Gm issues never end. My 05 yukon power locks quit working, only the locking worked. I was not able to unlock from any door. I pulled and wiggled all the fuses and relays, under hood also and now it all works fine. Also a bit of good advice to to all the Chevy owners to put a new ground on the engine to body. Mine was completely corroded off on the firewall.

I had the trailer brake fuse fail and melt the solder on the bottom of the fuse panel in the underhood box on an 04. It was driving me mad. The solder BB's would roll around in the fuse box and cause weird intermittent electrical issues. I NEVER pay to have my car fixed but that one i took to an electrical specialist and he figured it out. You can take the fuse box shake it and hear the BB's in there. Just a heads up for anyone having these issues. i had doors locking and unlocking going down the road, random no starts, lights coming on and off. it was like an electrical poltergeist.
05 yukon. I had major issues with parasite draw. Radio clock was at 12 everyday. Dummy me I replace the radio and that was a nightmare because other radios don't work unless you pull a tiny black on the bottom side of it inside. I replaced the battery and everything works fine now. Even the parasite draw went away. Personally I believe the GM designed all this purposely.

My 2004 GMC Sierra Crew Cab SLE 1500 5.3 liter has been having problems with the key fob unlocking and locking all of doors. It started as a very intermittent issue and then it started being a constant problem where now I cannot open the doors with the key fobs at all. I have checked the fuses on the inside and under the hood but I do not find anything burnt out. I have also had problems with my passenger front door and now my passenger rear door giving me problems with the interior light not coming on or delaying coming on and now it is so confusing. I have replaced the batteries in the key fobs and have even replaced the push button pads but that has not fixed the problem with the Locking and unlocking of the doors. I was wondering if it had to do with the computer which I believe is also called the body control module but I may have to look under the front engine compartments fuse box to see if anything is obvious in the wires. Underneath the cover everything is clean except for a tiny bit of dust but I don't know about the underneath portion.
I just had this exact problem on my Silverado. It completely died on me while driving and would not restart. It would crank but not start. I had to have it towed back to the house. The mice had been making my fuse box a home. I ended up replacing the fuse box, it isn't hard, and it fixed the issue. Now, how do I keep them out of there????
Our radio has been switching between the station and the satellite radio, without anyone touching the button. Last night when we returned home, the driver's side headlights went out. My partner checked the fuses quickly and made sure they were in place. We went back out quickly after that, then it sounded like a fuse blew and smoke started coming from that part of the hood. There was a tiny fire, he was able to blow out thank goodness. We're going to check later when we're finished work, and still have light. Hoping it's not too costly of a fix, as my car was just written off and it's going to take awhile for our new vehicle to arrive.

An Opossum opened its mouth to expose its sharp teeth at me. It was actually in a lying down position and nursing its babies. It didn’t jump because that could mean the death of the little ones. I needed the part because my car’s was leaking bad. I slowly opened the hood again after dropping it and put the hood bar up. I slowly removed the reservoir as it was comfortably to the left of her. I then slowly lowered the hood and left. Man, when you need a part you do what you gotta do.

Hi Gents. The wipers on my ''11 1500 stopped working. Went to check fuse under hood, pulled the #36-25 Amp (I think) and half of it broke in the fuse slot (corrosion present). Any thoughts on getting the rest of it out? There is no exposed part of the fuse to pull on. Tried twitters etc. Tried to did it out, etc. Does the box come apart to allow access from the bottom? And yes, my 15 thousand miles presently 2013 Buick Verano 2.4 Liter convenience trim was parked in the same remote parking spot for two and a half months October through December 2019 in cold weather without being started ever. And I am not sure if I can be guessing that a mouse or squirrel has chewed on the engine fuse box wiring for certain. I am observing the environment and heat from my engine and vibrations affecting my Buick so far like speaker audio and rear view camera images are not functioning properly about 10 percent of the time. I don't know if I can be careful enough to remove the engine fuse box cover and take a look at it. I gently tapped on the cover of the engine fuse box cover and the speaker audio and rear view camera images started to function properly.

I have what seem to be a red heavy wire attached to the fuse box and labeled as glo plug 175 ot cluster 125. It ties into a wire harness and runs under the fuse box and ti the small fuse box side the bigger box.. any how the heavy red wore has alot of corrosion on it just before it goes into the wire harness.. any bad issues this may cause?

