Liz and Q were top tier casting this season. They made every episode they were in, hilarious and entertaining TV. So many memes.

I don’t know if that makes the win controversial or what. You know? Because if she didn’t, Ben would’ve given it to Charlie.
@@itacryan I do think it makes her win controversial in a way, but not in the typical way. Past controversial winners are seen as undeserving. With Kenzie, a lot of people do think she deserved it while also feeling super confused as to how Charlie lost which is where I’m at. Usually controversial winners get lots of hate and backlash but in this case it is the bitter juror Maria getting all of the heat
Yeah like comparing her to the season 41 winner at least we got to see her full journey. I think she has her full gameplay on display which is a plus for us viewers.

I feel bad for Kenzie. Her win was overshadowed by Maria not voting for Charlie to win and all the drama related to that
I wanted Charlie to win but I think Kenzie deserved to be acknowledged more
Once Tiff was gone I knew if Kenzie makes the final 3 she wins. and I don't think I was the only person who felt that way so the fact that a lot of the decisions is about Maria is insane It's not like Maria could have won she pissed off almost everyone. and Charlie was fantastic But Kenzie just had the best social game
She won a million dollars and will be okay.

Notice Yam Yam & Kenzie both came from the original purple tribes and they’re both salon owners and both won the game.

In the season full of crazy blindsides, stupid plays, big and chaotic characters social player that made friends and supported others - Kenzie, wins. Poetic
She narrated the whole season we got to see her dog her social game into every player. Fantastic winner

I find it very impressive that Bhanu told Liz and Ben that Kenzie was the mastermind and she was still able to last till the end. She only got one vote because Ben accidentally voted her 😭

Her journey was brutal, the fact that she was on this disastrous tribe and still won is incredible to me. Reminds me of Denise from 25
i think comparing denise to maria was a false equivalency. imo, kenzie emulated denise in many more ways... small in stature, was on a disastrous tribe in which her social connections and early alliances kept her in the game (in which her tribemates knew her social game would sail her to final three/winner status), always having hope while also being pragmatic, and taking the time to stroke the jury's egos in order to not leave a sour taste in their mouths when it came time to final tribal.
24:16 You know Q actually predicted Ben making it to the end here he literally said he’s gonna play so under the radar, but bring it out at the end and he did. He won that last immunity challenge.

If you think about it, Bhanu was right about Kenzie. Mermaid being a social and likeable player and dragon being a force, that knows what to say, when to stay back and what moves should she make
I know people didn't like this season because of her win but I liked it when she won. It tricked me out and gave me suspense. Honestly, this season was so underrated and did not deserve as much hate as it got.

Best season in a while. Not a lot of twists, cast that carried the season which some memorable characters I’d want to see back, and chaos. Fix the first 4 episodes being so boring to watch the same tribe go to tribal lose and I’d take this season every year.
For me the only bad part about the first few episodes was Bhanu cringing up the place when he was doing his pitty plays.
It was a blessing in disguise. We got to see the winner’s game early on a lot.
Venus Q and Liz made this season and I’m so happy with the Kenzie win
Tevin got some laughs out of me too! Great characters this season.

I said this on Idoled Out’s post-cast assessment video, but Bhanu was either this really tragic narrator who was in over his head and never could really get his foot in the game or he was a mess that certain people think represents everything wrong with modern Survivor. He has to be the most divisive character of the season because of how much of a trainwreck he was
i’d been saying since episode 2, if they don’t eliminate this social butterfly in the pre merge, she’s gonna win. and she did. it’s as if these players don’t watch Survivor. stop bringing the social butterfly to the end and then are shocked when they win 😂

30:36 I don’t know if you saw it or not, but Venus did an interview about this Liz outburst and production cut out a lot of what she said apparently she went on the tangent saying how she’s so much richer than everybody and how she was better and a bunch of other stuff and that Venus kind of took back her support even though she praises her, which is weird. I don’t know.

