    I ran a similar combo back in 2008. Stock motor, headstuds, 42lb inj, 255 pump, 60mm turbo, Air/Air, meth injection, Pro-M blow thru 3" tube MAF, 22° timing, NO TUNE. Never had it on a dyno, but it went 6.90s in the 1/8 @ 101 3200lbs thru a AOD trans. Fun and simple combo.

Dual plane runs clean not crazy quick but it’s fun. Advancing the cam 4* doesn’t “add” any power it just lets you use the power that is already available earlier in the rpm range..with stock untouched e7 heads I usually advance the stock cam 4* because those heads don’t make any power passed 5300 and there is no need to make it scream..also Dan is running 42lb injectors with stock ignition..I know he modifies his kits to accept larger wastegates but I’m pretty sure it’s a 50mm and a 44mm bov

    I have 2 pairs of e6 heads, not great heads i know but 1 set is completely rebuilt and going dirt poor budget on this one. Stock block and ring gap, have you seen anyone put boost to these? and do you have any idea on valve springs i can use with no machining? Channel is great love the content thanks

    • @brianwenzel8791
      @brianwenzel8791 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Honestly, the E6 heads get a bad rep, & in my opinion, they are actually way better than others would say. I've had great luck with them, most importantly, learn how to port heads & they'll do you good. Unshroud the intake valves in combustion chamber, minimize the short turn radius in both intake & exhaust, open up the external (header area) exhaust ports by a lot, same as E7's & get good valve springs.👍✌🇺🇸

      @blacksheepautoworx5304 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@brianwenzel8791 thanks for the reply, gonna use those e6 heads for sure ported one already, but….. I did find a rebuilt set of Gt40p ‘s at a cylinder head shop guy had them there for a good while. Let them go for 200 bucks I said sold brotha. Just needed truck flow springs and grind out humps. I do wanna boost the e6 and see what it does. When I buy my dyno I will make a video for that.

    • @brianwenzel8791
      @brianwenzel8791 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Right On. I prefer the Gt40 heads over the Gt40P's The same basic design, but the P's are problematic for header fitment. The spark plugs are at a weird angle. Very difficult to find headers that fit. I actually used the 1986 E6's on my Fox, because of the P's header fit issue. The heavily ported E6's, stock valves, 160 lb. Springs, 1.6 rockers, arp rod bolts & head studs & mls head gaskets, 9.1 compression. 220°x 512 lift cam. Single 66mm turbo, 12psi. 30 tho ring gap, 18°timing, AOD/shift kit, 2200 stall. 3.73 rear. 421rwhp @ 5600, 486 ft lbs @ 3300. So E6's can get it done.👍😁🇺🇸
