@@MonkFilmz when i look into those waterproof keybaords the science is pretty simple. they literally just put something between the switch and pcb which has something hydrophobic properties and then add drain holes. it's not expensive to do but it ruins the sound of the board.
I am actually really curious how the 5 dollar keyboard sounds if you'd fully mod it. Would also give you the chance how they managed to make it water proof!
surprisingly enough it his hotswap but then the hotswap sockets suck, the switches are rlly difficult to remove and when you place em back in they're incredibly loose
@@avidamateur4118 I never modded mine, but my spacebar stabilizers is really rattly. But what can you expect it's cheap, but my other keys are decent enough for someone new to the hobby like me.

Eyy Im currently using that Leaven keyboard. I changed the switches with a lubed gateron red (yes i know its very scratchy but i play osu hehe) and put a foam inside the case. And ofc the stabilizers are clipped and lubed with g205 and dieletric grease (for the wire). It sounds pretty good for me tho. Im planning to make a custom keyboard for myself :D
"I'm definitely not gonna recommend this keyboard to anyone" My friend asking for a keyboard and mouse package under $10: This is great! Seriously though, When I recommended a decent keyboard they say it's expensive when it's under $50
i mean, for 5$ you wouldn't expect to find a mech keyboard at all, let alone a waterproof one lmao ig you could just swap the switches for some gateron black inks, lube the stabilizers and it would still be below 70$
You should customize rk61 pro (switches, stabs, keycaps, foam, Etc.) Also difference between rk61 and rk61 pro is that rk61 pro is cnc aluminum and gateron switches
Even my 25 to 39 dollar keybored doesn’t light well it stays the same colour and the 5 dollar one lights up like rainbow other then that mine DANG great
Aaahh, you do realise this is 5$, right? 5$?!?? FOR THAT?!? 5$ can be just an absolute dog $H!T fresh orange juice at the beach. The price value of this thing is unseen. 😱🤯
So I have one of those 60% hotswap keyboards, very similar to sound and attributes of the $75 keyboard he showed off in this video. He mentioned that with an extra $50 you could make the keyboard a lot better, what specifically would I spend the $50 on then? Also my spacebar has the same exact thing as shown at 8:27 where it will only produce a nice sound when pressed in certain spots, how could I fix that?
Today I accidently fixed my mechanical keyboard no clue how it happened, but my keybaord works fine now. how it happened: I was tearing apart my keyboard which had both LED and PCB some buttons dead (6 buttons in total("4" "f4" "R" "F" "C" and "ALT" ) and I torn it apart till i had PCB eft then I put the cable back in and put a switch into "/" button then pluggled my keyboard in. Wiggled the switch little bit and BAM both LED's And pcb buttons work. Finally after like 3 mothns I finally fixed my keyboard no clue what was wrong with it tho. I wonder How long it will last. Lesson learned: never clip the metal leg parts on gateron red switches to fit Outemu hotswap socket. Buy outemu switches next time, so my ears don't bleed hearing blue Outemu switches. edit: some spelling mistake correction
Just ordered my custom keeb parts, luckily all in stock parts. Planck 40, durock v2 stabs, gray Polaris linears, epbt blank keycaps and a coiled cable in white.
I owned the 5 dollar keyboard before, the stabs are absolute shit and would rattle like maracas. After owning that im glad I upgraded to a 155$ keyboard lol
Hijami, did you leave a link for the waterproof keyboard? Is it also resistant to booze? I have got to buy one of those for those for drunk gaming night!

I’m actually so confuzzled on how it’s waterproof.

maybe it has some space at the bottom so water can store there and make it heavier. Eksde
