Rebecca brought up someone looking at the camera from the office and it did happen this episode. Jellinsky looked right at the camera exactly how they would in the office, after Q was trying to hype him to keep him in the sweat challenge. He truly is a legend.

Something to keep in mind in winner analysis: when the CBS logo popped up before 45 would start, the logo would be wearing a red buff, and Dee the winner was on the red tribe. This season the logo popped up again and it had an orange buff…

Worth noting that regardless of her appearance that Nami is legitimately a.good charact one piece. Has an interesting and emotional backstory. She also has good dynamics with her crew and other characters.

That first boot season is looking more and more lucrative
I think there’s a way you could hack this SWEAT challenge. The holes in the bucket appear to be at about the same height, so you could put your buff around the bucket like you’re wearing it on your head, and you can try and slow the water from leaking and keep more in. You can also wring out your buff once it’s all wet for some extra water.
I would also try to tag team it. One person gets water from the ocean and meets the other halfway and they exchange buckets, that way one person does the incline from the beach while the other does the running on the soft sand, both are challenging
I thought about the tag team too. And cover all the holes of one bucket with their buffs then place that bucket inside the other bucket. That will definitely block the water from leaking out.

@@ea-ee5ow - No they weren't, because they tried covering them. Quit lying. Ingenuity is part of the game, they can't forbid it. There is no way you could accomplish that task in the time given without plugging holes.

the buff around and finger cover the bottom hole, potentially good. slide bucket in bucket, if the holes are in the same spot on each bucket this will fully plug all side holes on the inside bucket and just a bottom hole to cover your fingers, potentially good meet halfway and trade off the single bucket. Plenty of debris/twigs around could have plugged the holes with that too maybe. Many options. The rest of the team could have helped with cleaning up their path too as I think Jelensky did complain it was rough but maybe hes soft.

Yoooooooo jalinski was a great character. He was wild and we need people like him on the show. Bad at the game but super entertaining to root against.
I loved him too! not the best player but in a hilarious way. Too chill and cool to do literally anything.
He's right where he belongs. Imagine being notified that you're going to be on the show - all your Vegas friends are making odds charts and taking bets. Everyone is drinking and sharing strategy ideas - be sure to do this, be sure not to do that, etc. The tension builds as the day draws near. Then, you get to the islands and completely blow it so bad you have the whole country laughing at you. If there was a top ten Survivor losers, this guy would be near the top.

HAHA, I woke up this morning and realized I said the wrong artist. No joke.
Grew up watching big brother us (from uk) so I decided to watch traitors and ended up watching ur breakdown on it and realised it would be nice to continue watching ur breakdown instead for survivor. I’ve always watched character and plot analysis of survivor but I’ve never sat down and watched a season when it’s airing and haven’t been doing that for most shows cause I’m wary the season will underwhelming but would say ur videos single handed made me change my mind as even if the season is underwhelming I’ll at-least like the breakdowns.
So we're not gonna talk about Liz being allergic to almost everything in the world? lol

90 minutes is the most satisfying length for an episode, not too little and not too much
60 minutes was never enough, but 2 hours is actually a little too much
this was a great premiere but past the 90 minute mark i was ready for it to be over

The hardest part of this premiere was figuring out everybody’s name! Some of these people have very confusing names! Especially the one who named after the second planet in our solar system! I Think!

Usually there is a "goodbye" or waving or the voted out contestant looking back, but this vote had none of that as if everyone expected this outcome & had nothing else to add to it. Although, I will agree with him on 1 thing based on what I was taught in elementary school: Single=1, Pair/Couple=2, Few/Handful=3 to 5, Several=6 to 11, Dozen=12, & Many=13 or more.

