Warthunder grind isn't too bad until like 8.3+ and you shouldn't really play past ~6.3 if you want to actually have fun.

@@genertec I mean baldhead was thinking the same thing and his aim was so shit my baby 1,800 hour ass cringed to hell and back. I can't even begin to describe how many things can go wrong.
Lead indicator is ass anyway. It predicts the current path - if your enemy changes their direction while you're shooting them, the lead indicator is actually useless bc it's attempting to predict where the enemy plane will be based on their speed and where they're pointing at right now - so the moment they turn, you miss. That said, Asmon kept missing a bot that was flying straight ahead. Hell, most of the time the lead indicator is wrong even on a straight path. Early on, a lot of the time I found that I need to shoot next to, ahead of or behind where the indicator shows. All this gets exponentially worse in Realistic.
Tutorial is a bit condescending, sure, but you really aren't gonna do too well if you just ignore it, unfortunately, which is so ironic when you consider just how much you're gonna start doing things OPPOSITE of what the tutorial tells you. I could honestly swear I've never ever used W for Throttle control and the idea is weird af to me. I use it to pull up, Throttle is controlled with Shift and Ctrl for me plus mouse wheel for fine control (at higher tiers you're gonna want to have, say, 92% Throttle specifically for the AV-8A on certain maps, since higher than that it overheats and lower than that you're just unnecessarily going slower than you could; in jets, speed is your lifeline).

also i played WT back in the day, W/S USED to be up/down only, but in an update a few years ago they changed the whole control scheme and made W/S throttle

Well thats not really how it works, the most important part of an ad is the beginning, if you are gonna hook people and get them interested then it should happen at the start, the ad has diminishing returns the longer it goes on for, which means that he likely wouldnt get paid the same rate for the entire ad.
the real war thunder experience, launching the game only to test drive funky looking premium vehicles and then shutting it off. Finally a war thunder streamer I can relate to

This game is literally amazing and super popular. Easily one of if not THE BEST free to play games that exist. No game, paid or free, is as indepth and optimized as War Thunder. Its quite literally one of the best games out there

We've watched him play vs bots. He doesn't know how to lead planes, where to aim at tanks or what ammo to use. Real players would nearly insta kill him. It would be a lobby simulator.

Exactly those rockets were make made to take out bunkers and they are high explosive rockets, not armor, penetrating rockets, but either way in real life, it would crack the armor and turn the crew inside into Jell-O

Personally, I 100% think realistic battles is where the meat of the game is at. Arcade battles just feels too much like RC carts. I get why a bunch of people have fun in it, but war thunder absolutely shines in realistic battles.

Aircraft is highest skill but I think tanks is highest strategy/knowledge. Most tanks are slow so mistakes are punishing, learning maps, positioning for hull down or angled armor, what ammo to use, how to recognize and know where to shoot different tanks.

I had a lot of fun in WoT but I started playing it right after it came out so I got to experience the God-like dominance of death from above artillery splashes and going stealth hunter killer mode in the Hummel. It was a blast!
My favorite armor by far was the Porsche Tiger variant. Extremely slow but if you angled the chassis just right, it bounced almost every armor piercing shell and shrugged off high explosive damage like a boss. However, the engine damage and fires were a big problem. Many a crew burned to death.

Bro I've been playing warthunder for nearly a decade now. I have around 8000 hours. This is not the kind of game I would have ever expected asmon to play. Although to be fair warthunder is kind of just a ww2 gacha game if you really think about it.

Well it can suck you in pretty fast, but on higher levels the money not really counts, the money wont fly your plane ;) and believe me there are really great pilots out there. Lots of real pilots play this game also.

If you play two hours a day you’d unlock&upgrade everything after 50,000 days, or 137 years. Half of that time is spent unlocking the vehicles. 400,000 thousand matches with 1,000rp/match total.
If you pay the moneyz it’d be around 45k usd to unlock&upgrade everything.
It’s crazy to think this has a playerbase considering how gaijin handle player progression

Bro if you getting 1000rp match idk what to tell you. Thats like getting an assist and dying and then just dipping out. The Grind is a ballache, do not get me wrong. But the average player probably makes 3-4k a game.

I’m approaching 2100 hour logged, and I can say this; there’s more than enough accounts that are bots, or play worse than bots. Game has a whole bunch of stuff dedicated to knowing where stuff is and where you need to be, but people will drive in one direction then blame a nation or vehicle when (in that example) it was their own damn fault.
Not everyone wants to have everything in every tech tree. If you only play for the grind to unlock shit then you better stop playing altogether.

I every single British Tank, Plane, Heli in the game. I have top tier in Sweden, USA, Russia, Germany.
The game has so many flaws to try to make you spend money. But i prefer it to its main competitor WOT. Which is just PowerCreep hell. And tanks someone once drew on a sheet of paper in a pipe dream.
I just ignore games with in app purchases like a plague.