We have removed two different 15 fuses that run the orange light in my 2016 yukon xl Denali Head light and the driver side light still Stays on and blinks after removing the fuse. It’s slowly draining the battery and we cannot figure it out

@1A Auto - Hello. I am trying to program a brand new replacement key fob for my 2001 Chevy Tahoe. As mentioned the key fob is brand new, with brand new working batteries. I have followed/repeated the entire insert key, hold down unlock button, turn ignition off/on twice, wait for the lock to cycle, press and hold lock/unlock on fob simultaneously. But the lock never cycles therefore the Tahoe never enters programming mode. As a side note, I know that the locks are capable of cycling. Because when I pull and hold the bright light lever while cycling the key twice to program my desired door lock/unlock sequence the locks will actually cycle, the same way that they should when programming the key fobs. Can you please share some troubleshooting steps that might help me diagnose why my Tahoe won't enter programming mode so that I can program my new key fobs. Thank you.

+K7DFA Thanks for watching! The best thing you can do is to check under the hood more frequently. This will usually happen when the vehicle sits for a while, so if you drive it frequently and check more often you should be fine!
I got a 2011 Chevy Silverado pick up truck the other day at the light on the turn signal on the left-hand side up on the dash did not come on so I went and bought a new switch but the screen wheel off but the new one on identical put it back to the other same thing Went through the fuses on the side there’s like 13 amateurs 30 holes all them were good then I went out I need the hood pulled out up and it was a corrosion city and so Autozone told me told me do you spray this carpet cleaner on it and there’s electronic spray on it battery cleaner I mean When I got the fusions coming out we got two of the drop off of one down inside have you ever split that you know so you can see into the bottom of the fuse is itself fuse that you push you can see the bottom of it have you ever done that can we do that
My trans went out, it sat for a couple months. I guess a little critter made it it's home. Now I guess my fuse panel is fried. Was doing fine, then started giving me these random issues. Started with the tail/running lights going out. Found the relay lost it's ground, jumped the headlight ground from one relay to the next. That problem went away. Then some goofy ignition relay issues, then a code for a high voltage then a low voltage ignition relay or whatever. Swapped around relays no difference. Then the whole truck went insane, and crapped out. Hopefully it didn't fry the computer too. About a hundred codes!
My tail lights won't work either . I put a fuse in the spot and they worked until i turned the truck off then never came on again. Where is the relay for the tail lights?

Hi. About a year ago I had mice get underneath that fuse box and eat the wiring, beared some wires and they shorted out the circuitry of the box, so had to replace it. Today the fuel solenoid fuse srarted shorting out again...... may have gotten some moisture in the engine compartment. Do you have some suggestions as to where to look for this short?????

@@33juiced 03 tahoe z71. driver windows, and lock sawitch do not work. have taken out and cleaned, then it worked for about a month. now it does not work. also intermittent dash failure. rpm works, speedo works, but fuel, batt, oil, and temp do not work. abs, service 4x4, and airbag light is on. also the radio will not come on. have checked fuses and fuses are fine. i dont see any mouse nests or any of those things either. im at a loss.

I was having issues with it saying i had a bad ignition relay. Also my tail lighys and driving lights quit. Smelled like urine under the cover. I had to use about 5 flat head screwdrivers and remove every relay and fuse, but I got to the circuit board and found corrosion, also found bad circuitry between the top and bottom of the board. I believe I can repair this board, but there's a bunch of little white relays on the board itself , and wonder if these will present issues.
And what if they had chewed up the ends of the harnesses as well, replacing that box isn't going to fix all of it, and my truck now has all sorts of new cool features in it bc of the electrical issues in it 🐁

The cover comes off easy enough and I see a couple of tabs, maybe holding the top of the box to the bottom...BUT IDK. ALSO for a replacement part. "FUSE BOX shows NOTHING for my 2004. Maybe mine is too old to fix with 150,000 miles on it
there have got to be some ways to clean the fuse box. If not at least any suggestions to keep rodents out, or a new design that prevents them from getting in?

No Mice in my 2013 but lost my wipers, now seat belt restraint system no signal, Truck has gone into limp mode in wet weather a couple times. I think its related to the Fusebox. I hate to throw parts at it but what a POS design

I noticed you had to remove that bracket in the corner to access the fuse box housing removal! Forgot to mention that?! It has four 13mm bolts.

