@@TheOutsiderMTB How many days do you think it'll take for this trail to be rideable after this recent rain?
@@jaykim6412 3 to 4 id say
@@TheOutsiderMTB looks like I will hit this this weekend as the rain has gone away 😊
Good job on the history of Oaks. There is much to enjoy and appreciate there.
Thanks!
Been going to Santiago for over 20 years. Great to know a little history. Thanks
Glad you enjoyed it
My sister lived in that area... It looks like it recovered from the fire damage.. We grew up going to Irvine regional ...really a great park... There were many more farms when we grew up smaller farms asparagus strawberries oranges, etc. my grandparents came out in the '70s from New Jersey...a completely different world
Great background on the trail and region. Thank you!
🫡✔️
i appreciate the history of the land we conquer and ride... that is a very informative and funny clips! thank you for this segment... great way to learn about our passion riding these trails.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for that history meatball sandwich Mr. Marinara. Very cool and informative piece on my home trail system. Glad to see you riding Oaks more. It really is a fun place to ride, especially on an eMTB. Looking forward to learning more history about other OC Parks 🤓
You bet!
Im from Phoenix but was in the Anaheim area for work last week and wanted to ride this area so bad as I brought my bike with but only got to ride 1 day because of the long hours and the weather. I did however get to ride Simi Valley as one of my jobs was in the area and I got off early enough to ride. I watched your trail guide on the grudge. Great video by the way! Can't wait to come back and check out Santiago oaks!
Thanks good stuff Justin!
Thanks for sharing this - really cool to hear the history of trails we ride on. Honestly, I don't always even consider it, so its a great reminder of how to respect the land.
Totally agree!
Wow Tony !! I feel like your channel should be on the travel channel. So good !
Wow, thanks!
20 years ago, the park was basically a 1-way singletrack roller coaster. On a weekday, you'd never see anyone out there. John Ganahl (From the Lumber Store Family) gave money to the park and they turned it into the overused freeway it is today. I enjoy the variety of the trails, but I'd trade it all for the solitude of what the park used to be.
One day I was stressed from working in sales and just followed the trail from hart Park in Orange and ended up in Santiago oak Park. Best accident find I ever had. I just hiked all day and made it to the American flag there
That’s awesome

Love the new content idea. Not exactly Santiago but surprised you didn't touch on saddleback in this one
Gotta leave some room for more. Thanks!
Different riding then here in the mountains of North Carolina. Looks like fun for sure…

Great history! Is there a future for this segment? Maybe Aliso Woods?
Yep!
Rich in history, awesome video!
Yes! Thank you!
Tony also I like the end you said adios and the albondigas delicious
Haha ✔️
I still know where the cave was they hid out on on the old Blooms property. Probably hard to see now. The Blooms wanted that area to NEVER be commercialized or built up.
Good trails if you have an e-bike other than that I’ll pass if you like climbing this place is for you
Ebikes aren't allowed at Santiago Oaks anyway.
Good video but shitty music. Go with like 311