1:22:19 Oh I knew as soon as Jelinsky threw the hourglass that Jeff was gonna lay into him. Jeff decides which hourglasses can be broken on Survivor, no one else! No but in all seriousness, I figured we were gonna get the Jeff from the final challenge of 45 when Jake broke the challenge. And at least Jake was crying and apologetic about it. I was not at all surprised when Jeff seemingly put his thumb on the scale at tribal council.
About survivor video games, the best one is hands down Outlaster on Roblox lol

Canada adds another 13 "states" (provinces) but theyve only hit 4 meaning in total we're missing 13: Yukon, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Alberta, Manitoba, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, Newfoundland , Alaska, New Mexico, North Dakota and West Virginia

As a Canadian, I'm not surprised that per usual Canada usually means Toronto haha. Maybe Montreal and Vancouver. I was pleasantly surprised to see Kane was from Saskatchewan with a hometown of Moose Jaw at that.

I haven't correctly predicted a winner from the first episode of a season since Season 34...so now I've begun predicting a Top Five who I think will make it to the finale episode. Right now, that group of five is: Bhanu, Tiffany, Tevin, Maria, and Hunter. Out of those five, Bhanu would be my prediction based on who I think is receiving a "winner's edit."
Also, when Jelinsky was on the Journey with Tevin and Maria, he probably would have been better off sticking with the lie/deceit...despite Maria's threat. And then go back to his tribe, tell them the truth about what happened, and throw Maria under the bus as a strong player who was attempting to intimidate him.
Or he could have come back after blowing it completely and told his tribe: there were three cards on the table - one lose a vote and two extra votes, I got the lose a vote.

He also could have done exactly the same thing but just LIED to his tribe. Tell them you tried to convince her and she picked you anyway and you lost your vote… is baffling how easy it would be to lie or even tell a half truth 🤣

Love you mention my idea i had like 4 season ago, have jeff be wearing an immunity idol around his neck and if someone asks for it he just gives it to them. It would be funny to just be constantly taunting them plus they would have to ask in front of everyone
Until this season, there had only been one castaway from the state of Mississippi, Darrah in Pearl Islands, and there are two castaways this season either currently from or originally from MS

Totally random, but I like trying to find celebrity lookalikes (or jokingly their discount versions) in Survivor and it helps me remember them in the beginning. There’s been plenty but my favorite ones have been Hunter Ellis as Tom Cruise, Devon Pinto as Adam Driver, and of course Gary Hawkins as Gary Hogeboom… The rest I can think of haven’t quite been so spot on and that’s the same for this season, but this season, I see discount Andrew Garfield, Amy Jo Johnson, and Anne Hathaway.

SWEAT: Instructions said to fill the urns. So, at the beginning when they are empty, drag the empty container to the water front of the shore and fill it there. The rules never said they had to walk all the way down the beach to fill them ;)

I think you’re a little bit jaded, Wesley. I like the concept of the “journey” a lot, it actually relates to a survivor skill (lying, reading people, thinking on your feet). It also wasn’t LUCK based, like anonymously risking or keeping your vote safe, everyone had an active choice to make in how they interacted with others and played the “game”.
HOWEVER, it would have been better for this to be culminated at the end of a hike or after some time getting to know each other a little. I think a future journey should just be a shared idol clue. No one loses a vote but the other people there know you might have the idol and you get to communicate a little with the other tribes. Simple!

RE: Just break the box open - this JUST happened in the current season of Survivor Australia happening right now... the whole thing was someone on the other tribe found a key to give to someone to open their "treasure box"... contestant finds the treasure box and like same epeisode or next epsidoe just decides to smash the box open without ever receiving the key. I had to rewatch the episode to be like, no wait like what??? I was shocked pikachu that producers allowed him to do that, but Survivor Australia has always been a little more laissez faire vs Survivor America.
I think they could get away with it, just like the candle wax thing.