Authenticity requires knowing what your supposed to be authentic about. Bhanu had **no** business being on the show. Is he a sweet guy? Probably, but as a contestant he just annoyed the f*ck out of his tribemates and he'd do it again if he was given another chance.
46 has one of the worst pre merges, a great post merge, then somehow falls flat on its face at the finale.
If only Randen hadn’t been medically evacuated, then we’d have been spared from the worst of Bhanu
I really think that last episode was the tipping point for a lot of people, him on his knees begging Tiff to save him legit made me skip ahead
@@XanderMatthews-nv9zf yeah that’s kinda what happened with me, I skipped all of the yanu camp stuff because I was so sick of Bhanu crying like a bitch. Really brought down the season. And then hearing Jeff say they’d cast him again is just so disrespectful
I'd argue the fake idol was Villian and Dumb. Absolutely no benefit for Kenzie to do that in a tribe of 5 premerge. If Tiffany did it to conceal her idol that's one thing. If Kenzie did it to trick the rest of the tribe into voting out Bhanu that's another. But there was literally 0 benefits for her doing that other than making her and Tiffany look like jerks. You know, before the Q and Maria show took over.
Honestly I'm legit just fed up with immunity idols at this point. After the real and fake pairs in season 44 and then everyone just wasting their idols this last season, just get rid of it entirely. The Amazing Race got rid of the Non Elimination Legs, why not this? I want to see people be forced into the social game more rather than being given freebies to the next round.

Absolutely. She was really negative pre-merge for a bunch of stuff like that, since there's legitimately no strategic or game benefit for a lot of things beyond "wanting to be an asshole here".
@@XanderMatthews-nv9zf an easier way they could have handled the Shot in the Dark would be to have 2 people convince Jess they are voting with her, making Jess's vote the on ecrucial vote needed (in her mind) to save her game. It's less mean than a fake idol, we don't see a villian edot of the tribe making fun of Jess for not finding the idol because she's pribably exahusted/dehydrated, and also think about this. Q just gives her the idol in the end. Why? If i were Jess i'd know 100% to play my SITD because he's never been shown interacting with me.
I genuinely enjoyed this season so much. After Tiffs vote I was hoping it was Kenzie that would win!!

If Jess goes in the first episode, I think Yanu actually has a chance at winning immunity in episode 2. Absolutely could’ve changed the entire game from that point on

They film 24/7, so they have the footage. The show just didn't plan more challenges/twists like they normally would if they knew they had extra time to burn.

She was a bully at Yanu, and didn’t do a single strategic play after the merge. The only thing she has going is social game, which still seems fake, and Charlie was just as good, if not better socially

Fully disagree on labeling ANY part of Kenzie's treatment of Bhanu as anything other than Villainous. Was Bhanu someone who shouldn't have been on Survivor? Yes. Was Bhanu legitimately having mental health breakdowns and anxiety attacks? Also yes. Did he deserve to be CONSTANTLY mocked and cruelly ridiculed for it by Kenzie even after he was gone? Hell no. Her treatment of him turned me off of her completely, and made her "support" of Ben feel fake.
Everything Kenzie said about Bhanu was true. It was rude, but still true. That doesn't mean her relationship with Ben was fake. She just got tired of babying a man 12 years older than her, but at least she apologized for snapping.

Casts make or break a season. Which is why this season is a bad one for me. I never had a season where I didn’t like anyone on the cast after the premiere episode and I didn’t warm to anyone till like episode 5. I never warmed up to Kenzie but that is probably because she was a human personification of a Mary Sue with how she was edited.
Was I the only outright fan of Bhanu as a character? For me, he was EASILY the best part of what was otherwise a perfectly mid pre merge. Him and Jelinsky were the only pre merge highlights for me.

Completely disagree with Probst on Bhanu. Bhanu isn't critiqued for his authenticity but rather for how overly exposed his content is, zero self-awareness, and how much his content DRAGGED 4 episodes where one was 2 HOURS. He just isn't a good character. Jeff is just surrounded by sycophants like Dee and Devens who will never critique him, and his statement can basically be boiled down to "you're wrong for like liking my decision to cast him".

This was a very generous take on Kenzie's game. The term "social game" has become oversaturated. Kim in One World for example had a good social game. Leveraging your social connections to make what you want happen. Kenzie never did that, not once. She was charming maybe, but that's not "social game" like the term has been used before.
Her social game and 3 immunity wins is how she navigated to the end and got 5 jury votes.
@@OnceUponAnIsland We could say the same thing about Fabio and (almost) the same about Bob Crowley. I'm not particularly impressed by them either. But, IMO Kenzie is the weakest of the trio.

45 and 46 were good.
