Cambodia prophecy predicted "King borns before father takes grandpa for a walk". He was the one. In addition, prophecy predicted "thmil returns" in year 1939 but prophecy issued two more dates in the same verse. Though, his royal scholars used year 1939 to argued prophecy was wrong, but he was concern by refusing to believe Cambodia prophecy (Ie. in the book "The Crying of the Living Stone"). Cambodia prophecy was 100% came to pass in chronicle order of prediction including date if given one (Ie. In exact year 1992/93 Thomik White Race stationed in PP). In that verse, prophecy gave a date France gave Cambodia territory Cochincine to Vietnam in 1939, Prince Sihanouk became King, and 1947 when 23 years per block curses begin. 1st block 1947/48 (monarchy constitution) to 1970/71 (republic constitution). 2nd 1970/71 to 1993/94 (UN sponsor election). 3rd 1993/94 to 2016/17 (exterminate UN sponsor election system). 4th block and the final was up to 2057. Prophecy predict world crisis began 2006/07 and it was happened in 2008 (1st block curses begin). If the world did do more to prevent it, the next cycle is 2020/21. 1st block 2007/08 to 2020/21. If nothing substantially done, the next cycle will be 2032/33 and it will repeat in 2044/45 if the world didn't do anything about it. Now, the world curses is at 2nd block. Based on Cambodia paradigm, it will be war, famine, disaster, and so on. As the result one-third of population will perish. Now, we got Covid pandemic, Russia-Ukraine, ..., and so forth. God chose Cambodian as guinea pig for the world to avoid the catastrophe but how much we can do about it. If the world failed, devil will control the earth as one can be seen in Cambodia. Thomik White Race allowed thmil to share power with the elected candidate from France (prophecy said from the West) and then coup (ate candidate from the West). One thing, we can do is the eliminate the last curses in Cambodia. That way, the world could at least avoid the last curses from happening.

And what I don't know or question I look it up....as for Cambodia and China, let them. If the Cambodians want to make deals or work with China or Kow Tow to China let them. China and Cambodia are only two countries out of 197. Due to the selfish and unfriendly nature of the Chinese, I think it's fair to say the Chinese could use some friends as the majority of the world don't like the Chinese , not to mention they caused COVId and keep bullying nations in the South China sea...... It's time for India and China to see 'eye-to-eye' and 'face-to-face' to engage and manage our differences. The relationship between Chinese and Khmer happens since before Angkor period, we trade and we were ally, the marching of Khmer army with China were carved on the temple. The reason that this is being discussed world wide because China is U.S's rival and U.S has been the big guy for decades now and when that big guy sees someone else is catching up, he sort of like inform everyone else world wide to turn their face on his rival so that he can be in power.

As a khmer,we always want to stay neutral,yet war keeps on forcing us in. We don't have much choice with the west thus we turned to China regardless of traps,and now the west thinks we're enemies. Occasionally I watched your channel and enjoyed it. Please allow me to share some thoughts on this episode.
Point 1. When the word clandestine or secret is used, it conjures evil or ill intention. Cambodia sees it as a continuing close relationship with China, stretching over a thousand years, with the relationship even recorded in the carvings on Ankor Wat. The West wants to portray it as an exploitation and domination of a small neighbouring nation by a big nation. Remember US has more than 800 bases all over the world, in nations big and small. Also, you don't need to google much on how they have been exploiting not just small but also big nations. Besides, note that Cambodia has an independent foreign policy condemning Russia's invasion of Ukraine, very different from China's.
Point 2. You also mentioned China has a base in Djibouti as a case that, while it accuses US of aggression, it is also harbouring a similar ambition. If you had mentioned that Djibouti also has an American and also a Japanese base, all near to each other, the context changes. The bases are mainly for anti-piracy purpose.
Point 3. You mentioned your sources as WP and WSJ. These, and other Western mainstream media, carry the most anti-China reports. I used to be an avid listeners of BBC. They aired highly biased news and reports of India and other former British colonies. Now Western mainstream media are bending backward to charm India. Why? If India and China engage constructively with each other, the two neighboring giants will bring about the long overdue Asian Century. So, divide and rule is in the well used colonial playbook - amplify distrust.
Unfortunately, the Third World and developing nations are dependent on western mainstream media which dominated air, digital and printed space, written with Anglo Saxon lenses of fears and bias. India needs to generate more of its own sources of information at ground level.

Exactly my thought as an Indian. I feel sad sometime because we Indians are easily manipulated by the west at will. Not saying China is the best neighbor we have, but the issue and problems between India and China are exaggerated and manipulated by the West, western media and narratives. We Indian should know that if we are in China's position today - big, stronger and powerful, USA will do every evil thing that they are trying to do with China now - like pulling India's leg, spreading fears about India and human rights issue and what not.
Fortunately many Indians are waking up to Western Hypocrisy lately, particularly to that of US double standard hypocrisy. Shekharji views on China has became very shallow nowadays, only basing his opinions mostly from the most untrustworthy sources - the Western Media
As China becomes more powerful, its going to be a bigger bully and threat to India and other Asian countries. That's why India will have no choice but to move closer to America.

