Totally not an engine failure. Guy just hit the curb on the other side of the road and was flung around that corner. No spine was intact so the A-10 kill wasn't even needed :P
@@Fakename-ub8pw I know my friend. He did it twice. And I'm racking my brain trying to remember if it's actually thrice times lol. Around these parts he's known as the great toilet-bomber. No one can make a bigger GUUULUUCK than he can and make an absolute mess of the enemy down wind
My cousin was a Warthog driver in the first two Gulf wars and used to send me letters about missions just like this. It was what solidified my interest in aviation and made me want to fly fighters.
Never get tired of hearing that gun, the technical with AA was a whisker from becoming legendary. Not much that rattles you GS, your calmness and understatements are comedy gold.
The thing that really makes the A-10 so awesome for CAS is it's ability to loiter for what feels like days, and carry enough ordinance to stay busy the whole time. Look at how much freedom GS dispensed in this video, and he still had 6 Mavericks, 2 9x's, a bunch of rockets, a 500 pounder, and plenty of 30mm left. I'd love to see a competition between this and the Apache for who can get the most points/kills in a single flight.
I did boot camp at Fort Knox, Ky. I absolutely LOVED when we would patrol at night. The A-10's would hit the range and I was treated to the sinister howl of the A-10 engine with flashes of light and booms as they pounded the range.
Dude that was awesome. And it was really cool to see the A10 gun in action. I'm always hearing the gun but never the gun fire. That was pretty awesome. And I love the updates
"We were just engaged in a friendly round of Spin the Pickle with our good friend Mr. Rococo..." -- Firesign Theater, from "The Further Adventures of Nick Danger, Third Eye". Love seeing the A-10 in action. Thanks.
Those rockets were pretty nice. I find it interesting that the A10 often relies upon targeting techniques that were developed in WW2 (albeit with some rather powerful technical enhancements). There's something to be said for "point and shoot and the projectile will fly in a straight line."
That second technical gunner, probably tried to catch that JDAM like a football... "What the hell bro... that hit you right in the hands and you still dropped it"🤣🤣
GBU-84 is a bit much for a technical is a bit over-over kill. Maverick would be smarter, but I do like the enthusiasm. Rocket technicals more fun, they tried to run and died tired. AA technical was trying to make a golden BB shot at you. Well done.
Please create a vid with The A-10C and F-15E! While working together, competing for kills(+important kills;), best ground support, and of course survival! VS 2 Mi-24's, Tunguska, Pantsir, SA-11, and 2 SU-25's! Plus provide ground support VS Technical Trucks, BMP's, T-72's, and 2 T-90's!🙏👍
Can the multirole strike planes mount Mavericks? I'd love to see a CAS mission with Mavs being done by a Strike Eagle or a Viper and see how it compares.

I think you hit the second technical right between the gunners eyes 😂
No need to kill that last technical, that 90 degree left turn at 80 mph killed them all.
😅🤣🤣
10:40 that truck had manoeuvring that would make a Raptor proud 😂
Totally not an engine failure. Guy just hit the curb on the other side of the road and was flung around that corner. No spine was intact so the A-10 kill wasn't even needed :P
That’s what I came to say. Who knew Toyota trucks handled like a Ferrari in 3x motion?
Looney Tunes aah physics
10:36 This guy pulled some high G maneuver to escape the BRRRRRT but it didn't work😂😂
I need to know what tires were on that technical.
He did a 90 degree turn straight out of 'Tron.'
GS: “ive never dropped a more accurate JDAM
Me: *remembers the porta-potty incident*
Which one? Lol
@@galatians-2.20 GS once dropped a 2000-pound JDAM onto a toilet
@@Fakename-ub8pw Once?

that was the best DCS moment i've ever seen
the detail and animations of that guy on the technical moving around the AA gun is insane...
The visuals are amazing, as usual. This is what separates you from the other sim player content creators.
I know how he even stepped over the inner fender cover well is crazy.
He picked up his foot to get around the gun mount.. that is some SERIOUS attention to details.
Not to mention the truck suspension reacting to the recoil. Side to side, front to back depending on the gunner pivoting.

It's not a fighter though. 🤔
“Driver”
He didn't call himself a pilot, he called himself a driver. And yes, the hog is CAS. I wanted to fly the Viper.
Never thought I'd be able to learn a DCS module, but you made the A-10 look like so much fun I had to pick it up. Having a blast with it!
Great to hear it. It’s an awesome aircraft to learn. I pushed myself to learn it a while back and I’m glad I did it’s a lot of fun.
I am self-taught too.
Awesome plane. Totally worth it.
DCS video when???
6:18 "look at all these dead guys... haha!" spoken like a true A-10 pilot 🤣
You mean vaporized soft targets?
Because amongst fixed-wing pilots, only A10 pilots can SEE them LOL
Never get tired of hearing that gun, the technical with AA was a whisker from becoming legendary. Not much that rattles you GS, your calmness and understatements are comedy gold.
It's my favorite plane, I could easily watch this sort of thing for hours!! The sounds, the engines, the slightly oversized gun in front, amazing!!
“I don’t think I ever dropped a more accurate JDAM than that.” There was once a man in a porta potty who would have disagreed with that statement.
That was 10 months ago night mission
Still got me ded
That man at 2:30 was *steppin*
Just one of those things you really aren't supposed to see that close in an aircraft-centric simulator.
10:40 Jesus man. Taking that turn at Mach chicken 😂😂
You wouldn’t happen to have been a speirstheamazinghd fan by chance?
Great mission. Thanks for doing the work to make the vids available. Close air support is critical.