bhanu is getting a sympathy edit, he’s sort of showing his emotions and the edit is making us feel a bit bad for him (also he’s narrating a lot of it)
venus has been immediately compared to parvarti which is, in my book, a sign.
tevin got the opening monologue and went on the journey. he has gotten a lot of personality shown so early on.
tiffany got an idol. she is gonna go far
Interesting - i had a different read with Bhanu.. whilst he got lots of content and wasnt in any danger, he was slightly over the top and was shown to be quite emotional. I could see him continuing to be too emotional - the ntos already previews him yelling at Jess in the challenge (again! He did this subtly in ep 1). Jess is such an obvious boot, but i wonder if purple next go to tribal and bhanu is so anti jess that it flips and he goes home for being too emotional etc. bhanu as an early boot would make sense to me from the edit perspective too. They tend to give a 2nd-4th boot a lot of OTT content in ep 1. Brandon s45 brad and jd s41 s44 matthew,
I also thought coming out of ep 1 that hes clearly number 4 at best out of the 5 left in his tribe.
Kenzie tiff and Q look like the dominant and tight 3, they were originally with jelinsky but swapped bhanu in for jelinsky… but those are the 3 that know about tiffs idol - bhanu does not, theyd be dumb to boot Q early now with no jelinsky, tiff has an idol and kenzie is positioned super well.

Hilarious interview. The guy is super nice and a good sport. One of the best characters who got taken out first. Mostly a victim of bad luck for a guy who stuck his neck out with the sweat challenge that is probably not winnable then pulling the skull card. Tough break

So far i like Moriah and Charlie on green tribe, i originally thought Ben would go far or even win but i think hes too nice and likeable so he'll be seen as a threat. Soda, Randen and Hunter on orange. I like Bhanu Kenzie and Tiffany, i can see Bhanu playing too hard and Kenzie being too likable to win. Maria on green is my sleeper pick. Moriah, Ben, Soda, Maria and Randen is my top 5

Man I was kind of nervous they were going to keep that quitter on their team. Haven't felt this good about a first boot in a long time, usually I feel a little bad for them.
No, I agree with what Rebecca was saying (and I don't think you actually understood what she was saying...):
Since Jeff is *heavily* involved in casting, he *must* know what the castmembers want to be called. So, logically, the whole asking/announcing of nicknames on previous matchats has *always* been a farce. Why would they bother doing that part if they knew they weren't going to be showing any of the matchat? It's unnecessary, because Jeff already knows.
I know Jeff knows all of this, him asking them as if he didn't know was how they introduced us to the show. In Mike Bloom's article about the Survivor 46 mat chat, he confirmed that David did indeed ask Jeff on the mat to call him Jelinsky.

Bhanu being in yalls top 3 shocked me. I think I can see him being a fan favorite but he’s definitely not winning. Not game savvy and is out of the main group right away bc he doesn’t fit in unfortunately. I can see him not meshing well with people and getting voted out as a result or being an easy boot in the middle of the game
jeff saying he will never have villains again literally obliterated my hope for the future of survivor, ill still be watching but the new era seasons are always such a slog to get through, i enjoy these podcasts more than the episodes
Just because they aren’t casting villains doesn’t mean there won’t be conflict going forward.

Why do people care about Wendell and Dee sleeping together? What tedious moralizing. If the objection is that Wendell was in a committed relationship--not that that's any of our business, and since no one's referring to this woman as his wife it couldn't have been _that_ strong a commitment--then it's Wendell who broke faith with her. Dee didn't step out on anyone.
It only came up because he publicly addressed it otherwise it was just a rumor and I wouldn't talk about it.

I just find it deeply disappointing that this such mean-spirited gossip can get to that point to begin with, and even more disappointing that Dee’s popularity is suffering so much over something so silly.
Then again, I’ve always been of the belief that Survivor vets shouldn’t put any stock into their online popularity to begin with. The clucking of a bunch of judgmental hens won’t be able to stop Dee from spending her prize money.
The contestants have personalities that are almost to big. It makes it very difficult to watch

Yeah, the game based on Fremch Survivor isnt very good. There's also some game mechanics on that show that are weird and dodgy, which does not help.
So like you, while watching and hearing Jelensky interchange 7 and several, I thought what is this idiot talking about. After the episode I google are several and 7 related. A page came up that had words for each number and low and behold several was the specific word for 7 according to that.
Maybe it’s just me but a lot of the confessionals from the players sounded very boastful
