I'm curious as to why the $100 PC has a 9th gen i7 which also happens to be a laptop CPU? The i7-9750H was a high performance laptop chip when it came out and it usually was paired with a dedicated GPU in laptops. It seems like the IGPU was used intentionally.
If it's paired with a gpu it would run at 600 fps
In CPUs the iX doesn't matter that much, the thing that matters is the generation and this thing is 5 years old
@@SpyroticGoose when comparing other generations yes the iX isn't that important, but what is important is knowing the capabilities of any given processor, and that processor is capable of better performance. Not to mention the fact they claimed to have used a desktop despite it having a laptop CPU. Another distinction to make is that the age also doesn't determine how good or strong a processor is. Just because it's new doesn't make it better, and this goes back to the iX thing. A i5-13400F may be newer than the i5-12600K, but in terms of performance, it's worse overall.

Fact that Linus can get 50% more fps with the same setup because of the skill he has got he is awesome at overclocking but has a significantly higher chance of crashing

My old Laptop which was an HP Pavillion work laptop from 2016 had its fans broken in 2021 due to age and even though it broke. It could still run Minecraft with shaders and 10 mods on 15 - 25 FPS. My old Laptop was a GOAT... Before it permanently broke. RIP
i have same one with nvidia geforce 940m and ohh boy is it powerful
but my fans are just filled with dust

Lmao my dad have a similar laptop but it was high end in like 2010 so lts still performing surprisingly well and i even played Minecraft with it at more than 80fps probably because the motherboard died and we bought a brand new mobo though

That $100 rig actually has a pretty solid cpu that why it kept up but in newer version of minecraft like the one tested it is actually more GPU bound and that computer practically doesn’t even have one
