      So much going on, you wouldn't know anything about that... Thanks man!

    Showing both ways is helpful. Most if this is their first build will most likely buy the printed parts so they will be doing the screws so seeing that you did it both ways are beneficial as well. Great video, BiB!

      Thanks! I want this to be an easy to follow build by using as much of the regular BOM as possible. I know the the "Pin Mod" id down-played a lot, but there is a TON of slop on a 5mm screw - just isn't near the best we can do. The mod is cheap and easy.

    VERY useful showing both ways. I'm waiting for the first four or five of the videos come out (while I'm printing out parts) to start building. The approach you use shows enough to clarify, but save both you and the audience time. Thanks!

      Doing my best to get them to you, any interest in tips for printed parts?

    Great job on the video and information. Small note - You forgot the top shim on the final A drive, (pin mod) single stack. Thank You for the video's.

      I'll have to go back and look! We're all human - Thanks for looking out!

      @@BuildItBasement No problem. There's a lot going on when you're shooting a video. I get no joy out of pointing a possible error out. I just have this bad habit where I can't not say anything. Sometimes I probably should try harder though. - I wasn't even making a video and I screwed up. It was on the double stack. Not the single stack. Around 29:13.

    Is that a T12 style soldering iron? Can you maybe post a link where to find the heat insert tip?

    • @BuildItBasement
      @BuildItBasement  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's actually a very inexpensive iron I purchased on Amazon here: amzn.to/3OmkUsk and used this kit: amzn.to/4bobNBh Kris @ KB-3D sells the CNC Kitchen tips here: kb-3d.com/store/64-tools-equipment I'm not sure about the T12.

    Great video mate 👍 what is stopping the pins for the pins mod dropping out over time? Are the holes capped in any way? Cheers mate 👍🇦🇺😊

    • @BuildItBasement
      @BuildItBasement  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The bottoms have slight hole size reduction. Funny you do ask this because HartK has a note on his git to @doomweasel asking "They fall out yet?"
      "github.com/hartk1213/VoronUsers/tree/master/printer_mods/hartk1213/Voron2.4_Trident_Pins_Mod I have run pin mods for a long while on printers and never have had an issue with a pin falling out.

    Do you recommend any threadlocker on the M3 x 30's that mate the motor to the A/B assemblies?

    • @BuildItBasement
      @BuildItBasement  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Plastic to metal I consider to be optional since the plastic works as bit of a locknut (compressive and "sticky") If I was to add it I would use a drop directly in to the threads of the stepper.

      @@BuildItBasement I think Woody uses a toothpick to ensure he gets it in/on only the right places.

      At some point you'd have to wonder if you can get enough product on to make a difference! Woody is Great!

      Three on each to equal six when combined. Just wait until we get a little further.... Some great things to come.

    I think all of your video looks good an is well produced, but as a casual person bumbling my way through, i have no idea what this video is about. I think you might be able to pick up more subscribers if thats a little more obvious with your thumbnail and title...

    • @BuildItBasement
      @BuildItBasement  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Awesome feedback! And, THANK YOU. It's difficult to know how things are perceived by people. It doesn't help that when you are making a video thumb and title you are limited to such a narrow space, meaning you have so little size and time to entice a click. If you were to re-thumb and title this video, what would you do? If you have time to reply I really do appreciate it. If not, thanks for the insight.

      @@BuildItBasement I spend a lot of time in the 3d printing space (though I am admittedly more pedestrian with my a1 mini) and I had to look up what a Voron Trident was. I also am consistently fed a lot of RC vehicle content as well so it could have been that. Especially with that title I kind of assumed it had something to do with RC motors. I just think mentioning something about 3d printers somewhere would have been good. And as far as the thumbnail goes I just have no idea what to make of it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    • @BuildItBasement
      @BuildItBasement  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Perfect. To be honest, one of the things you learn quickly with thumbs, *leave a lot to question*. People tend to click on the "unknown" more than the "known". Changing the title i as soon as I can! @@DevinSloan
