    Thanks dude Took me 3 videos to get to someone (you) who actually slowed down to demo the cotter pin - everyone else sped thru it. Not everyone has used a cotter pin and for some this is our first dolly so your video slowing down to actually show how to secure the wheels was a big help 👍

      I'm really glad that I could help! You are absolutely right and that's exactly why I broke this down. Thank you for the feedback. 🙌🤙

    Thanks for explaining so clearly. Your demo has been invaluable to me - I didn’t have a clue. Update: After watching your video I have successfully changed my sack cart wheels and if I need to do it again I will have the confidence and the right tools for the job. Big thumbs up to you.

    Hi.... when the new wheel packaging says "2.25 offset" how can I know if this is what my current dolly uses? I see most of the new dolly wheels say this but i dont want to buy the wrong thing.

    I have the wheel that uses bolts and nuts, will this same replacement tire work?

      I would have to see the set up that you have. I'm not familiar with it.

    All of you people show how easy it is to replace a tire WITH A COTTER PIN! Please show how to replace a tire without a pin. Getting those caps off is a misery!

      Hey Jack, no need to get upset. Dollys with caps are just as easy to repair and replace. Once we have a dolly in need of repairs, we will make a video.

      @@StumpfMovingandStorage Thank you, I would appreciate it. I have bought and returned two sets of tires to Harbor Freight. My Dolly does not have cotter pins and the tires that I now have does not seem to have any way to be secured to the axle.

      Have you thought about drilling a small hole through the axle for a cotter pin? We have done that in the past, when the caps get lost, and it works great.

      @@StumpfMovingandStorage I appreciate the suggestion and yes I have considered that. (it is probably the easiest solution) I might not be handy enough or have the right tools to drill into a round metal spool. It may just be easier to throw the dolly away, although it is relatively new, than to try to fix it.

      Before you throw it away, try using a pair of channel locks to remove the cap. (I've done this in the past and it works well.) Use the channel locks to spinn the cap back and fourth wile pulling it off. This takes some effort, but works well. Once off, replace the wheels. Depending upon the type of wheel you use, you may need spacers. Save the cap and reuse it. Place the cap back on and use a hammer to tap it back into place.

    Appreciate your video for a simple tire swap you have a video that might show what is necessary if you have unknown Wheels and no axle and a possible total rebuild of a axle from raw round barstock 1/2"
    or 5/8"stock

      I'm sorry but that's pretty complicated. We would probably purchase a new one if that much of a repair is needed.

    Can we use wider tires?

    • @StumpfMovingandStorage
      @StumpfMovingandStorage  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends upon the axle of your dolly. You will need to measure your axle to see if it will fit. Make sure the wheels won't rub!

    Fair and square; what you do if the wheel is stuk on The Axel due to dirt/rost etc?

    • @StumpfMovingandStorage
      @StumpfMovingandStorage  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You can use WD40 to loosen the wheel and clean it out. It will also lubricate the bearings.