Yet, the West knows India holds the key to the whole equation. Imagine Russia + India + China = Eurasian Century. Just economics alone. India has a history of spreading religion (Hinduism and Buddhism far and wide but never took lands. China has a history of trading along the Silk Route as far as Africa and also never took lands. Europeans spread Christianity, conquered and colonized far and wide. Both India and China are victims of colonization. Yet, the West talks about values. Russia is fighting for its existence as NATO expands right up to its borders.
China and India have border disputes, a legacy left by the colonial master. They can resolve them. China and Russia had even more extensive and complicated border disputes but were resolved. Russia can play the mediator.
Both India and China and post-Soviet Russia have a history of non interference with the internal affairs of other countries. They will not form alliance but will cover for each other if bullied. They will take care of their internal affairs without interference from the West.
Will India join the West or to engage with its Eurasian neighbours to develop the biggest market together? In any case, as the climate change affects the Himalaya, India and China (and Pakistan) must collaborate.
I look forward to a more peaceful world than what the West is now doing with regime changes, sanctions and wars fought almost every year for the last 100 years.
Let's hope it will be a reality coming through.

One critical point did not mention, was Vietnam back in the 70, wanted to invade and occupy Cambodia, Thailand, Laos and all the way to Malaysia and Singapore. It was historically fact. Without China's help to teach Vietnam a lesson, Vietnam will now be the biggest big bully in South East Asia. Many South East Asian do remember this part of the history. However, when Singapore government mentioned this history few years ago, Vietnam got very angry. And wanted Singapore to apologize. But fact is fact, nothing to deny. Thankfully with the China's help, Vietnam toned down and focus on economy rather than trying to eat up South East Asia.
By the way, Cambodia is still very wary of Vietnam, including Thailand.
China should learn a lesson too just like Vietnam did.

As a side note: China only has problems with some countries in South East Asia because of the islands ( Philippines, Vietnam, kind of Malaysia and that's it ). The rest of South East Asian countries would do their own stuff with China. Then, China has a influence in Vietnam in their culture because they are similar (it was more strong in the past with Tv shows, films, songs, etc.) and Malaysia because a sizable minority of Chinese with have influence in its economy. So I'd say it will natural to see more of these treaties in the future......

The determining factor here is not language, culture or ethnicity. It is ideology.
The Chinese Communist Party has an expansionist ideology and anyone who comes in their way is a rival (or a future rival).. it’s just a matter of time. Even Russia and Pakistan or even N Korea for that matter are not immune to this ideology.

What's wrong China build a Naval Base in Cambodia. In fact China should also build not only a Military Air Base but also a camp to station their troops there to safeguard her security. Most Pacific Islands also are requesting China Presence to safeguard and protect their security in case the US IMPERIALISM wants to change the regime.
The original base was built by the US just enough to be serviceable for the US stationed there until they went away. Obviously the cambodians wanted a modern port/naval base built for them for free and all it takes is give the chinese special docking rights, not a bad deal for them.

The first time PRC participated in the Olympics was in 1952. They won just one medal and boycotted all subsequent Olympics until 1984. On their comeback, they ranked 4th in the medal tally and in recent years consistently finish second. The Chinese always come prepared. They are the USSR that never came to be. The global DOMINATION of the DRAGON is INEVITABLE. It might even be sooner than expected. It is bound to come after Taiwan and Tawang. India needs to PULL ITS SOCKS. Chinese have very poor army. You can not hold any territory without excellent ground force. The recent Ukraine war is an example. Chinese lost more than Indians in Galwan even when they came prepared against unarmed Indians. I see very remote possibility of Chinese being able to fight India. Remember that if they fight full fledged war with India, we will go back to pre 90s economically, but Chinese may go back to Mao era, they have so many enemies.

A very fine presentation on a topic about we are unlikely to learn much. Many thanks. You could also have said something about the likely impact on India, though this naval base is no in the Bay of Bengal. Never underestimate the persuasive power of Chinese. Who knows? Thailand or Malaysia might allow passage to the chinese through territory to reach the Bay of Bengal.
China and India have border disputes and political tensions. There's no reason to be a western lapdog by making false allegations. Both China and India have been colonized by the west and have never been colonizers.
Irony is after facing so much security challenges, Modi govt is not increasing defense budget, equipment-machinery-infrastructure procurement and development, theateraization, R&D etc.

It will be interesting to see what our govt plans for the security as well as development of Andaman and Nicobar Islands for trade, since it is geographically located near to the Gulf of Thailand where this port is. Andaman islands can be a part of the trade route coming into Indo- Pacific if infrastructure is developed properly. Security wise too it is very important for India as it is strategically located. Hope the islands are given due attention.

I think there is no secret base in Cambodia. Cambodia does not have depth see base for huge ships to visit us. China just came to help building it and leaves. Cambodia has been exploited by neighbors for centuries. Many broken ships of boat are sent to overseas to be fixed. If Cambodia has a depth sea base, it allows many huge ships to visit, reducing costs and improving Cambodian economy.
Can you see a large island near Cambodia on the map? That is an island of Vietnam, Hun Sen gave that island to Vietnam in 1982.
