    If you don't bring your bus home soon, you may find mine sitting in your driveway. 😂 Obviously, I am kidding. Interestingly product. I can see a lot of use for it. Can't wait to see the solar installation. Thank you for the video.
    I still haven't installed the Quattros. I'm over the Marathon system.

    i have this battery and the hub. the cigarette port on the hub turns off after a few hours after using it with my setpower for some reason.
    i bought a newport vessels battery box which has a cigarette port and that solved the problem no issues.
    also, i tested and i can charge it via solar without the hub, connected via the anderson input on the dr. prepare battery itself.
    i am also looking for a 1000watt to 2000watt inverter.
    now i will buy another battery to double the capacity.

      I really like that battery - it’s pretty compact with what you get out of the box. Wonder if your hub is bad or overheated. I ran my cooler all day with it - lucky I guess! Still crazy it’s cheaper, lighter by a long shot and more capacity than an 8D!

    Great Battery but not available on Amazon in either USA or Canada. I tried everything to order it

      I saw that. Not sure why they dropped that power module. Made it very useful

    Can this be charged from AC (without alligator clips) or from 12 volt dc car input?

    • @CampPrevost
      @CampPrevost  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If your thinking like a car battery replacement - no. Not without some modifications. Most all alternators are set for lead acid / AGM type batteries - unless it has an adjustable regulator. The settings are close - but because this battery has a BMS (basically a computer controlled shutoff) you run the risk of the BMS shutting things down. They make a DC - DC charger now - so you can take the old school alternator power and reuse it for a lithium battery. You would need that to charge from your vehicle. For AC, I installed an Anderson connector to the posts. This allows me to plug in an inverter for AC power, and also allows me to plug in an AC charger. I also installed a cheaper battery monitor so I can track the SOC. I just use the solar to charge, I guess it really needed another port to easily charge by other means. Hope that helps.

    Can this run an electric blanket on a camping trip in the Alps?

    • @CampPrevost
      @CampPrevost  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depends upon the load of the blanket. You can also use a lifepo4 in freezing weather but can’t charge it, unless you keep the battery under the blanket with you. Feel like your question is a riddle! Lol

    i finally got 700watt renogy inverter 1400 watt surge for my dr. prepare battery and now i find out i need a fuse.
    do you have one to recommend?

    • @CampPrevost
      @CampPrevost  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Let wire size and end device protection be your guide. If your wire is sized correctly, the 100 amps on the battery BMS will be the first to go. I’d get a 100-125amp fuse in that case. It will let it surge but hopefully shut things down if they go to high for to long.

    Have you ever got the bars over three bars

    • @CampPrevost
      @CampPrevost  ปีที่แล้ว

      I have not, but I’m only going to 13.9v - so not sure if that is the reason or not. Wish it came with a simple shunt or ability to read the BMS - then it would be perfect. I really like it though - I use it all the time and like recharging with solar - I’ve grown into a nerd but it’s fun! Lol

      I got bars over 3 but it took a car charger to the Anderson connection and let it sit. I have 4 bars now. But before I did this no more than 1 or two bars. I did Lefepo4 battery to this battery using the car charger from the solar generator to the charging port. I was shocked 4 bars came up.

    Mine just failed after 4 months

    • @CampPrevost
      @CampPrevost  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Really? Will you share any details of your use? Discharge voltage & soc, charge voltage, amount of cycles? Mine is working fine, curious why it stopped? Is it just the BMS or a cell? Thanks!