My truck soesn't want to start every once in a while and the reverse lights stay on no matter what and my rear running lights absolutely don't work

I have what seem to be a red heavy wire attached to the fuse box and labeled as glo plug 175 ot cluster 125. It ties into a wire harness and runs under the fuse box and ti the small fuse box side the bigger box.. any how the heavy red wore has alot of corrosion on it just before it goes into the wire harness.. any bad issues this may cause?
Sonoma 03 . Some of the fuses inside that box ,in my truck dosent have power .i bought it 4 years ago and my lights always have been blinking since then ...if about 7 fuses dont have power inside that box could that be normal???? I used a test light

@1A Auto - Hello. I am trying to program a brand new replacement key fob for my 2001 Chevy Tahoe. As mentioned the key fob is brand new, with brand new working batteries. I have followed/repeated the entire insert key, hold down unlock button, turn ignition off/on twice, wait for the lock to cycle, press and hold lock/unlock on fob simultaneously. But the lock never cycles therefore the Tahoe never enters programming mode. As a side note, I know that the locks are capable of cycling. Because when I pull and hold the bright light lever while cycling the key twice to program my desired door lock/unlock sequence the locks will actually cycle, the same way that they should when programming the key fobs. Can you please share some troubleshooting steps that might help me diagnose why my Tahoe won't enter programming mode so that I can program my new key fobs. Thank you.

+K7DFA Thanks for watching! The best thing you can do is to check under the hood more frequently. This will usually happen when the vehicle sits for a while, so if you drive it frequently and check more often you should be fine!

I got a 2011 Chevy Silverado pick up truck the other day at the light on the turn signal on the left-hand side up on the dash did not come on so I went and bought a new switch but the screen wheel off but the new one on identical put it back to the other same thing Went through the fuses on the side there’s like 13 amateurs 30 holes all them were good then I went out I need the hood pulled out up and it was a corrosion city and so Autozone told me told me do you spray this carpet cleaner on it and there’s electronic spray on it battery cleaner I mean When I got the fusions coming out we got two of the drop off of one down inside have you ever split that you know so you can see into the bottom of the fuse is itself fuse that you push you can see the bottom of it have you ever done that can we do that

My trans went out, it sat for a couple months. I guess a little critter made it it's home. Now I guess my fuse panel is fried. Was doing fine, then started giving me these random issues. Started with the tail/running lights going out. Found the relay lost it's ground, jumped the headlight ground from one relay to the next. That problem went away. Then some goofy ignition relay issues, then a code for a high voltage then a low voltage ignition relay or whatever. Swapped around relays no difference. Then the whole truck went insane, and crapped out. Hopefully it didn't fry the computer too. About a hundred codes!
My tail lights won't work either . I put a fuse in the spot and they worked until i turned the truck off then never came on again. Where is the relay for the tail lights?

About a year ago I had mice get underneath that fuse box and eat the wiring, beared some wires and they shorted out the circuitry of the box, so had to replace it.
Today the fuel solenoid fuse srarted shorting out again...... may have gotten some moisture in the engine compartment.
Do you have some suggestions as to where to look for this short?????

For months I’ve been dealing with the issue of my driver side door not locking or unlocking. I drive a 2003 Chevy Tahoe. Any ideas or tips on what the problem may be?

@@33juiced 03 tahoe z71. driver windows, and lock sawitch do not work. have taken out and cleaned, then it worked for about a month. now it does not work. also intermittent dash failure. rpm works, speedo works, but fuel, batt, oil, and temp do not work. abs, service 4x4, and airbag light is on. also the radio will not come on. have checked fuses and fuses are fine. i dont see any mouse nests or any of those things either. im at a loss.

I was having issues with it saying i had a bad ignition relay. Also my tail lighys and driving lights quit. Smelled like urine under the cover. I had to use about 5 flat head screwdrivers and remove every relay and fuse, but I got to the circuit board and found corrosion, also found bad circuitry between the top and bottom of the board. I believe I can repair this board, but there's a bunch of little white relays on the board itself , and wonder if these will present issues.

I have a 99 GMC Sierra, the ctsy fuse keeps blowing, all dome light are out, before dome light work fine. I notice the E-brake wire was expose n fix that but the ctsy fuse still blowing out. What is the issue for this.

problem is with the trailer lights . One side is sometimes on running light, sometimes brake light . Right now left running light on while truck is turned off!

The cover comes off easy enough and I see a couple of tabs, maybe holding the top of the box to the bottom...BUT IDK. ALSO for a replacement part. "FUSE BOX shows NOTHING for my 2004. Maybe mine is too old to fix with 150,000 miles on it
