@@intensav8241 amg prices where I live are extremely overinflated so that was really out of the question, and the speed really doesn’t matter much to me, the 250 is responsive enough to make it fun even though it’s fwd. just the sound is a bit lacking and the diamond grille just doesn’t look as nice
In my pre-facelift 68 reg c43 I did not have the 'slippy' mode. I did however have an 'eco' mode. My premium plus model also had the 'glide' mode which disconnected the transmission when decelerating. Useful in slow moving motorway traffic where I was able to get 45 MPG. And for anyone here considering a pre-facelift c43, the engine pickup in comfort mode is slow along with the turbo lag.
So I just bought a 2020 C-class, and when I have it in Sport+ mode it up shifts perfectly, but when I put my foot on the brake it downshifts pretty hard, NOT EXTREMELY HARD, but just enough to the point where I can feel it
Its normal for these c classes to sometimes shift kinda rough. People often thinking there is fault wasting so much money trying to fix that but it just works like that
I prefer sport plus over comfort. I think the ride and comfort is too unsettled and jiggly. My car does have economy mode which I use on occasion but still prefer a sport plus. I have heard people say that the AMG models right write harder than the standard ones but the right on mine as really comfortable and the noise levels are appropriate for a luxury car.
I am getting the CLA45S and mine is due December/January. I have never driven an automatic before. Can you do a do's and don't's video between a manual and automatic vehicle? 🙏🙏 p.s love the videos.
Hey Luke, sounds great hope it arrives in December! Don't worry you will get used to the automatic. Have you seen my paddle shifter tips video?(th-cam.com/video/0PRpKo0hD4U/w-d-xo.html) I do plan to do a full automatic guide with my CLA45s once I've got it too!
I'm absolutely loving your videos and I've learned a lot from you for my 2020 c43. One thing I noticed lately is that whenever I'm on sport+ mode and automatic transmission I feel a noticeable delay of the power delivery after I floored the gas paddle. I paid attention to your video and also found similar delay at th-cam.com/video/YIevHfjbU5E/w-d-xo.html where the car down shift 2 gears and then start to give you boost, so this doesn't really happen instantly and there's always a delay. I feel a bit annoyed about this delay because sometimes when I drive locally I need to pass slow cars and merge lane, this delay may cause me to miss the time window. I will understand the delay to be occurring in comfort mode but in sport+ I want the power whenever I hit gas hard... Would you please advise how to mitigate this throttle delay? Much appreciated!
Hey @attitude4334, Thanks for the nice comment It's so great to hear you've been enjoying the vids and learning lots! I've just had a think about this and there's two things that you may be experiencing. The first could be that the delay is simply the car not changing gears fast enough. If your cruising in 7-9th gear for example on the motorway then you floor it the cars going to jump down to a lower gear eg 3rd and there will be a slight delay since It's changing down the gears before accerating. The 9tronic is fast but It's not the fastest gear box. The second could be turbo lag which is something both the w205 C43 and C63 suffer from since they are twin turbo charged engines. The turbos have the spool up so sometimes you can experience a minor delay although It's not too bad in the AMG's it's certainly there. Have you tried resetting your TCU to optimise your Sport+ mode to It's most aggressive settings? I have a video on this here: th-cam.com/video/MIbrFUt16gA/w-d-xo.html Hope this all helps! Happy driving, Adam.
@@ABAUTOAMG thanks so much for your reply. Yes I did follow your awesome video to reset the TCU and I believe I did it correctly. However after the tcu reset and I’ve been driving like a lunatic, this delay seems still there when the car is at low speed (which is when I’m driving the car locally, I don’t experience much delay on highways). I also tried to manually down shift 2 gears before hitting gas. I noticed when I did this, it only immediately downshift 1 gear and then wait for about half a second downshift another gear. It seems the gearbox doesn’t really react to my manual downshift fast enough.
Thanks great content just out of interest when the conditions are wet do you stay in comfort or would you still use sport or sport + if you’re not keen on slippery, or is sport + only really for good road conditions?
Hey Paul, Thanks! I will be honest I rarely used slippy in the rain since the c43 4matic is so good so comfort is ok but in the ice and snow slippy is a safer choice :)
@@ABAUTOAMG Thanks for the reply, in your opinion is sport and sport + with the 4 matic all wheel drive capable in wetter conditions? Thanks Paul! I use sport+ quite a lot in the rain on my C43 and its still really grippy. With the CLA45s you may need to be a bit more carful because the sportier modes are a bit more playful due to the 4matic+ system.

i’m so excited my 2019 c43 is being delivered on june 29th! 4 days away!!!!
Hows the car doing after 2 years 🎉?

Finally I'll be getting one early next year
Congrats man 🔥
You're gonna love it man! Congrats 🔥

I’m absolutely in love with this car 🥰 my cla250 got an eco mode which is unsafe to drive because there is no power
which year cla250 do you have? I have a 2021 cla250 and I was wondering if you’ve done any mods on it

@@intensav8241 thanks a lot! been thinking of the panamericana grille change and an aftermarket exhaust but i don’t know if I should go for it
I suggest you to keep it stock for warranty and to keep the class look of it. If you want more sound save money and buy an amg

Fantastic car. I love him
Just got mine remapped to a stage 1 it's output is now 420 bhp and 620 torque it's an absolute powerhouse
I was thinking to remap mine i got an estate version. Someone told me not to do so because its not good for the engine now im in 2 minds lol
Doesn’t remapping void the warranty?

“Right write”? What’s that mean please?
In slippery mode it also helps the car to be kept stable when pressing hard on the brakes on black ice

I wish the S mode has the same loud exhaust cracks and pops as S+ mode.
Ah, me too.. It all makes sport+ feel more mad though when you do flip across :)
Drive : moderate , suspension : sport plus. Thats my setup whenever I hop into the car. moderate drive is already fast and sporty enough.
Sounds good!
question if i turn off my car in sports mode when i turn it on the next day will it be on drive mode or same

I am thinking of getting the 2019 c43 myself. How is it reliability wise ?
Hi Nick, I had no problem in my first 3 years. I think it’s pretty solid if we’ll maintained and serviced.
