This is a piece of a ride I am hoping to do: Start at Back Bay in Newport, then pedal to the SART, take SART to mile 23, then do this ride in reverse and finish taking Peter's canyon to Back Bay
It's about 10 miles from Start to the SART. My total ride was 25 miles when I rode Blue Sky Rd. to Weir Canyon Rd. and took it down to the SART, then I did all the "fun-cut" trails before returning to Irvine Park.
Thanks for the comment. I'm happy to answer questions if you have any. Maybe next time I'll also post more of the ride in segments and just put links in the description.
@@MTBMOR I'm trying to find a trial for a ride around LA. I'm watching your video to have some feelings about the trail. Santiago Oaks was recommended by a couple of people. So no specific questions for now )
@@ogamaniuk Cool, Santiago Oaks has some chunky trails like: Chutes Ridgeline, Waterfall, and Hawk. It also has some flow with Cactus, Yucca, and I would even say Barham Ridge. If you find a trail where you like the video let me know and I am happy to share more ride ideas. If you take Deer @3:40 instead of Alabama Hills from this video, then turn left @9:30( Staying on the main trail ) instead of taking the tiny right by the homes this ride will loop back on itself and provide a bit more variety.

How did you figure out that back door turn? It doesn't seem right
LOL I messed it up a few times and knew there had to be a way around to Weir Canyon Rd.
Doesn't the fun cut continue on the other side of Weir Canyon Rd? @14:03
Yes, ends at Santa Ana Cyn Rd
Yes, but I took the wrong path that ended in a dead end. I think it's the 2nd trail on the other side.
Going to try and hit this. Approximately how many miles is it?

@@MTBMOR BTW, are you coming back to the over the hump race? What class are you in?
@@ogamaniuk I hope to get in a race or two, but I've been dealing with a knee injury. Probably intermediate 50-59
