Gennaro - do you know the porcini mushrooms that are gathered in the Vinschgau valley? My German wife introduced to this place and I love it there. Also - on account of your "Passione" book I went down to Amalfi this year.
Mrs. Farado made gnocci off the ends of an upturned forks tines, roll off, boom, a little gnocci. Break one goose egg into a well of salted flour. And I'd forgotten the rest, exactly. Do not remember any taters, lol. Thank you for the True Food. Don't eat anything your grandparents didn't. 😮. Food SAFETY. ❤
Gennaro yells out "arrangiarsi" while grating it, which roughly means "making good with what you have", so I'm going to guess it's a local Fontina, however, it looks too hard to be a Fontina. Maybe a pecorino toscano? They do meet a shepherd earlier in the episode. Then again, it could just be a bog standard gran padano or Parmesan that I'm sure the lads always have with them.
You guys should try NON DAIRY MILK. Cows milk is for baby cows. It’s better for you too. In a blender- 1 cup almonds, 3 dates, fill the rest with water, blend and done. 2 minutes. I worked in a dairy. The babies are taken away from they’re mothers at birth and never allowed to touch the mother. BUT the babies are kept about 20 yards away in plastic igloos so the mother can see her baby, otherwise she won’t give milk. They cry for each other 24 hours a day. It’s Diabolical Cruelty. ❤
