production! Yes I know, you have no idea who he is, do you?
What is wrong with you? By your lights West Point isn't worthy of teaching history because of its location, though I have no doubt you
have no idea where that is either.
The movie was based on an actual raid, and it gets all the tech and historical points spot on.For instance
the Battle of New Market was the inspiration for the attack the cadets mount in the film. But you didn't know that did you.
Obviously your grasp of history is even worse than your understanding of movie making.
You don't care for the rebs being depicted as losing a fight, ergo the movie is no good? So Vicksburg and Franklin and
Petersburg can never be depicted on film because the traitors lost to the American army?
The movie is a poor rendition of "Grierson's Raid:" 600 Miles in 16 days, La Grange Tennessee to Baton Rouge Alabama. With destruction of Newton Station on the way.
Thetrue story by Grierson and some of his Sergeants.
Btw, Grierson later founded and commanded the 9th and 10th Coloured cavalry ( Buffalo Soldiers) later commanded by "Black Jack Pershing" as a young West Point Officer, in his first command.
Hollywood stuffed up a good story!!!!
DocAV late 2/14 QMI.
Jus cause its got the duke n horses dont make it a western , sir
Castellano
I hate John Wayne ! Abd so all the movies he play in.