I'm sure that 'Hawk jock appreciated the turbulence from your flyby 8-)
Hawk crew chief here: we absolutely loved when the a10's were around, hardly any better escort/protection then an a10.

A-10 videos are always my favorite... thanks GS.
2:27 God, I love that moonwalk. Literally a "Smooth operator" that guy!
10:39 it's a 120G left turn performed by that technical... Pretty impressive specially from the gunnary man still standing there.
OH, yeah! LOVED watching those JDAM’s glide in to take out their targets! Nice touch! 😂

Can't imagine how many times operations like this took place in real life, just the comfort of having an A10 watching your back

And here I am thinking 2000lbs GBU's are meant for porta-potty's only.
10:39 That was the fastest left turn I've seen since Nascar ran on a half-mile oval. 😂
Nah that left turn is quicker than F1 and that is a truck
Troops in *Contract??* And here I thought those guys were gig workers from DoorSlash, or maybe Uber Beats!
Loool fixed.
Thank you for sharing the mission files, really enjoy playing along.
The guys at Fairchild Republic would never have envisioned one day their mighty A-10 tank buster would be going toe to toe against a Toyota Hilux.
A-10 = Like
Always a good day when GS posts an A-10 video!
The A-10 is the definition of the meme "get rid of that direction"
Always good. Loving the content, lately.
4:15 That's a little bit of an overkill😅😅 i like it
Always a good day when we get an A-10 CAS vid from Growling Sidewinder!!
😸👍
Nice flight appreciate all your work.
Love it. Can watch A-10 vids all day.
The animation on the techinical on the gun was super cool!
I never get tired of these A-10 videos.
A10 warthogs turning small arms fire into no arms fire since 1977
Gonna be a good year for Toyota. Those lads are going to need some more trucks.
Gotta love the Hog
I love the sound of the A-10 flying by!
That was fun man. Thanks
i love cas videos can't wait for this one
F15-EX with AIM174
It's like they were made for each other.
Was scared you were gonna down that Blackhawk with your jet wash! Great vid 😄
that last shot on the technical would be scary
Just a small little cosmetic thing...but I love how they even modeled the gunner's movement in the toyota...he even STEPS over the bar
Always good. Rock on.
4:00 “Close enough” is good enough. 👍
You were meant to drive the A10! Great job. :)
Great to hear "LongShot" is still around 👍
Never gets old, the sound of that GAU cannon.... brrrrrrrrrt. UNF
Congrats on 600k! (ultimate pre-fire)
Pretty cool little mission
Always love the strike missions
Warthog !!! One of my favorites !
Love these!
Looks so badass
Airsupport loves doing their flyby's.
Brilliant as usual. Any action with my childhood favourite, the harrier jump jet?
Love the A10 missions
Yes we love the a10 😍
gotta watch out for those orange missile launchers on defenetly not scimitars
Yo love you videos Growling
Would love to see you do this with the Su-25. It needs more love
I love the view from the gun at 10:26 . I wonder if it would look good during dogfights ?
Hitting the wrong side of the hill with your artillery. It's all in the training. LMAO
8:57 those sounds 🤤
That man at 2:36 got some ZESTY ass stepping
That tree almost had you!
Never getting tired of hearing that "bbrrRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT"

all these rockets and JDAMs... I'm here for the BRRRRRRRRRRRRR
"Hey look, an airplane carrying hundreds of rockets. Let's shoot our popgun at it."
imagine how scared these guys must be, having a warthog hunting them down

Maybe an A10 guns only dogfight vs an super hornet. The a10 could take the lead by being slow and forcing an overshoot
GAU8 should be called the GR8. Best sound effects ever

Rock on.
please more A-10
I was entertained!!!!
APKWS my beloved
Awesome.
The A10 will be putting warheads on foreheads for years to come. A flying missle tank with the best gun in the air.
Gotta love the Warthog. Was it fully armed?
Please fly The F-15EX VS The MIG-31 BVR!
Please fly The F-15STOL/MTD VS The SU-30SM Dogfight!
I know we joke that Toyota will never go out of business for this reason, but man they can do alot with them old tacoma's man good lord
Keep an eye out for the outhouses the enemy uses! That's where all the shit happens!
