If I needed to flush the engine with a jet of water, I would do it on very hot and dry days, disconnect the battery and let it dry before starting. Do not direct the water jet at connectors, alternator and other electrical devices.

The 5L-E engine was designed not to have a turbo. The turbo will reduce its reliability. Instead of installing a turbo on the 5L-E, buying a vehicle with turbo engines 1KZ-TE or 1KD-FTV is better.

Hi! I have already answered you regarding fuel consumption and will repeat the same message (It was on a paved road with some hills, with speed limits of 50 km/h and 90 km/h, to the destination and back. I was driving alone with a full tank and about 50 kg of stuff on the way back. The result was 7.99 liters/100 km) The vehicle just passed 188000 km and it is from 2007. Thank you!

@@pauloguillenr86 Driving uphill - yes, if the driver wants to go faster. Momentum must be maintained. The engine configuration is a compromise to have a relatively low fuel consumption.

If your vehicle's engine sound is the same as mine, everything is probably fine. This is the sound of this old type of diesel engine. The hood insulation will probably reduce the noise a bit.

If the exhaust has holes due to rust, yes. If it's genuine Toyota though - keep it.

@@princessprado120 My 120 is a surviving model. 8 seater. 6 with belts. Two foldable in the cargo space. 3 seats in first row (driver and 2 persons). Surviving because there is nothing what can go defect when crossing a desert....no ABS but airbags and A/C and a lot of diesel. Manual and not permanent 4x4. I have the car in the Philippines now for the winter time. Normally I live in Austria where only D4D is available because of emission laws. 5L without converter runs forever. I drove for testing vegetable oil 3.000 km pure oil without any changes. Runs perfect! Now the veggie oil became expensive☹️. The best car I ever had in 40 years driving license. I wish I knew that 20 years ago and could have peace of mechanics......Never felt the engine too weak. 120 5L forever🙂🙂 (2004 103k milage)😍

Hello! This is subjective. The vehicle is naturally aspirated - without a turbine. The speedometer is up to 180 km/h, but according to the manual, the maximum speed is 145 km/h. At 120 km/h, a warning sign "120 km/h" appears on the dashboard. It has 95 horsepower, which means that THE ACCELERATION IS SLOW in comparison with other vehicles. The gears are short and on a flat asphalt road after 50 km/h, the highest 5th gear can be used. At 2400 revolutions at the tachometer it has the best ratio between torque and horsepower, and it is 90 km/h in 5th gear on a flat terrain. When going uphill it is necessary to downshift and increase the revs and the engine becomes noisy. The engine sounds good at 50 - 70 km/h in 5th gear (on a flat terrain).

The result was 7.99 liters/100 km. In difficult conditions and in a city, consumption has no limits.
