This is probably the best cooking episode I have ever watched. A mixture of everything real cooking is about, family, friends, and history. In one word: Superb!
My grandma is from Tuscany. I miss her. so much. And her cooking. I lost her at a very tender age but I have never forgotten. Her. She can never be replaced.❤❤❤Mia nonna. Mama Anna
Jamie, we just watched this episode like 3 hours ago, and now we’re sitting here eating the most delicious stracotto. It’s so tender and rich, literally melting in your mouth. I can’t get over how good it is! 🤤
I remember watching Jamie's wonderful first cooking show on television (!), when he was just starting out, and now I've discovered this lovely series, roaming the Italian countryside, featuring home cooking... And what a delight it is; it takes me back to my mother and my nonna's kitchen. Thank you Jamie, for the sweet memories...
Italy is on the 1st place in the gastronomic ranking for me🤌🏽🤌🏽🇮🇹. Unbelievably beautiful and absolutely perfect Italian food❤️. The beef cheeks are great (pappardelle👌🏽), sometimes I cook them with polenta... Thank you Jamie, I love it when you travel... #Tuscany❤️
18 years ago I was in a train station in France, just ran away from home, didn't know where to go. I saw a train for Rome and told myself ,, well I do like pasta.. why not ". I married an Italian girl and have two beautiful children now. I'm so happy I chose Rome
Talk about heaven on earth..wow.. Can you just imagine traveling through Italy, dining and cooking with the natives? OMG, I am Soooo jealous.. che bella vita
E allora vienici a trovare.
This makes me miss my own grandmother, a wonderful American cook and all her wonderful food. Watching these ladies and their wisdom and hands creating delectable meals with love. Thank you for taking us on these journeys once again.
BRAVO JAMIE Y GENARO ❤
Ohhh I just love grandpa’s expression when he’s throwing flour happily over the pretty noodles and watching the meat fall off the spoon-amazing ❤️so much love to you both, this is absolutely precious. THANK YOU for making this!!
Forget about Michelin star establishments. Home cooked food is the best...all around the world! Non pretentious, wholesome, original flavours and most of all...most of the time economical
I grew up watching your cooking show with my family. My dad was a chef and mom was a housewife and also an amazing cook. They both passed but I learned so much from them. I did my first cookbook and shared some of their recipes. I love cook and I will be cooking these.🙏 I definitely want to visit this place one day.
Wow hearing the owner of the olive plantation talk about doing it for the landscape, culture and health and being happy to break even brought me to tears. To hell with you capitalism!!!
I truly ebjoyed your episode.... delicious recipes.... those recipies are precisely how my mother cooked... She , having been born in Italy! And I continued in her style and tradition.... I took over my family kitchen when my mother passed and I simply blew my relatives !!!- My mediterraean recipes were delicious! And to this day I continue....I have passed on these delicious recipes to my children... They are also very healthy !!! I highly recommend you to try them! You will fall in love and will want to make it part of your repertoire!
Waiting a day to eat the meat and the sauce is even so much more amazing in flavor. I love this video!!!! Take care. From Southern California with love ♥️🍷
my nonna (grand mother) was from tuscany. she didn't have any problem to invite up to 10 friends of mine with just a 2 hour notice. my fault of course. but god bless you nonna Perosca wherever you are cooking now
Thanks Jamie, you are just the best! Thanks for sharing this and the other episodes. I enjoyed it the first time, now it's here to re-watch. The people are inspiring and friendly, and the places amazing. The combing of the olive trees is interesting, and that they just want to break even rather than profit. Hopefully living costs, clothes, medical , maintenance etc. are part of the breaking even budget.
Very enjoyable,&educational food, cooking, cultural & Historical show. And it's nice to see Jamie really gets the Italian Culture..( i mean he's happy in England, but I could def see him staying here for 3 months of the yr)
Dear Jamie, You have Out Done Yourself, You are So Precious For Cooking With The Grandmother's of Italy, They Are Our Pride and Joy And We Should Be Cooking Their Way. Awesome Show, Perfect to start the Holidays With! Mrs. Fawn Cheyenne Valley Joseph White Cloud Jett, USA, California.
My MA! She maka de sauce! She makes the marinara! When she makes it, she plays the operas. The notes come from the speakers, and they float across the air in the kitchen. The notes go into the sauce. The most important thing that makes it taste so good is that you are making it together! Salute!!
Yeah always the same stupid stereotypes. Grandma doesn't even speak English i don't know how she can speak with a new Jersey accent..🤦 @@alfioalfiani4261
MariaWerner What a stereotyped and useless rant 🤦♂🤦♂ ..there are tons of blonde Italian girls in Italy and i have never witnessed harrassment toward any girl in my life in Italy and i'm not that young either. Unless for "harrassment" you mean some staring or compliments, big deal. Get off your high horse, you have seen too many Hollywood movies, believe me..🤡🤡 Also this is Tuscany..we were civilized thousand years before you and it's more than sure that if someone harrassed you he was not Italian either( let alone Tuscan) and was the same that harrasses Italian girls as well. 🤦♂🤦♂

Love this episode. All the dishes look amazingly delicious (for meat lovers - I am a vegetarian; so I was eyeing on the silky velvety pasta with the rich tomato sauce instead!) and Jamie & Genaro seem to be a great company to each other. They're very friendly and sweet too with the nonas.
Thanks so much for this episodes! Personally, I learned more about flavor for a rich Italian sauce than any other video. I really hope you will continue filming if it benefits your schedule!
What an absolute treasure. Absolutely stunning and chock full of deliciousness. Beautiful people!! Thank you for sharing your journey through Tuscany❤️
A beautiful tribute to Tuscany I dream of a trip there and my favorite is pappardelle. I say pappardelle and noone knows what I mean where I live but here I would be a silly amateur
Thanks chef 🔝⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ At the first recipe “stracotto” , we use the same word for when someone gets drunk ‼️ in Cypriot Greek language ✔️😂😂😂 cause the meat was cooked in wine✔️ how everything connects 🤗
Another great episode about what is really worth sharing with your loved ones, homemade simple food! Also, can you list the ingredients for the homemade pasta with beef cheek ragu?
Right off the bat ALL of the foods look amazing, and I am sure taste that way too 😛I love a good Ragu no matter which way you make it. The homemade pasta is a key to it also, if you don't make your own pasta, you are really missing out on a great food experience, I even remember the 1st time I ever ate it as a spaghetti and I have never forgotten how much better it was than a box. The Boar recipe with black truffle is way over the top for 99.9% of us watching and we can't replicate that, so 👎on that one. The 1st & 3rd dishes we can all make and look amazing. SO you still got a thumbs up from me 😜
Jamie Oliver is the best Chef in the world. He is so passionate and drags you in his world so easily. So warm, gentle, simple explanation. I always get emotional while watching his video, it remind me the time When I watched it with my lovely mom When she was alive. She like him so much. God bless chef jamie Oliver, stay simply as you are. Tons of success. With all my melting heart full of Memories, from a syrian lady ❤❤❤❤

Poor Jamie! Genarrio is obviously his Handler, and Jamie did/said something wrong, and had to lose all that he'd worked so hard for!

I love how Jamie Oliver sometimes forgets that he is THE Jamie Oliver. Such a great & very humble chef
She was tickled by the young buck that was chopping and cooking in her kitchen. So adorable.

My mom was a talented Chef! What a precious Gem she was!!! She cooked all of these recipes and some....!

That countryside is typical of Tuscany, Umbria and probably Marche, central Italy, more than whole Italy.
The Nonna 's recipes being passed down is such a precious way to share it over and over.❤
Italy People,places, cooking
