This series of videos are by far the most comprehensives ones available on YT related to FCB1010 and Kushview Element working togheter! The only doubt that appears to me, is if this workflow would work if you want to have more than two Neural DSP in the same instance...? for example if you want to use the Granophyre head with the preeffects and wah pedal of the Archetype Petrucci and a Nolly's cabinet.

If we are correct in your desire to have 2 multiple plugins chained together you can do it. Place the Granophyre head with the preeffects first and turn off the cabinet and other effects, go out of that and into Nolly's cabinet, again with everything else disabled, and finally the wah of Petrucci.

@@Ace43154 Reaper has so many capabilities we would actually need a little guidance from you to get started. Give us an idea of what you would like to do.
@@guitarschoollive I'd use it for live situations in the following way: run some orchestral backing tracks and a click track and have a few tracks for live guitars and bass, however guitar tracks would need to have a way of changing from clean to rhythm to lead etc. Pretty sure it's possible but couldn't find any real examples..

Hey guys random question. I have the fcb1010 and it’s on the stock 2.40 chip. I wanna integrate it with my looper the rc600. It seems now that all the buttons can have CC assigned to them but they also have PC messages assigned because when I press a button to affect a parameter within the looper it also changes the looper memory and I know that the memories work with PC messages. Is there a way to switch off the PC messages and only have the CC so I can just control the parameters within the looper without getting the un02 or fc505 chip? Thank you
I followed all the steps but when i do midi learn, it doesnt seem to pick up the expression pedal. Expression pedal works fine in standalone, however does not when using kushview elements. Elements midi monitor is showing that there is input coming through. Any ideas why this might not be working? Thanks

Hello. My soundcard / interface is ID44 MK2 and has not midi in / out at all. So could I use FCB 1010 somehow?
Might want to use a recording interface like Scarlett or Presonus.
There are many, those are off the top of head
do you use midi usb cable? can you recommend midi usb cable?

The cheaper cables do not pass the midi data for the FCB 1010 reliably.
If you are using multiple amp sims I would like to recommend trying out Reaper. You may find it much more flexible than using Element.

I have watched several of your videos and I still can’t get the neural sap plugin to recognize the foot pedal. The programming software works great and the pedals receive and transmit sys exclusivel fine. But when I go to the neural plugin, and hit midi learn, the plugin gets nothing. How do you set up the plugin to see the foot controller? That was never mentioned in any of your videos linking foot controller and the plugin. Any help would be welcome.

mBefore I begin I would like to note that no one will be in the studio until next week but I will attempt to assist you without being in front of a computer so please be patient with my slow response. With that said, more than likely the software didn’t automatically enable your controller. Follow the instructions in the short video below.

I watched the video and my midi interface comes up but not the FCB1010. I chose the midi interface but still no luck with the midi learn. I did go to the midi icon and manually put in the patch changes and the foot pedal successfully changes the patch so they do communicate. I would like to get the midi learn working though so hopefully next week when your back in front of your computer, you can come up with something that will work. I see in the comments that I am not the only one with this problem. I’m on a MacBook Pro with M2 chip running Ventura. I’m using a PreSonus io24 midi interface with the FCB1010 foot controller. Thanks for your help. If there is an easier way to communicate, please let me know. Email maybe.

We need to note that even though we provide support for our videos we have discontinued support for the Element software because the developer has abandoned the program. I've gotten to the end of the Plugin Setup portion of the video. When I press the up button and pedal one, the graphs don't change in Element. I'm not sure where to go from here.
Hello @jasonfelton4482, thank you for reaching out to us for assistance. Unfortunately we have discontinued support for Element because the developer has abandoned the software. However, the issue you seem to have is with the programming of the FCB1010. In order to troubleshoot the issue we need to know does Element change with the other pedals. Try manually selecting graph 11 and then step on Bank 0 pedal 1 and let us know if it switches to graph 1. Also, try the other banks and let us know your results.

@@guitarschoollive Thank you for your quick response! I guess I have some questions before proceeding with any troubleshooting. I followed your other video -- "How to Control Neural DSP Plugins with the FCB 1010 Midi Foot Controller" and the FCB1010 seems to work fine for controlling one of the Neural DSP plugins at a time (Gojira -- so far). If the developer of Element has abandoned the software, do you recommend that I continue trying to use it? Is the only benefit of Element the ability to load multiple Neural DSP plugins at once and use the FCB1010 to not only switch presets, but also switch from one plugin to another? Is there other software that offers that option?
I suppose I initially just wanted to be able to switch from a clean to a distorted to a lead tone in a single plugin while practicing songs or jamming. While the ability to switch between multiple Neural DSP plugins is very appealing...is it worth going down the rabbit hole of software that is no longer supported? Thank you for any advice you can offer here! And thank you for some great, very detailed tutorials! 😄

It’s a great software and will enable you to accomplish what you want to do but it’s somewhat expensive. Not only can you duplicate Gig Performer functionality in Reaper, you can also expand it to become more efficient. I'm using Mac with Bug Sur - it's not working - I get the Fatal Error message every time no matter what I try.
I can only find Neural DSP in the Unverified section but even then it won't work - I've tried re scanning for plugins at startup - same...
Anybody here have a solution ?
Or a software alternative to Element ?
Hello Magus King, unfortunately your problem is not unique to you. It seems as though the developer is not supporting the software (especially for Macs) as vigilantly as he once was when the software was for sale. PC users that contact us for support via the Facebook page just need assistance with setup. Mac users have the same problem; Fatal Error: 100000
As for similar software, Gig Performer is unmatched. However it’s not cheap! They have a generous trial period and there are groups dedicated to the software as well as robust developer support.
You can also opt to join Plugin Alliance and get it included in the package. See both links below.

@@guitarschoollive Got it. That would be a possible avenue for me to explore in the future in order to control multiple Plug-ins without working in my DAW. In the meantime I’ll try Element for my UAD plug-ins and see if it works.
However, for the time being, if I want to assign 10 different Neural DSP plug-ins to each banks in the FCB1010, it should be possible by repeating the same process you showed for Archetype Gojira, but starting from 1:1 to 1:10 and so on down the charts / Editor. Right ?
And I assume 10 plug-ins/ 10 banks is the maximum you can assign to the FCB1010… ( I have 14 Neural DSP plug-ins ) Unless I create and use a different Sysex File for the extra 4 plug-ins ?
Or 1 dedicated Sysex File for Each plug-in, then I can add many more preset changes using multiple banks ?
I've been able to get Neural plugins to work in Element if I delete the .settings file. HOWEVER, the Neural plugin will generate a new .settings file after every use, which means deleting it every time that you want to use it.
Hi, i recently set up the fcb1010 to control my plugins sucessfully. Now i am attempting to set up my laptop and for some reason the my soundcard is not showing up under midi devices tab. I also installed element and that is not contolling the fcb1010 either. My plugins work fine as stand alone. Can you help. thanks

@@guitarschoollive yes everything works in both element and the fcb1010 manager, except that on the manager the MIDI send and recieve buttons are grayed out and the sound card does not show in options/MIDI devices. The MIDI cables are corrected connected, unit is powered on and usb is connected. In element, on the graph I/Osection, the midi input device is grayed out and when i add (midi in) the box says (no device)
Are you using a usb to midi cable?; If so, the only one that works is the Roland UM-ONE mk2 USB MIDI Interface.
