The circular clip comes off the shaft without all the prying if you simply grip it at the edge with waterpump (large) pliers and rotate it counter-clockwise. The tabs are slightly angled, so it will spin off like a nut. This trick saved me a ton of time and effort.
Omg 😮 I ❤ your expertise! So simple and easy. Yet, the ultimate solution for changing out those useless flat tires. Thanks 😊 for sharing. I’m a woman and it was easy enough for me 😊
Thank you so much! This did the trick. I WD-40'd then used the claw of the hammer to remove. Hard part was finding the replacement locking washer at either Lowe's or Home Depot. Found them on Amazon as key words: Internal Tooth Starlock Washers, Push On Locking Washers, Speed Clips, Fasteners.
U can reuse the push nut. I used channel locks to deform the edges instead of a hammer and then bent it back with a small adjustable wrench while holding the other side w channel locks so it is too tight to slide over the axle. Find a socket that will clear the 1/2or 5/8” axle and hammer it over. The teeth will lock
Thanks for the video. I saw another video that helped me out also. Using a pair of vice grips. Using a pair of plyers made it easier for me. Squeezing the washer distorted it and made it a lot easier to then pry off.
They dont sell em any more that i know of the lock washer i just put small clamps on shaft works real good just tighten that puppy aint going no where 👍
Ok so I did what you did and removed that little metal piece which allowed me to remote the tire but the metal piece broke in the process. So now I can’t secure the new tire. Suggestions?
Are you talking about the washer that i removed with the hammer? I think you can find them at home depot just bring the broken piece and show it to an associate .
1:08 He put the wheel on the wrong orientation. That portion should be at the back side. How can you inflate the tire if the tire valve is on the back of the wheel?
a little too talkative for my taste, but extremely helpful!
Why would I bore you with bla bla bla when you can see it for yourself,
Appreciate the coment

Genius. Thank you for not talking for an hour to explain 2 steps. LOL
I'm 63 and I did it with a small crow bar, a hammer, and WD-40. Thank you. I replaced my flat tire with a "no flat" variety. (However, I'm whooped!)
You go girl !!!!!!!

Thanks for the video. I saw another video that helped me out also. Using a pair of vice grips. Using a pair of plyers made it easier for me. Squeezing the washer distorted it and made it a lot easier to then pry off.

1:08 He put the wheel on the wrong orientation. That portion should be at the back side. How can you inflate the tire if the tire valve is on the back of the wheel?
No inner tube . Solid wheels.
found this video after i just got frustrated and bust to SH@# the entire tire and lost the fixtures
Dude, You put the air stem on the inside.
You put the tire on backwards.
Chingon👍
That is a wheel removal. Not a tire
Really doesn't matter which side the valve stem is on, but normally on the outside
There is no valve on this type tire. Its solid rubber type
Where is the origin of your name Abbasid?
chahekoo chha
I would have put the new wheel with tit part down. Nice job though
It's on backward!
Broke my hammer....
Obviously you don't know the difference between a whale and a tire.
Wheel, stupid auto correct
