    My professionally tuned 2019 C43 (100% stock aside from 2 KnN air filters) is putting down 450HP/540TQ TO THE WHEELS. Throwing down 0-60mph in 3.7s and 1/4 mile in 12.0@114mph with a full tank of gas and 2 child seats in the back.. Then gets 30mpg on the way home and can get me and my family through the New England Snow in luxury. Find me a sedan that can do all that for $65k ($1200 tune included)!!

      @@CSink90 I'm not sure where you live, but I got my tune done at BrenTuning in MA. He works on everything from Subarus to Lambos.. People drive and trailer their cars from as far as Florida, Cleveland, Toronto and Texas to get him to work on their cars. He normally has a huge waiting list too. I'm a friend of the owner (got a discount and didn't need to wait 3 months) as I have been taking my cars to him for work for as far back and 2003 when he was working out of a small garage. Now he has a huge operation. Him and his Mercedes tuner are flatout magicians... I was quoted almost $5k from another place in Boston area for Renntech tune and they don't even do their own work! They wanted to mail my ECU out for 2 weeks! And the power boost was about half of what Brennan did, and it was the first time he even seen the new 2019 C43 engine setup. He took my car for 3 days, and worked on it and tested it until it was perfect.

My tuned C43 is nearly seeing the same numbers to the wheels, weighs a lot less and im running 12s flat in the 1/4 mile. Where did you come up with 11.5s? With some in car electronics that give laughably accurate results? Mine comes from a time slip at an actual drag strip

    In Canada, you can buy the estate version which is surprisingly good looking with the right colours. Does this engine have a particulate filter and restrictive cats? If yes, has anyone removed them with positive results?

    • @collegequestions7100
      @collegequestions7100 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      My understanding (I own a 2020 coupe and my parents have a c43 estate) and they don’t have the particulate filters! They have a stop limiter though when you’re sitting in park and trying to rev the engine

    Ryan, do you long for the C43 Wagon? As a PNWer, I think the wagon would suit that area quite well and it would suit my preferences even better. And I believe most of that coupe's options were not necessary; but daggum, those packages and option stacking kill the MSRP. Is it stiil better to lease, or could you get away with one and buy?

    This question might be stupid to you, but I always wonder why the prices mentioned in videos from the US are so low compared to the prices here in Germany.
    So I was wondering if the prices mentioned here and in other videos from the US are not including taxes.
    You know in Germany mentioned prices are always including taxes and the only way how these US prices make any sense to me are if they are without taxes and you still have to add something like at least 20 % tax.
    So am I right to assume that mentioned prices are without taxes and you still have to add VAT and maybe other costs?

    • @drivingsports
      @drivingsports  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We do have to add taxes here in the US and those can vary widely depending on your state of residence. It’s nowhere near 20%. Closer to 10%.

      Paul M the c class is Mercedes best selling model...hardly irrelevant. The mustang is also a muscle car the c43 is a performance luxury car. Not an apples to apples comparison.

    • @pfeamg9658
      @pfeamg9658 5 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      Paul M also car and driver test drive both the gt350 and the c43 coupe and both had the same 0-60 speed of 4.1 seconds. Not that c&d is the be all end all but the mustang is hardly “destroying” the c43.
      There is no doubt the mustang is the better selling car, but that is more indicative of the lower price point options for the mustang and doesn’t necessarily reflect that it’s a better car. For example the Toyota Corolla is the best selling car in the world by about 10 fold over the mustang. But I rather have the mustang. The Corolla may be more reliable than the mustang but no where near as cool or fun to drive.

    I have a C43 AMG Cabriolet. It's a lovely car. It gets lots of looks and comments, is nicely quick and agile and can still get 30mpg on a road trip....BUT....I'm only a 2" pothole away from a significant expense from a flat tire or cracked wheel or both. I've had 5 or 6 flat tires and 3 cracked wheels in the first 25k miles. For this reason, I am very reluctant to take it out of town because of the huge inconvenience. I have had several other cars with low profile or run flat tires and not had this problem in identical driving conditions. I've noticed that others are having similar problems on Mercedes Benz forums.
