I use 180 degree thermostat with Diablo tune with fans adjusted. Cruising highway I stay at 185 and off highway I stay under 190. Definitely a good combination. I have 2007 300c 5.7 with 170k. I changed
    Front suspension
    Motor mounts
    Alternator
    Water pump twice
    Drive shaft coupler
Rear subframe bushings and rear control arms
    Basically rear suspension with axels
    O2 sensors
There is more but all that in a 3yr span
    Mobile 1 5w20 every 4k
    She's so solid now

Good you have the fans adjusted with the thermostat, a lot of people just throw in 180 thermostat and wonder why their temps still get to 200+ lol

One of the things you want to do is have a good, knowledgeable, certified mechanic to check your car. I see too much DIY guessing online when it comes to car owners and throwing parts at problems. I wish I still had the paperwork from years ago of having this resolved on my 2005 Chrysler, but it was not the strut mounts nor struts themselves. It was another hardware component in the lower front-end suspension. Also, when you take it to a knowledgeable Certified mechanic to check the front end. Don't make suggestions to the mechanic as to what you think it is. Just let them thoroughly check it.

I have the Chrysler 300 C 2007. I have owned mine for almost 7 years and bought it used. I have had to replace ALL my door handles bc they just don't hold well (also have 3 rough boys). In this last year though I have had to replace my water pump, radiator, some sensors, and the black plastic pieces under the front end you showed. That side you say you have the gap is where my bumper refuses to stay in place. Great car though. I fell asleep at the wheel on the highway and hit a concrete median and it held solid with just a popped tire and a paint chip. Love the video.

one of my my rear fender skirts are loose, and flutter around sometimes making noise, the skirts are held in with push plugs,., Im thinking of removing the loose push plugs, and try new ones or put a screw in there. if u start hearing noise from the back, check the fender skirts first.
the only other thing that went bad so far on my 06 is the hood struts went flat.. they are easy to change and not expensive.. 25 bucks for the set.

quick piece of advice, u gotta cut / edit your video down to get to the topic of the video sooner, then giving like a 2 or 3 word explaination of what eachg issue is like one door handle, two parking brake, three short runner valve, etc... cuz this is a good video but requires patience . basically just go thru it and edit out any time you say a filler word 'um' or 'uh' anything like that, edit out any time you repeat something you already explained good, make sure the pacing of the first 10-20 seconds is muuuch faster to let us the viewers know if these 4 issues are things we are interested in also.
or at the very minimum, u could skip the edits i suggested and simply put like an index in the description with timestamps. like 00:01 - intro , 00:35 backstory, 01:41 issue #1 , 02:67 issue #2, etc 35k views is a LOT for a diy car advice video.. i guarantee u could 10x those views if u whittle it down a little

As for suspension, if you want it to last, absolutely replace all bushings with polyurethane bushings. I've never had an issue since.
Don't know if this is common, but the ignition switch goes bad on keyless entry where you go to start and nothing till you keep trying till it does connect and start.
Recall on the passenger air bag system also. Can cause death if not fixed.

What’s the cost of ownership for these the same year as yours. How much money should I expect to spend a year on maintenance and repairs etc?

    • @bentonrp
      @bentonrp 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

I bought mine in 2016 (2007 Limited 3.5L no Hemi), and since then, the transmission is the big one.
They just didn't build it to support the size of the car, I guess. 2 to 3 thousand something dollars.
Other than that, you just gotta be one of those guys to kind of baby these cars if u want it to be sturdy & reliable, and it will be.
Little things will break no matter what, but the other major things for me to include, along with the tranny, like...
engine parts (note its poorly designed engine rocker arms), timing belt, and front-end suspension
should honestly run you a little under a thousand every year for any of these kind of cars.
Those 4 things I mentioned are very common problems (or just weird maintenance, in the timing belt's case) for the 1st generation Chrysler 300's.
I've had mine for 7 years, so the less than $7,000 I've personally spent on mine, had included routine maintenance plus radiator replacement, a new starter motor, broken alternator, etc.
He's right when he says these are reliable and dependable, but that's if you treat it gently and maintain it right: Which is not everybody's thing.
I love this model and I love babying a favorite car, so it's my thing. Most people's thing is treat it bad and it will still treat you good, like an old Toyota or Honda.
I've had an old Toyota Camry and and a Honda Accord. Yes, they were a bit more dependable than the 300 I now adore, but not impressively so. ⚜️

Where was this at lol? That’s a super good price if it’s true. As well as how is it running? Cause I spent $8k for my 07 hemi with 120k and was said to have a rebuilt motor, 1 owner. It was way out the way and an old guy had it so it is in great condition. Only issue he just rebuilt the motor. Since last June. I already had to replace motor mounts, oil pump, and alternator. The mechanic ain’t cheap either lol. But so far still running strong. I just don’t have a good tune or any enhancements yet.

Other then that I haven’t had major problems with it. I take care of it and keep my oil change. Its a good car and perfectly fine to be a 07 and it’s 2023

Yes I said it I’m sorry for blowin up your comment section but if your car was previously owned by a little old gray haired lady well congratulations 🎉for the body but I’d be very careful not to overheat it too many times but cars with previous owners who got into the petal within reason and didn’t try to burn their tires at every stop light or parking lot and the car is still running strong you got a good one my 05 still running like a champ 200k later I believe first owner bought it new gave it to his son and it proved to be too much car and I would be the 3rd owner with the first things I noticed and changed asap was valve cover gaskets, water pump , plugs , alternator, egr valve , &….suspension ohhhh yeah fuel pump

Very decent vehicle, but this issues are true. If you’re handy & know how to replace parts yourself it’s ok otherwise it’ll be costly at the shop. Other than that I loved this car.
