You gotta change your gear after 2000Rpms bro.😂 That thing doesn't wants before 2k. Unless if you're on gear 4 it'll be ok to shift upwards to gear 5 but before that don't shift before 2K rpm cause it'll vibrate a lot. I owned this car and driven about 40K mileage on it. Coming 50k for 5 years and let me tell you. The sweet spot for changing gears for this 5L-E Prado is 2200RPM for most of the gears ( 1- 3) except for 4 to 5 you can do it close to 2000RPM or 1900RPM it'll be fine. I can't bare looking or even listening to it haha. But those r the nice spots for you to change your gears mate👌🏻
@@princessprado120These engines need to be revved. Shifting anything under 2000rpm WILL lead to a glazed bore and faster carbon build up in the motor. Toyota released an official statement years ago addressing this. The sweet spot for shifts is 2500-3000, this will keep your fuel economy at its best and your motor healthy.
@@princessprado120 I am going to be honest with you, you're changing your gears quite low imo. Send this video to a friend of mine who daily drives a diesel car, but he also has the same opinion as me. maybe try changing the gears at 2200rpm instead cause making the car vibrate too much don't sound too good and the passengers isn't going to enjoy a ride with lots of vibration, isn't? haha
@@misterpotato4775 Thank you for your advice and interest. However, the vehicle does not vibrate at low revs - the road surface is not even. At the same time, I have low fuel consumption at low revs at higher speeds. In the video, there were some intersections with poor visibility and I was driving carefully. In 5th gear, at 90 km/h it is around 2400 rpm. I occasionally go over 3000 rpm on a freeway or going uphill. @@misterpotato4775Today I tried to shift gears (1st, 2nd and 3rd) when reaching 2000 rpm. I did not like it. After 1500 rpm the speed was increasing very slow and the engine was so loud with little effect.
Hi, I wanted to ask if do you find the gear shifter to be quite far from your sitting position or is it just the right amount? is it just the Right Hand Drive drivers only problem is that the gear shifter is too far off to the Left. Do

a Turbo a day keeps the slow away. Very good video 👍
I love the Prado, it's great and comfortable

Sir, aren't you changing your gears on a very low RPMs? i change mine higher around 2k rpm to ensure the car doesn't rattle much haha.
This engine has enough torque at low revs. When going uphill, I shift gears at higher revs.
@@princessprado120 ik but the engine wouldn't really like it if it's vibrating and beig NA engine makes it rattle more than a turbocharged ones.

Doesn’t it feel underpowered? 5L-E is a great and reliable engine, but LC120 needs more power

$598.63 annual tax in Morocco on a Prado
In my case is 243 $, but if no driving experience and a region with high rate of incidents - 330 $.
