Thank you from the bottom of my heart, man. I suffered a lot until I watched this video and my problem was solved
I chased the EXACT same noise for months. It got progressively worse. Over the past two years I've rebuilt the entire front end including sway bar links. After seeing this video I took a chance on another set. Low and behold, it worked. I had the EXACT same issue, bad ball on the sway bay end on the drivers side. Last time I did this I bought cheap ones so it must have been bad from the start. I bought better this time. Thanks for making this.
I wish someone would make a great sway bar link…until then these will work. I’m glad the video helped out!
Where did you purchase yours
@@RickESpanish Rock Auto.
working on Mopars for many years, whenever possible MOOG parts, repeat whenever possible MOOG parts!
Thank you guys so much!!! I think this will fix my sons problem!!
Thank you for this!!
This is the video I needed to watch. I have the same car with AWD but a 2018. The noise started happening after 75k miles. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s my sway bar links. Thanks for sharing this! This is very helpful.
I was a little surprised to have to replace my sway bar links twice so far…but like I said the first set were cheap ones from Oreilly’s. So far so good on these new grease-able links…it’s an easy job, good luck and thanks for watching!!!
@@Jojoandsonsgarage thanks again! I made sure to make note of replacing the sway bar links with the second set you bought. I found them at Oreillys and plan on buying them this week. The price is very reasonable.
I rented one and I loved it. I must purchase one!!!!!
I tell ya I really wanted the tire burning rear wheel drive V8, but for my climate the AWD made more sense, and boy does it go through the snow…it’s a good decent looking car in my opinion, and it’s a buyers market for low mileage used ones…go get one!!!
My friend I've changed my inner and outer tie rods yesterday morning. Took it for a test drive just like you did and found the problem to be there just like you did I was just as frustrated believe me.itool off my lower control arm fed and it to was very worn. After replacing everything and getting an alignment done I still have a small clunking noise very small so I did in fact remove most of it but now you got me thinking that it is in fact the sway bar link!
I too did in fact the same thing you did I bought cheap links, but now I will upgrade hopefully that is the problem. Thanks for the vid. You have a good helper to help out to .
Thanks for watching and good luck on your 300!
Awesome video
Thanks!
Nice ride
It’s a total HOSS approved ride
I have an early model 2006 5.7 that has had this problem i even took it to a shop and they couldn't find it. I will definitely have to try this. And report back before i do my shocks.
Check it out!!! It’s crazy how loud worn away bar links can be!
Hey fantastic video, 2010 rwd 300 here with same noise. I replaced the sway bar bushings and no improvement at all. Inspected end links and zero movement. As you did, I will replace end links and hopefully fix the issue. Did you have car on Jack stands and then use Jack under control arm to help line up the link ends? Thank you and cheers
I did have the car up on jack stands…I disconnected both sway bar links so I could line them up with the sway bar and tighten those suckers down tight. Glad you got something out of this video!
Thank you for this .
But i think when you want to check the rubber of suspension parts, you must unloaded the car
Thank u❤
My same exact issue I am experiencing. The sway bar was changed a year and half ago and now I am hearing the same exact noise on the driver side. One shop said they hear nothing yea ok, the dealer said they don’t know where it’s coming from after I told them where to check. So frustrating
As I showed in the video, the sway bar links didn’t observe any play until they were taken off…I’ve put on a ton of noise free miles since I installed these. I’d have the repair shop remove the links and check each joint for play. Good luck and thanks for watching
2008 hemi-Not a noisy rattle or clunk but I get a frequent silent vibration that feels like I'm running over highway Rumble Strips...any ideas , Thanks
Center drive shaft support?
Wouldn't you want to check with the suspension free? Cause that is a lot of weight to try and move. At 5:47 I see the sway bar link lower bushing looks pretty bad..
I was trained on a set up with an upper and lower ball joint to check for play loaded…yes the sway bar end links ended up being bad, but I would never had guessed it would make that much noise
had this problem before and if you want to take out end links of equasion take end links off car and see if it makes noise
That’s correct
Eh I did all that replaced the sway bar bushings and put btr sway bar links and I stil have that annoying clunk.. I have the 2005 touring rwd I haven’t replaced the lower control arms but I’ll take it to a mechanic n see wat they tell me ..
RWD set up is WAY different then this AWD is. Super common failure on your front end is the tension rod and or bushings…good luck!!!
@@Jojoandsonsgarage yeah n thanks
my 2008 chrysler has this same problem its so loud on bumps but nothing was moving
I’d try removing the sway bar links and checking them off the car for end play
Just do the bushings and links. It's not a bad job overall.
i have change everything under the front, still made the same noise.... iam beginning to think it has something to do with the break caliper, cause when i step on the break it seems to be a lot less sometimes even stops
Interesting!!! Good luck
All them dodges do that after a while. I nee this in 2014 when I had a charger
Ummmm. It sure seemed like i still heard the same noise after the link swap.
I’ve probably put on 20k miles since this repair without any noise…thanks for watching
Did he just say chessis 😮
Yup he said it. 😂
Same setup as RWD.
False
@@Jojoandsonsgarage Should have said similar. Only difference is the lower control arm/front tension strut is a different design, but same function...same sway bar setup, same upper control arm/strut spring setup too.
