    Would love to hear about how they felt. That’s actually probably the most important piece of information for an online review as you are our hands. Numbers are not quite as meaningful when it comes to choosing clubs. It’s mostly about the feel. Sorry that’s just what I think.

    I personally play the 716 AP2’s and like them more than the 718’s. Shafts are the modus 3 120s tours and they are just pure beauty from the shaft down to the actual club head. Can’t see me changing my irons for a very long time

    Got fitted day before Christmas. Tested Titleist CB, Wilson Staff Model, Wilson V6 and JPX 919 Tour. I ended up with the JPX 919 Tour because of spin and tighter dispersion. My first Mizunos. The feel at impact was great.

  • @NapoleonDynamites
    @NapoleonDynamites 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I Have last years JPX, they spin like crazy. Every single green I hit they stop dead even down the the 4 iron where they will only go a couple of feet from where they land. Brilliant when you get it right at the flag but if you land short you get no favours from them. Lovely feeling club as well. I definitely recommend them.

    You should have compared the AP2 to the JPX 919 Tour. That's the closer comparison which is why one had a stronger loft than the other. The JPX 919 Forged is closer to the New Titleist AP3. That's the comparison I'd love to see. Thanks.

    Usually in these head-to-head reviews there is no clear winner, but based on your personal swing, Mizuno has the better results. When you can have more spin, more distance, higher flight from one club, then that is your pick. Of course, everyone's swing is different so one should still get fitted.

    Mizuno looks much larger sitting next to AP2. At playing position it looks more like a game improvement iron vs a players iron.

  • @NeelaLeknaz
    @NeelaLeknaz 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    I got fitted for both of these irons at the same fitting meet. I loved the Mizuno's, but as soon as I saw the AP2's the JPX just looked hideous and bulky. Feel wise, I feel like I'm rewarded a lot more from the AP2's. So I had to go with the AP2's, CB's feel even better but I got better numbers from the AP2's, and very similar from the JPX. So I went ahead with the AP2's and I should get them at the end of this week/beginning of next week. End of the season, sadly, but I'm looking forward to it!

    Great video.
    It seems if club head speed was the same even with Mizzy being 2° stronger you had basically identical results (minus spin). I'm a bit shocked I figured the JPX would have added maybe 5 yards more in carry but not the case with "your swing" (others may vary obviously).
    I love my 718 AP2 w/ Steelfiber i95s.

    I just bought a set of the Mizuno JPX 919 Forged today and they are very lite compared to my old set. I could not get any good distance from my 4 iron. Only like 50-60 yards. I could more distance from my old 8 iron. Unless you just have to hit these irons with laser precision on the sweet spot to get any distance? And somehow I never hit that perfect spot in the 5 or 6 times I swung my 4 iron today? Gonna try again tomorrow and hopefully have better luck. Does anyone else think these Mizunos are way too lite or what? I demo’d the Calloway Rouges, Titleist Ap1’s, and Taylor Made M4’s and had no problem getting distance with those. I figured Mizunos had such a better reputation, there was no way I wouldn’t love them... Lemme know what you think and which irons you swear by for good distance and playability??? Thanks!!

      The Verdict: When designing an iron, deciding how to best use available weight is a critical decision. Where is weight necessary? Where is it not needed? Where can you move it around? In the JPX 919 Tour, the decision was made to selectively thin the topline and relocate that saved mass in the toe and sole to provide optimum forgiveness. More toe weight also offers a more centralized sweet spot-something better players appreciate.
      Loft: 7-iron: 34 degrees; PW: 46 degrees

    Another nice video! Always enjoy watching your smooth swing/tempo. I played the 900 Forged, but now have Ap2 - definitely less distance on the Titleist. However, the dispersion and distance control are much more consistent with Ap2 for me and it appeared slightly the same for you. Keep those vids coming.

Yet a year ago they were more than happy to give you their Clubs to try and review when you had less subscribers than you have now?? Hmmm...yeah that makes a lot of sense Mike..and in addition to that, you were one of the first guys in the UK to review their equipment, when others didn't bother....sounds like a bit of an immature attitude on their part for you going over to Wilson Irons and TM UDI...but of course you'd be far too professional to comment...Wink!
